Yet another pit stop on our road trip. This Love's definitely not as great as the last, but the store was pretty clean and plenty of gas pumps open. Bathrooms needed a bit of attention. Not the worst place if you need a quick break

This Love's is in a fantastic location right next to the Sugar Creek Casino and Event Center and across the street from the Oklahoma Casino. On the outside of the building you can see that they have plenty of fuel pumps for the amount of travelers coming in and signs on the outside showing they have Chester's Chicken, Godfather's Pizza and a Sonic, which you can enter into to eat inside or you can also go through the drive thru. We came looking for a phone booster for the truck. My son, saw all the hot food and went to get a cheeseburger on a brioche bun from a hot box. This store has tons of merchandise, just about anything you can think of. We saw toys, clothes, knives, jumbo torches, phone accessories, electronics, decorative signs, anything you need for trucks, trailers or cars, crystal decor on and on and on. Plus they have showers AND bathtubs for truckers. Everything BUT what we were searching for. So we paid for the burger and left. After pulling out, we drove around the back of the store. We passed the Sonic drive thru, and saw the huge parking lot for trucks, the massive mechanic shops for trucks and the scales. Nice to know when we are passing through on the big rig. By the way, my son liked the cheeseburger, except the bottom bun was a little hard.

The worst chicken I've even eaten. Every piece was soggy. No seasoning on the chicken or potato wedges. It was absolutely awful.

Good place to stop for a break from the snow. Warm inside and the bathrooms were clean.

Don't stop here if you need to use the restroom! The restrooms are in pitiful disrepair. They look scary.

I took it to our local Chevrolet dealership where I live (in Claremore), and they said it could cost me anywhere from $600 to $6000 to repair it.  Needless to say, I was very upset, since the vehicle had been on consignment and there was no warranty.  I then called Wheeler Chevrolet and spoke to Tim, the salesman.  I told him all of this, and he said he would take care of everything.  He sent a truck to my home (180 miles away) and brought me a loaner car, then picked up my vehicle, transported it back to Wheeler Chevrolet, and they repaired it for free. Then to top that off, I didn't even have to use the loaner car to get my car back.  They drove my repaired vehicle back to my house and then drove the loaner car back.  And if that were not enough, they even filled up my tank when they brought my truck back!  In these days and times it's unheard of for car dealerships to go to those lengths to satisfy a customer buying a used vehicle. In my opinion, Wheeler Chevrolet is the epitome of awesome customer support.  If you want to get treated properly, this is the place to do business with. The 180-mile trip to purchase a vehicle with that kind of customer support is well worth it, in my opinion.  I cannot say enough good things about Tim and Wheeler Chevrolet!

My fiancée and I recently did a cross-country trip in a van and became loyal Love Travel center…read morefans, looking for each center for diesel fill-ups, resting and buying of food and supplies. With the exception of this center, each center was very welcoming and clean. At this center, I had my first (and possibly last) experience with doing laundry at a Love's. The whole laundry experience took me about three hours, eating up a good chunk of our travel time. My experience included the following: 1. I easily found the laundry area, which included two washing machines. One had Love's blue towels in it, though hadn't been turned on yet. 2. I tried repeatedly to get a credit card to work in the remaining machine and kept failing, eventually getting a message to get service. 3. I eventually went to the person at the counter and asked for help. She came back with me and didn't know what to do. 4. I suggested unplugging and plugging the machine back in, as that had worked at another laundry center. 5. She tried that, resulting in the machine cycling through updates and processing for over 10 minutes. Eventually it showed an "E24 error." 6. She then said she would go ask the manager for help. 7. Since she never returned after 20 minutes, I went to the register and found her there. She asked, "Still doesn't work?" I said it still did not so she then asked the manager to help me. 8. The manager immediately said that the washing machines don't work with credit cards so got me $3 in quarters and that worked. (I found no signs posted on this issue. I am grateful that he didn't take my offer to pay him back.) 9. When asked if the dryers worked with cards, he said he thought so. 10. He was wrong so I went to the counter to get change. 11. The same manager then sent the same attendant to help me. She knew nothing about the machines only taking coins and the manager didn't mention that issue to her. 12. So I told her the issue might be that machines only take coins. She then helped me get another $3 in quarters. That worked. 13. She later came to unload the store towels and said sorry for the troubles. That's when I told her again about only coins work and suggested putting up signs. She gave me a blank look and didn't put up a sign while I was here for the next hour. I love Love's Travel Centers and can see that they have strict policies for greeting guests and for keeping the restrooms clean. However, they don't seem to have policies on keeping their laundry rooms in working order or posting signs on how to use the machines. They likely don't make a lot of money from the laundry room, but the convenience is a great benefit for travelers. Also, all previous Love employees have been helpful and friendly. The ones here felt uncaring. I hope the laundry room now has a sign or that the machines have been fixed.

It was built with the owner's living area above the station and has a delightful American Craftsman style architecture. The vintage gas pumps remain, and there's a nifty historical marker with more information about the building. Lucille's was officially added to the National Register of Historic Places in the late 90s. Worth a stop, and bring your camera!
