bought a used pick-up truck from Wheeler Chevrolet of Hinton Oklahoma. Four days later, the transmission started acting up. I took it to our local Chevrolet dealership where I live (in Claremore), and they said it could cost me anywhere from $600 to $6000 to repair it.  Needless to say, I was very upset, since the vehicle had been on consignment and there was no warranty.  I then called Wheeler Chevrolet and spoke to Tim, the salesman.  I told him all of this, and he said he would take care of everything.  He sent a truck to my home (180 miles away) and brought me a loaner car, then picked up my vehicle, transported it back to Wheeler Chevrolet, and they repaired it for free. Then to top that off, I didn't even have to use the loaner car to get my car back.  They drove my repaired vehicle back to my house and then drove the loaner car back.  And if that were not enough, they even filled up my tank when they brought my truck back!  In these days and times it's unheard of for car dealerships to go to those lengths to satisfy a customer buying a used vehicle. In my opinion, Wheeler Chevrolet is the epitome of awesome customer support.  If you want to get treated properly, this is the place to do business with. Barbara Sharp, R/O 6024654/1 6/4/21 I was traveling 0n I75 through heavy traffic caused by a horrific accident. Just as I was able to get off the highway I noticed my maintenance required light was on. I was so afraid I damaged the car having to drive in 1st gear so long due to bumper to bumper traffic for at least 45 miles. I prayed "oh God" please help me and as I lifted my head I saw in the distance Wheeler Chevrolet, I drove over pulled into the work area a gentleman came over. I told him my fear and he asks when was the last time I had an oil change. I told him that the last time they had put in a synthetic oil and it was to last at least 10,000 miles he checked it and it was a quart low not bad he said" but let's check. He read the sticker that had been put on the inside window from the last oil change and said that I only had a hundred miles left so I told him let's do the oil change. That's when he called Jody to help me. Jody, came out set it all up thirty minutes and a good cup of coffee and a wonderful conversation with employees and I was on my way. They could not have been more helpful I was sure I was really going to have a large maintenance bill for my gear shift in fact they could have sold me just about anything but the fact is they did not take advantage of my situation. I want to say those of you who live in Hinton, OK are very fortunate to have a trusted place to have your car repaired. I want to thank Rick Hauschildt and Jody Epperly and especially the gentleman who aided me when I arrived unfortunately I didn't get his name. First off I did not buy a car. But I must tell about my experience. My Nissan Altima transmission died traveling from Chicago to Los Angles. We ended up at the Loves gas station and saw this dealership. We decided to stop and have them check my Altima. Due to time constraints we wouldn't be back on the road with the Altima for a week+. Tommy and the team willingly gave us, my mom, 18 mo old son and myself, a ride to the Alamo car rental. We spent a few hours at the dealership trying to figure out what to do. Not only did they show the utmost sympathy and support but their kindness and generosity goes beyond words. I could not be more thankful for the people who helped us out. Amazing customer care. I went to Wheeler Chevrolet to buy an advertised Mini van. I was dealing with a salesman named Brannon. After negotiating in his office for some time a price was agreed on. I went outside then to call my bank to compare loan rates. After coming back in his price went UP $750. He gave a false impression it was a done deal. I told him to stick to his word on the original price. Salesman was rude, he let me walk out and could care less if I bought the van. It was always "there is another person going to come and look" High pressure I thought was for big city dealers. There word is no good, be Leary what they say. They could't care less if I bought it or not. They offered the lowest trade in value that was insanely low also. I had ask for the GM to call me about this whole deal. Hasn't happened yet.This was one of the worst experiences I have had in awhile and would never buy at this dealership. EVER! read more

I found a 2009 Chevy 3500 on their website. I called spoke with the sales guy by the name of Flavio and told him I was interested. The price we agreed on over the phone was $30650 ( the price I found when I looked on cars.com) I was ready to move forward. He transferred me to the finance guy by the name of Clinton. Clinton understood I was ready to move forward. I let him pull my credit to work on financing. He said he would call me back. A day passed and no call. I called the following day and he gave me a run around as to why he didn't call me back. I said I'm coming from out of state and would be willing to fly down to pick up the truck. He said he would talk with the sales manager and get back to me. Once again no phone call returned. I called back and he stated that everything looked fine and he would let me the sales manager know I wanted to come down and drive the truck back to my home state. 1 hour later I received a call from the sales guy I hadn't spoken with in more than a 2 weeks. He said sorry the truck was sold. I explained that I had planned my trip, was approved for financing and everything was already taken care of. He said sorry but they found another buyer. Here are a couple things I want to make sure everyone knows: My trip was planned. The price was agreed on. My financing was approved ( my bank). I asked do I need to make a deposit and Clinton told me not to worry about it. After all that work the following happend: The car was pulled from their website right after they told me it was sold 2 days later the car was relisted at a price of $32850 I searched around the web and you could still see it at the lower price. Their flyer add about the current specials had it listed at the lower price yet they had it listed at the higher price under the used car section 3 more days past and I now see it listed at a new price of 31825 on cars.com when I checked cars.com com a few days ago it was at the 32850 amount. A few things that I put together along the way: The sales guy didn't speak very good English and slipped and said they listed the car for the amount they paid for it. When I spoke with the finance guy during our first conversation he was trying to kill the deal from the first second I spoke with him. "You've never seen this car why would you want to buy it. You'll just bring it back" I responded that I've purchased plenty of cars of Ebay and understand the risk. I reminded him that is why it is sold in "as is condition". I can tell you that they didn't sell the car when they stated it was sold. The price changed 3 different times after they told me it was sold. I contacted GM to bring this to their attention. They contacted the dealer to find out what was going on. They told them the car was sold. GM called back a second time and got a different answer and was told they were current working with a customer on the vehicle. If I had to guess right now, that truck is still sitting on their lot for sale. The bottom line is the following. I would never have wasted my time on a vehicle except the price was right and I know it was a deal. This is a very difficult truck to find with the color mileage and year. They screwed up and would not honor the listing price. I've purchased plenty of cars and trucks over the years and this is normally a red flag for floor planning fraud (dealer financing of cars on their lot). I've filed my complaint with GM and still have the copy of the ad with the lower price. If you live by this dealership and read this post soon, stop by and see if they still have the truck. 2009 Chevy Black 3500 crew cab (diesel). It has 66k miles. I have other GM vehicles and will continue to buy them. It's just sad when you run into a bad apple during a purchasing experience. My advice is to look to another dealership. read more
