I have been coming into Winnetka Animal Clinic for years and have always left happy. The entire staff is so kind and helpful and super gentle with my cats. Dr. Smollin is the best vet I've ever been to and cannot recommend him enough. I know my cats are in the best hands here. This place is way more affordable than I lot of other local vets and I'm never pushed to do more than necessary. They cared for my cat until she was 18 years old and I will continue to bring my new 8 month olds here for hopefully just as long! :)

My dog was diagnosed with kidney disease (I took him to an emergency vet clinic where they did bloodwork). Last year in January he got really sick (his kidney values had worsened) and I had to take him to the same emergency clinic because Dr. Smollin was booked. The emergency vet clinic suggested I euthanize my dog but I refused to give up so easily. The next day I took my dog back to Winnetka Animal Clinic and Dr. Smollin put miles on a medication regimen which included subcutaneous fluids daily. He gave me the best advice: "just take it one day at a time". And we did. My sweet Miles passed away on 05/10/2025. Almost 1.5 years after being diagnosed with kidney failure. I know i wouldn't have enjoyed that extra time with him if it weren't for the love the entire staff at Winnetka Animal Clinic gave him. They are so amazing. I love them all so much.

    My little guy

I left a review 6 years ago about doctor Smollin and his staff and I'm leaving another review because they are absolutely amazing. I had to put my beautiful boy down after a long battle with a heart condition.Doctor Smollin did everything to try and keep my little guy around longer, but unfortunately there was nothing we could do. Doctor Smollin was so kind and understanding and explained how the procedure to humanely euthanize my little guy would go. Once it was done they gave me time to process and spend time in the room alone with him, which I'm so grateful for. They sent me a beautiful card through the mail a few days later and you can tell that they truly care for you and your pet. If you love your pets and want a great team to give you pets the best care then I 100% recommend you go to this veterinary office. Thank you Doctor Smollin for always going above and beyond!

We just sat down in the lobby. Morning before x-ray. Cute little clinic.

Great, caring and honest vet. I've been to several other vets and many of them just don't have the nurturing bed side manner and care that the staff here has. They are often busy with emergency and ringing phones but still manage to be friendly and helpful. Working at a vet's clinic isn't an easy job some people come in upset about prices, about their pet's results and sometimes their pet is scared and acting out. I've noticed some people complain simply because they want personal coddling for free but that simply is not realistic especially in this city. This place provides good service for fair prices. I've seen them handle rude customers with matter of fact grace. Just brought my girl in for her x-ray with her comfy bed so she doesn't have to lay on anything metal table waiting to be seen. Make sure you appreciate the quality of their care because vet clinics are not always this good!

We got a puppy, now 4 months old, and today was our 1st veterinary visit. Staff was exceptional and gave plenty of options for our little man and answered all questions we had. I feel so relieved as we were both so nervous not having a vet after moving into the valley. If you are hesitant, don't be! Such a wonderful experience :)

Really disappointed here. Phone receptionist has a bad attitude and hangs up on people (multiple times). Don't bother with them.

Afterwards, we were consulted on everything that occurred and were given valuable information on what other steps we could take. I really appreciate Dr Cohen taking her time to discuss with us everything and both sides asked and answered questions. My puppy didn't need to have another booster for a year. Spent money on unnecessary procedure and I felt so guilty for putting my puppy through a shot he didn't need. On top of that, they asked me to come back in a month later for ANOTHER BOOSTER SHOT!! They are very eager to schedule your next appointments but wasn't competent to take proper care of my puppy.

