Ryan helped us today with a nail trim, and he was incredibly gentle, patient, and kind--it made the whole experience completely stress-free. I've tried other places before, but nothing compares to the level of care here. The front staff is always so welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care. They take their time to explain everything and never rush you, which I really appreciate. If you're looking for a vet clinic that's compassionate, professional, and truly puts your pet first, I highly recommend this place.

When we moved to Encino 2 years ago, we never expected a Veterinary center to be a blessing. This business and all of its staff included are THE BEST we've ever experienced. The doctors are kind, patient, knowledgeable, and professional. Their pricing is unbelievably fair for the service provided. They cared for our most important girl, Remy, throughout the last years of her life. When Remy was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor 2 years ago, we trusted Dr. Kallisher who successfully removed it with great margins and gave our beloved a clean bill of health. Last winter, Remy's cancer unfortunately returned. This time as an inoperable mast cell tumor. We were beyond devastated. This time Dr. Cohen became her primary. Dr. Cohen was with us every single step of the way. Quite literally every single time we had a question about medications, refills, or any other situation. We thank her and her staff profusely for the patience and care they showed to our amazing girl. I am not over exaggerating when I say that with Encino Veterinary Center and Dr. Cohen we were able to enjoy our last months with our cherished dog. As long as we live in Encino or Southern California (likely forever), we will never take our animals to another Vet. We thank you for your hospitality, kindness, and care that you've shown from the bottom of our hearts.

The testimonials and 5-Star reviews are what brought me here, but it'sthe tireless dedication, expert skills, love and compassion of each and every staff member that's kept me here. Their level of care, medical attention & affordability are unparalleled. This place was referred to me and I'd love to pay it back by writing this review. I'm grateful beyond measure for all their efforts, and as we all well know... It Takes a Village. I'd like to thank some of the heroes in this one. Thanks to: Rashit, Fritz, Orion, Louisa, Dolores, Lily, Gary, the pharmacy and especially to the amazing and talented Dr. Cha. I hope I'm not forgetting anyone, because everyone there is part of the dream team. My story is also a successful one, so I won't go into great detail. I've only shared here about the quality of my experience. I encourage you to read for yourself, and to build your own with them. I believe that you'll come to the same conclusion that all of us have. Since my last review (where our dog Peanut had a near-fatal overdose of dark chocolate and was saved by Dr. Salpi and team)... we've had a few more unfortunate emergency run-ins with our precious pit bull. First, our doggy was attacked in our own home and while she did her best to put up a fight and protect me... she was left very badly wounded. The hospital was nearly closing and Dr. Salpi immediately washed her wounds and gave the clearance for an emergency surgery next AM with Dr. Dhillon (who very kindly squeezed us in during his hectic work day). Turns out washing the wounds immediately just as Dr. Salpi did helped prevent very serious infections! The surgery was a great success and this staff treated Peanut like their very own. They gave her so much love, care, lots of hugs and kisses and frequently updated me on her recovery. We wanted to wait a few months until Peanut healed to spay her (as my husband and I had heard about pyometra risk)... low and behold the same month we had planned her spay surgery, Peanut had life-threatening pyometra. We could tell she was off and brought her in as soon as possible... Dr. Dhillon once again went above and beyond in her surgery. He even stayed extra to make sure we could squeeze her in before it was too late (and before she went into sepsis). So Peanut got prophylactic antibiotics before her surgery. This was something she tolerated well in the past but apparently the second exposure could have a reaction (which Peanut did). I am told she had very severe anaphylactic shock to the antibiotic, had a seizure and the staff feared her life. All the staff there that day teamed together in "code" fashion to give her supportive care and bring her back to. They monitored her very closely and ensured she was a-okay updating me thoroughly after this incident. It felt so good to know my previous angel was in the absolute best hands. Not only is this team highly professional and caring, I am certain they deeply care for each and every one of our babies like their own. I am so glad and thankful I found this place because it saved my Peanut's life not once... not twice... but three times now in very unfortunate freak accidents. Peanut must've been a cat in another life because so far she's had 9 lives thanks to McGrath Vet center and this team. And I promise we have a watchful eye on her, she's just got a lot of bad luck this year :( she is now thriving (prep fairy costume) we love you Peanut! We love you Dr. Dhillon, Dr. Salpi, Dr. McGrath and the whole team at McGrath vet. Thanks a million!!!

