He listened to my concerns and was able to help me with a RX of antibiotics to relieve the infection and pain until I was able and willing to get my tooth pulled. He was able to do it that day but I shared with him my extreme nervousness with the procedure. He scheduled me on Monday with his colleague, Dr. Alborno, as the office was closed the rest of the holiday week. He gave me a RX to take the evening before and morning of the procedure to aid me with my nerves and extreme fear. He told me his colleague, Dr. Meshal Alborno is great at this procedure and also enjoys helping people through this procedure. I was still very nervous about the extraction as I was also getting a bone graft to aid in the future implant. His kindness and chair-side manner was very appreciated. Sunday evening I took the RX I was given to help calm my nerves to allow me a bit of rest. Monday morning I took the other dose of the RX to help me calm my nerves. I meet with Dr. Alborno as soon as I was taken back by the Dental Assistant Adam. Adam was a very calming person and explained everything he was doing to prepare for the procedure, he even offered me a blanket. I told him I was very nerves and scared and he informed the Doctor. Doctor Alborno was in the room very soon after I was taken back which was awesome because I was thinking of reasons I could back out. He introduced himself and told me that he was informed I was very nervous. He told me about his training as well as his passion for removal of teeth and patient care. He went over what was going to happen as well as what to do if I was to feel any pain. He made conversation to ensure I was comfortable, I believe asking me what my favorite food was. I asked him to be very gentle and cautious because I have a crown on one side and a dental implant on the other side of the planned extraction site. Once it was time for the injection of anesthetic, he was gentle and Adam tapped my shoulder explaining it helps keep the pain under control or trick the brain. They both were so very kind and understanding of my fear and nerves. I was about to cry but their care comforted me and helped with my fears. After ensuring the anesthetic was working the doctor went to work. It was very fast and almost painless. The injections were the only painful part and they both did it well. The best I have ever had to be honest. The extraction was quick. I was impressed it was out before I knew it. There was no excessive pressure or jarring motions. They placed the bone graft, the biological dressing and began stitching my gums up. After they took an few X rays to ensure it all was good. I am so very thankful for the care and kindness they both showed me throughout the procedure, especially because I stated I hate the dentist almost first thing when I sat in the chair. Dr. Alborno was the best doctor that I have ever had extract my teeth. I have had 6 other implants so at least 6 other teeth extracted and he was the best and again so gentle and caring. Adam was just as kind and caring. After the procedure was done they both gave me great and practical post op instructions. I couldn't be more grateful for the way I was treated in your office each time I have come. Today was the best I could ask for. Thank you again for the help

As a fellow healthcare professional, my family's experience at KC Braces + Kids has been deeply…read moredisappointing, despite the positive orthodontic results for our son's braces treatment. For nearly two years, our family has relied on this office for both orthodontic and general dental care for our three children. While we are pleased with the clinical outcomes of the orthodontic care, the consistent administrative mismanagement and customer service issues over the past 8-9 months have been exceptionally frustrating. Our concerns include: * Patient Misidentification: During a scheduled simultaneous cleaning for both daughters, only one was initially called back. After a 30-minute delay, inquiry revealed they had mistakenly called back another child with the same first name. This lapse in verifying patient identity raises significant safety concerns, especially when considering more complex procedures. * Scheduling and Service Coordination Errors: Following a combined orthodontic and dental cleaning appointment for our son, we returned home only to receive a call inquiring about his missed dental cleaning, which was supposed to have been completed during the same visit. * Difficulty with Follow-up Appointment Scheduling: We have repeatedly encountered issues securing timely follow-up orthodontic appointments. What should have been a 3-4 week interval was told to stretch to 6-7 weeks due to lack of availability. Addressing this required direct intervention from the office manager after raising concerns, highlighting a fundamental problem with scheduling capacity or management. The office manager's explanation--that patient follow-up timing shouldn't be told to patients, but rather scheduled by office staff as soon as available and that non-traditional braces doesn't effect treatment--is contradictory to the sequential nature of orthodontic care and suggests scheduling availability inappropriately influences treatment planning. Adequate scheduling blocks, particularly for case-by-case orthodontic appointments, seem necessary, and if availability is consistently limited, it points to potential staffing or space constraints, which should be addressed before accepting new patients. * Billing and Insurance Verification Issues: With only a few months remaining in our son's treatment, we discovered that our initial cost estimate was incorrect because the office failed to verify our insurance coverage as promised by the financial coordinator. They lack documentation of any such verification. Consequently, despite paying the originally quoted patient portion in full, we are now facing an additional balance. When confronted with this significant oversight, we were advised that as patients, we should have personally verified our insurance coverage rather than relying on the office's assurances and good faith estimate. In summary, while the clinical care provided by the orthodontic and dental professionals at KC Braces + Kids has been satisfactory, the consistently poor office management and administrative errors make it impossible to recommend this practice. We plan to transfer our family's care elsewhere as soon as our son's braces are removed.