"Compassionate, professional, and affordable care"…read more I can't say enough good things about Reseda Pet Care Veterinary Center during one of the hardest moments of my life. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize my dog due to his illness, and from the very first call, they were kind, understanding, and compassionate. I had called around to multiple veterinary clinics all over the San Fernando Valley, and not only did they have the best pricing, but they were also able to accommodate me the very next day, which meant everything during such a difficult time. They treated my dog with dignity and treated me with patience and care when I needed it most. I truly felt supported and never rushed. If you are facing an incredibly painful decision and need a veterinary team that is compassionate, professional, affordable, and responsive, I highly recommend Reseda Pet Care Veterinary Center. After my experience on March 14th, I will never set foot in this building again. I called to make the agonizing, gut-wrenching decision to say a final goodbye to my dog. After being put on hold and then hung up on, I finally reached a staff member who was the definition of a heartless robot. While I was in the middle of a life-shattering crisis, this man treated me with a "car dealer" coldness that was frankly disgusting. He actually had the audacity to tell me I "picked a horrible day" to come in because they were "so busy on Saturdays." Let me be very clear: Nobody "picks" the day their beloved pet dies. It is a tragedy, not an "inconvenience" for your weekend schedule. To be talked to like a nuisance during my most vulnerable moment is a shameful failure of basic human decency. The fact that he only attempted to flip a switch and be "kind" once he realized I was a regular patient is even more insulting. Compassion shouldn't be a tiered service based on your database--it should be a requirement for the job. If you work in a veterinary office and can't summon a shred of empathy for a grieving owner, you are in the wrong profession. You do not get to be a rude, inconsiderate robot when people are saying goodbye. I found an amazing, truly compassionate vet elsewhere who handled this difficult time with the grace my dog deserved. I am moving all of my other pets to that practice and will never look back. If you are looking for an ounce of empathy during a crisis, stay far away from this place.

This is not my first review of our beloved Dr G, and I just recommended her to 6 more people again just these past 2 weeks. I always say to people I give her card to: "you will discover she is an Earth Angel - if she moved to a different town, I'd take my pup there... When you find a great vet, they are Gold! She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years, and has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I trusted Dr G and her small compassionate team with the euthanasia of my precious second dog, Handsome. She is truly an Angel on Earth. At her Chatsworth location, I love that she's created a lovingly cozy "home environment" for the euthanasia experience. That it so needed during that deeply emotional time, and more veterinary offices ought to follow her example. I found her many years ago when I was dissatisfied with a busy veterinary front desk in Sherman Oaks, after they had made errors in my first dog's chart. Unfortunately he passed, and I learned that finding the RIGHT professional truly makes ALL the difference. So yes, I drive from Sherman Oaks. The foster group (HIT Living Foundation - wonderful people) took her from a high-kill shelter after she was found wandering the streets covered in fleas and ticks and with a lame left leg/paw. She had a brachial plexus avulsion (tearing of the nerves) and wasn't moving the paw, leg or shoulder at all. Any vet will tell you that this is a very hard injury to treat and almost always results in amputation of that leg. Also, in general, Snoop was just not in good physical shape. I found Lori through a recommendation and asked her to come evaluate Snoop after I had been fostering her for about two weeks. I was nervous at first as Snoop is very people scared and only lets my boyfriend and I touch her. Lori, with her wonderful assistant/shaman, Hector (I am not a particularly mystical person but Hector has some super calming influence over animals - even my cat came right up to him and into his lap so I will call him shaman!) came to my home (all covid protocols in) and coaxed Snoop out of her shell and started treating her. Snoop has been getting acupuncture, laser, chiropractic adjustments and B12 shots all from Lori. Snoop looks forward to the visits and is always excited when they come. Also, Lori has trained me quite a bit and I do simple physical therapy exercises with Snoop throughout the week and give Snoop supplements. Honestly all easy stuff that takes about 20 minutes a day. Lori checks in in us regularly and we've now been working with her for about 6 weeks. And the results...Snoop is a different dog. She just started using her shoulder again and regaining some of the feeling in her leg although she still can't walk on it. But she is now full of energy and running around and navigating on three legs quite nicely. She's healthy and filled out and a puppy again. She also can pick up her leg more so she's not dragging the paw around all the time and I don't have to wrap in the house or backyard (only for walks or when we leave). Even if she doesn't regain full use of that leg/paw again, it's been totally worth it. Snoop won't need it amputated and the use of her shoulder is so great. She's also just so healthy and happy now. However, our fingers and crossed and we are still working on getting that paw working. Thanks Lori!