"Compassionate, professional, and affordable care"…read more I can't say enough good things about Reseda Pet Care Veterinary Center during one of the hardest moments of my life. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize my dog due to his illness, and from the very first call, they were kind, understanding, and compassionate. I had called around to multiple veterinary clinics all over the San Fernando Valley, and not only did they have the best pricing, but they were also able to accommodate me the very next day, which meant everything during such a difficult time. They treated my dog with dignity and treated me with patience and care when I needed it most. I truly felt supported and never rushed. If you are facing an incredibly painful decision and need a veterinary team that is compassionate, professional, affordable, and responsive, I highly recommend Reseda Pet Care Veterinary Center. I am so grateful for them.

After my experience on March 14th, I will never set foot in this building again. I called to make the agonizing, gut-wrenching decision to say a final goodbye to my dog. After being put on hold and then hung up on, I finally reached a staff member who was the definition of a heartless robot. While I was in the middle of a life-shattering crisis, this man treated me with a "car dealer" coldness that was frankly disgusting. He actually had the audacity to tell me I "picked a horrible day" to come in because they were "so busy on Saturdays." Let me be very clear: Nobody "picks" the day their beloved pet dies. It is a tragedy, not an "inconvenience" for your weekend schedule. To be talked to like a nuisance during my most vulnerable moment is a shameful failure of basic human decency. The fact that he only attempted to flip a switch and be "kind" once he realized I was a regular patient is even more insulting. Compassion shouldn't be a tiered service based on your database--it should be a requirement for the job. If you work in a veterinary office and can't summon a shred of empathy for a grieving owner, you are in the wrong profession. You do not get to be a rude, inconsiderate robot when people are saying goodbye. I found an amazing, truly compassionate vet elsewhere who handled this difficult time with the grace my dog deserved. I am moving all of my other pets to that practice and will never look back. If you are looking for an ounce of empathy during a crisis, stay far away from this place.

This is not my first review of our beloved Dr G, and I just recommended her to 6 more people again just these past 2 weeks. I always say to people I give her card to: "you will discover she is an Earth Angel - if she moved to a different town, I'd take my pup there... When you find a great vet, they are Gold! She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years, and has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I trusted Dr G and her small compassionate team with the euthanasia of my precious second dog, Handsome. She is truly an Angel on Earth. At her Chatsworth location, I love that she's created a lovingly cozy "home environment" for the euthanasia experience. That it so needed during that deeply emotional time, and more veterinary offices ought to follow her example. I found her many years ago when I was dissatisfied with a busy veterinary front desk in Sherman Oaks, after they had made errors in my first dog's chart. Unfortunately he passed, and I learned that finding the RIGHT professional truly makes ALL the difference. So yes, I drive from Sherman Oaks. Gratefully so :) I am thankful that my cherished pups are her patients. Her ethics, her care, her kindness, her knowledge, her integrity - she's our number 1!!!

She was available the same day and brought in a caring team afterward to respectfully and compassionately assist with our 132-pound dog. The thoughtfulness, professionalism, and empathy shown by Gemcore made an unbearable moment a little more bearable. We are deeply grateful and highly recommend them to anyone seeking a veterinary team that truly cares.

The prices were always fair-- almost cheap, honestly. Everyone we ever dealt with has been wonderful. They've tried to always accommodate my dog when we needed an unexpected last-minute appointment-- which was kind of a lot because she had a few health issues over the years. They were always so nice and loved on her even though she was a bit of a bad girl. When we had to put my dog down very unexpectedly, they tried very hard to save her. But also, they were honest about no heroics. I mean, they really could've gotten a lot of money out of me to save her, but Dr Moon was honest that it was time to let her go. Over the last nine years, they were all just so good and sweet to her. To be honest, even driving by there, I kind of want to cry even though it's been a few months. If you are a resident of Sherman Oaks and are a critical thinker, think twice about this local veterinarian. It came highly recommended by a neighbor. I had high hopes and wanted to support this female centric place, however, as a dog mom I would never recommend it due to poor communication, lack of accountability and customer service and a defensive/ hostile stance when questioned. I went back for a recheck of my dog's allergies and skin growths. Note that there are two problems I was seen for initially and the follow up was to include both. This was not the case. I had to remind Dr. Cortez to remeasure my dog's growths. Not all of the growths were measured and there were no recommendations communicated for care. She was focused on his allergies, which had not resolved. I received VERBAL directions for 4 DIFFERENT TASKS and was told she would email me. In the days that followed I called the office and asked for my summary and instructions. I' was told they would be emailed. This happened three times. Nothing was emailed. I was not informed that Dr. Cortez was sick until I was also being instructed not to come back in the email shown below. It's sad that Southpaw won't take any accountability for the excessive wait, poor communication and lacking customer service. I think customer service is a thing of the past, but it's a quality that's important to me. There was no apology or anything that even approached an apology. If you value the ability to ask questions and discuss issues about your fur baby as they arise then this is not your veterinarian either.
