I am absolutely thrilled with the services Lovestruck provided before and on my wedding day. My husband and I went the non-traditional route and had a December wedding with just our immediate family at the courthouse. I spoke with Katie at Lovestruck, described what I wanted to achieve and she was completely understanding and accommodating. She met me before the wedding to show me some of Lovestruck's work, calm my bride's nerves and reassure me that no matter what happened, or how "stiff in front of a camera" my family was, that Lovestruck would be able to get the shots I wanted. We knew the weather would not be perfect, we knew it would be cold but we thought that at least it would be dry... well, on our day it stormed like crazy! I had been told that they shoot in all weather except for heavy rainfall, and that's what I had on my big day... heavy rainfall. Our Lovestruck photographer not only provided a calming presence, but throughout the horrible weather she kept shooting, disregarding the rain and simply saying, "I hope nothing happens to my camera." I had planned an entire photo session around town since our ceremony was so short and we weren't having a reception, which made the opportunities for candid shots a little slimmer. Needless to say that whole plan went right out the window, but our photographer made some great suggestions, was open to changes in the plan and got great shots anyway! I've got some lovely portraits and a lot of beautiful candids and I am super excited about getting it all put together in the album I've ordered. I will definitely be going back to Lovestruck when it comes time for future family portraits and have already referred a colleague to them for her daughter's big day. Lovestruck Images (Katie) photographed my friend Laura's wedding in which I was a bridesmaid, so I got the 'try before you buy' deal. Needless to say the photos from Laura's wedding at the harbor in Baltimore were amazing! For this reason, I chose Katie and Lovestruck to photograph my wedding six months later. My wedding was in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, so logistically there had to be planning, which Katie was totally open to. Katie is a wonderful photographer. She is absolutely creative in her shots and really photographs from a journalistic perspective versus the constant posed shots I have seen come out of a lot of weddings. She is a master at catching those moments that are not staged and are of people just having fun! I told Katie going in that I did not want to do a lot of staged portraits and she was very accommodating of that request. I remember watching Katie the night of my wedding and she was standing there and every where with the camera in all kinds of positions, sometimes one in each hand. Even my parents mentioned they found her photographing style to be unique and they envisioned a lot of good photos would come from it. All in all, I would highly recommend Katie! Katie with Lovestruck was the first photographer we met with when planning our wedding and we immediately hit it off. We continued the search and met with 5 other photographers, before realizing how much we wanted Lovestruck at our wedding. Katie was wonderful on the day of, arriving early, requiring little from the bride, just making herself at home taking photos wherever she could. She organized the groups efficiently and effectively, minimized the time we were away doing portraits and served as pseudo wedding coordinater reminding us throughout the day of the things we needed to do (cut the cake, throw the boquet...etc) since we were kind of lost in the moments. I don't know what we would have done without her there. Then we received the photos and were blown away. Each one is beautiful. She really understood our earthy, natural feel and captured the photos in a way that looking back you get it. I hired Lovestruck Images for an engagement session and cannot say enough about how fabulous the experience was from start to finish. Katie was super flexible with the planning of the session (and let us push it by a day due to rain). Not only was she willing to do a session at 7:30 AM to beat the cherry blossom crowds but she was also happy to help wrangle our dog, a crazy yellow lab, who we wanted in our photos. She went above and beyond to get great photos... from getting muddy as she got on the ground to get the perfect shot to helping us climb a tree for another! She was fun to work with and we really enjoyed the process. To top it off, I had requested that she hand off a specific shot that we needed ASAP for our Save the Date and she posted proofs the same day as the session and edited the selected photo within an hour. AMAZING!!! Love Lovestruck Images! The first time we met Katie, we knew she had to be our photographer! She was so easy to work with and was great about customizing our package so that we got just what we wanted AND she was careful about staying within our budget. On our wedding day, Katie arrived ahead of schedule and stayed past the scheduled end time (which was very important since I am a very "type A" bride). My guests loved her as well! I received many compliments throughout the night on her easy going personality and her ability to find those unique shots.
