On our way back home after finishing our trip to Arizona, we made a stop at the Love's Truck Stop located at 45-761 Dillon Rd in Coachella, California. Conveniently located on I-10 at Exit 146, the truck stop was the perfect place to refuel, stretch our legs, and grab some snacks before continuing our drive. The location is super convenient, right off Interstate 10, and had everything we needed for a quick and comfortable break. We filled up the car, used the restroom, and grabbed some snacks. The restroom was easy to find, right near the entrance. The restroom was a bit messy but nothing unusual or surprising. It didn't have any strong odors. They offer showers for truckers and now also provide laundry facilities. The shop is stocked with all the usual essentials for truckers and travelers - snacks, tacos, hot dogs, and even a Carl's Jr. restaurant inside. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We had a pleasant and hassle-free stop at Love's Truck Stop.

This is the 2nd Love's Truck Store we have stopped at today on our drive from Arizona to California. Both have been consistently excellent. In particular this location had staff who were visible, friendly and professional. We were greeted upon entering and two people asked if I needed help as I was browsing. Restroom was very clean. There is a Carl's Jr. Inside.

Found myself on the side of the road out in the middle of nowhere out on the I10 Freeway past desert center late at night. I did not know at first who to call to help me with a flat tire on my 42' Freightliner Motorhome. Searches led me to Loves Truck stop, and I am glad that I made that choice. Considering it was way late in the night and the mechanic had to drive for nearly two hours... he repaired my tire and I was back on the road for under $400. The mechanic, Dominic Alvarado was so polite, curious and helpful. I will definitely use Loves again if needed.

This Loves appears to have an older infrastructure to it (dated tiling, layout, etc) but the variety, organization, and presentation of the product was spot on as always. Bathrooms were clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. Slight ding on the rating for one of the ice machines not working and the point of sale inside having trouble with Apple Pay and chipped cards. The point of sale held up a few of the customers and ultimately opted to use cash than erring on another register.

I always like the Loves gas station. This one in particular is pretty clean. But I prefer the one in Kingman Az. And also the fruit is overpriced.

Tonight there is ONE shower open to truckers who work EXTREMELY hard to get goods across the country. It's a Friday night. There are five showers here. When my husband, a trucker, brought up the fact that it was ridiculous that it was a 40 minute wait for a shower when they have 5 showers and only available, they didn't reply. They just looked at him stupidly. This is ridiculous. Get it together, Love's.

First timer here i cannot day how blessed and lucky we are to have been able to use the restroom here as well as sticking up in road snacks and gas. Let me say that the restrooms are immaculant! They had a woman in there cleaning as we were using them. Likewise for the men also I seen this other employee wiping down the doors periodically. They all were wearing masks and gloves. We found our snacks and then some. I'm giving it 5 stars due to house impeccable the staff was working to maintain a highly save environment here.

Stopped on way back to AZ for gas, snacks and bathroom break. They're allowing use of bathrooms again and it was clean. Mask required. I purchased chips, lotto, and drinks.

We made a quick pit stop here to grab snacks, and gasoline. The inside of the convenience store area was clean and well organized. The staff at check out were very friendly and got me checked out quickly and efficiently. There is even a pet relief area located on the east side of the building. It was busy with two other pet owners there, so we walked our labs into the open desert north of the main area. Very dog friendly location outside here, a great stop over spot if you are traveling I-10 west or eastbound. The only knock for me during my visit was the cleanliness of the restroom area. There was a lot of toilet paper (clean) and overflowing trash cans in the restroom. Not a big deal at a roadside truck stop, but worth noting if you want to grab that elusive fifth star. We will stop back if traveling this route again for the snacks and friendly staff.

The store is on the northeast corner of Jackson and Avenue 50. {If you don't want to have heart palpitations, come in from Calhoun Street going south and turn right on Avenue 50, and right into the lot on the corner of Jackson because the cars from the two two-lane roads hustling at that Stop Sign are enough to raise your blood pressure a lot.} We saw displays of the most beautiful produce inside the door. Plump oranges, zucchinis, broccoli, cucumbers and many other items show off their freshness and aroma. We found cucumbers, zucchini, carrots and the most fragrant strawberries ever. A bottle of Pico Pica hot sauce rounded out the purchase. Their food truck is parked on the southeast corner of their lot. @elowtitos @lgdesertstore We ordered two carne asada mulitas, a burrito, and loaded fries. Everything was delicious. The staff in the store as well as the food truck are so lovely. My husband was using a walker and everyone in the store was super helpful. It was well after the lunch rush but it was pleasantly busy. Employees were friendly and checking on patrons, serving food and tending to empty tables. We had been waiting awhile, so I carried our number in with me and made note of the numbers they were delivering... which were higher numbers than ours, but also very random. I went to the cash register and asked the employee if they called the numbers in order. She answered politely that no they didn't. I then mentioned we were sitting outside and asked if I should wait inside for my order so they wouldn't have trouble finding us. We were not in a hurry and were trying to make it easy on the hardworking employees....and bonus that it was cool inside *At that point, a man who I perceived was a manager or maybe even the owner , turned to me from behind the counter, handed me a bag and said " Here Ma'am , GO!" Then turned back around to what he was doing. What? GO? I don't know what his intent was because I'm not a mind reader, but it felt rude and dismissive. His facial expression was as though he was busy and or annoyed. I was so surprised at his response in such an otherwise pleasant environment. I'm pretty tolerant of grumpy people (you know, sometimes there's a reason) but this just felt really icky -it was our intended destination after a hot drive from Phoenix and it did not sit well with us. We won't be returning. Food =10 Customer service = so disappointing 3

I pulled up to the drive-through at CVS Pharmacy on Jackson in Indio, California, and instead of receiving my prescription, I got a heaping dose of attitude. I mean, check out the photo--I'm not saying he was auditioning for 'villain of the year' to the popular novella "Ignacio," but he surely acted the part. Mistakes happen--I get that. But this time, the mistake was on CVS, yet I was the one being treated like I committed a crime, when all I requested was my medication. The experience was so outrageous, I half-expected Ashton Kutcher to jump out and tell me I was being Punk'd. And let's talk about that sign CVS has plastered everywhere: "No threats. No abuse. No violence." I'm starting to wonder if that's just for customers, because clearly, the staff didn't get the memo. CVS, you've got to train your employees to practice what you preach! At the very least, can they be mildly pleasant, instead of acting like Halloween goblins. That said, the pharmacist was actually a gem, pleasant and professional. At least he didn't make me feel like I was living in a bad sitcom. So, kudos to him. But CVS, really -- no one should have to deal with a clerk, who's one eye-roll away from starring in his own reality show, "How to Lose A Customer in 10 Seconds."