I was interested in getting Invisalign treatment and visited Dr. Harman's practice as they specialized in it. The initial consultation went well. The staff seemed helpful, and I met Dr. Heidi Harman. The assistant took detailed photos and X-rays, assuring me that they would email my information, pricing, and treatment plan by the next day to help me make an informed decision. However, despite repeated texts and calls over the next FOUR months politely requesting the promised information, I encountered puzzling excuses each time. Such as "Gmail is a tricky guy" Ultimately, they ghosted me completely and refused to release my X-rays to any other office. I'm deeply disappointed and confused. I had hoped to pursue treatment with Dr. Harman, but without the promised information, I couldn't proceed. It's disheartening to think that I could have been four months into the procedure, but instead, I faced runarounds from the staff, and my time was utterly wasted.

I expect to complete my ortho treatment during the upcoming year and so far am pleased with my choice of coming to H2O.

I wanted an orthodontic viewpoint on a solution prior to the crowns and veneers flying. I chose to seek out the expertise from this group of Doctors as my son had his braces done with them & they were great. Kathy at the front desk was always pleasant too. Nancy, assistant to Dr. Beth Blackwell Nill began by asking me questions, listening and looking in my mouth. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Nill came in to meet with me. Same routine- asked questions, listened to my thoughts and examined my mouth. She discovered broken porcelain in between the two teeth and advised a more simple and cost effective solution to my problem would be to have another crown replaced rather than go down the path of orthodontia. Her passion for her work is clear and she has experience to back her expertise. She also gave me some great information about shading with respect to veneers and crowns, going to the labs and strongly encouraged me to make sure I was extremely satisfied with the work. When expressing my enormous gratitude to them for their help, they both assured me they were happy to help and even said I could call with more questions. Bottom line, I know their work is excellent as my son had his braces done here. After my consultation with Nancy & Dr. Blackwell Nill this morning, I have immense respect for their honesty, love of their work and product, and willingness to help. I cannot recommend this office more highly. Great group!

My son had a really bad toothache and our regular dentist couldn't get him in until the following week. Even after I explained the situation. I called Eastland Family Dental kind of expecting the same response, only to my surprise they told me to bring him in that evening! Even though he was squeezed in, we didn't have to wait that long. It was less than 20 minutes. The entire staff was so warm and friendly. They also put my sons mind at ease, as he tends to get nervous about dental appointments. The waiting room is nicely arranged with ample seating, with a restroom conveniently located. There's a television to pass the time, which was also helpful to my son in taking his mind off the appointment. There's also a second waiting room located past the main office for when the patient is in their appointment. To add to that is a second counter where you'll give your insurance information and make your payment in a more private manner. There's an oral surgeon in this office which is convenient if you or your child needs any sort of oral surgery. You won't have to go anywhere else. Should you have to have any procedures, they offer sedation dentistry. There's parking in the back and a second exit for patients who had to be sedated to discreetly leave without having to be paraded through the waiting room. I can not tell you how glad I am that I took my son here. If you're a parent I highly recommend this dentist. It was a pain-free experience for my son and as a parent your childrens peace of mind is worth switching dentist for. I liked this place so much that I transferred our entire family here, leaving my original dentist. They even checked on him a few days later. They're THAT good!
