I'm in the process of moving back to Texas and found myself in need of a pre-paid, pre-need direct cremation, so my family could be relieved of one extra burden after my passing. After doing extensive research and talking to several cremation providers I found Lovestrong cremation center. Shannon Thomas was very helpful and patient and guided me through the process. What I had expected to be a traumatic experience turned out to be a very pleasant experience and I saved quite a bit of money compared to most of the other places I researched. She even reached out to me after the contracts were signed and done to make sure that all of my questions had been answered and all of my concerns addressed. I appreciated that very much. I also appreciated that she did not try to high pressure me into buying extra stuff that I did not want, like some of the other places did. While I can't comment on events following my death, I expect my family will be as pleased with Lovestrong as I am and will probably do a follow up review. read more

We had an appointment with Shannon when we went in to purchase a cremation policy. She was very professional and had exceptional knowledge about the whole process. Shannon took the time to explain the entire cremation process clearly and let us know what was included and not included in the policy. We wanted to view my son's body but were only able to look through a window at his body covered with a sheet ten feet away. I was told I could only view my son with a mask and protective clothing. I said OK but still wasn't allowed to view up close. We like to get a lock of hair and a farewell pat on the chest and say till we meet again. The guy in charge acted scared and made us feel very uneasy, offered us a $300 urn that seemed like they were hiding something. We had my son moved to a different crematorium where our wishes could be met. That week I had nightmares of eyes being harvested and body desecration and that was more than disturbing. I'm getting over that after 2 weeks. For us seeing my son helps with the realization he is gone. Not everyone is the same, but for us it was a nightmare. My mother passed away and I knew I wanted cremation, however I didn't realize all the differences between the services you could get. I didn't want to wait over a week to get her ashes and I wanted to ensure I received her for my closure. I found LoveStrong doing a Google search for direct cremation services. When I spoke to Danielle she was very warm and gave me all the detail I needed. I met with Clinton, he was very respectful and showed me all my options. I didn't feel pressured and he never tried to upsell me. I appreciated that I was able to see my mother, witness the beginning of the cremation and I receive her remains the same day! To me this was like going to the cemetery, I was able to get the closure I needed and was able to present her at the memorial service. Very nice people and services. I was surprised at the payment options, but mostly that they were not explained until after I had made my selection in person, not when the appointment was scheduled. To use a credit card, I would have to pay a large processing fee. When I then pulled out my checkbook instead, they said "no personal checks" and suggested I go to my bank and purchase a cashier's check or get cash. They would not even take a Zelle payment. read more
