She went over how their process works, asked multiple questions, then pulled some dresses. We understood eachother and had great communication through the tears as they started flowing. My shopping experience back in late 2020 looking for a dress, during covid, at Lovely Bride was as amazing as I wanted it to be. I had gone to a few stores in Austin, before heading to Lovely Bride in Houston. The brands they carry are very "modern bride" and a lot of options going from boho to sophisticated, and all in a reasonable price range. The store is SO CUTE, and my experience with Tiffany was the best, we had a video chat ahead of my visit, and she listened to what I wanted and didn't want, and made the best selection for me! I had such a fun time, even during Covid, everything was perfect. Also, my dress was supposed to come in April, and I ended up receiving it super early, at the end of December, the best surprise to start 2021. Went wedding dress shopping here with my sister and it was not a good experience. They do not let you look at what is on the showroom at all. You must stay in your dressing room the entire time. Our consultant didn't listen well to our feedback on dresses and kept bringing in dresses that didn't match the brides descriptions/asks. She was rushing us out and kept saying that we had reached our 90 minute time limit when we had only been there for 75 minutes. We were on time to our appointment, we feel like she was trying to rush us out. She also never followed up with the details on our favorite dress as promised. Very disappointed. I would absolutely not recommend making an appointment here. read more

Warning: Don't come here if you are looking to be able to browse their dresses. I was extremely sad and disappointed with my experience there on 8/4. I started off excited to visit bc my sister-in-law purchased her wedding dress at Lovely a year ago, but I have come to find out that her experience was completely different than mine. To start, an employee called me on Mon to set up a time for my stylist and me to chat, so I told her Wed at 12 would work. I blocked off my calendar, had my profile already filled out & skipped my lunch, only to have no one call me. When I showed up to the apt, our stylist took us to a room where we were told that there was a "STRICT NO BROWSING policy" and was handed an ipad and told this would be how I could choose a dress...?? We were all very confused by this. Nowhere is this mentioned online or in any of my emails with them. I really wish this would have been disclosed to me prior to paying a deposit, having everyone drive in town and try to find parking (there is none, we all had to walk a few blocks in 100 deg heat). My other notes were that the robe I put on in my room was stained/dirty. I found it very unprofessional when the stylist asked me in front of my entire group what my budget was, this should have been done in private. She also never brought me to the front room to see some of the dresses in the natural light by the windows. We were in the small back room the entire time until my planner at the very end asked if I could come out. Overall I was disappointed in my experience and their lack of response to me after I sent a follow up email. Hopefully in the future they will let brides know that they are no longer able to browse dresses in-store and be better at following up with clients. read more

Diana is the SWEETEST, most attentive bridal attendant! She is so genuine and helpful. This is my third time in the store. I picked up my gown and she helped me find a veil in my price range that could work with 2 dresses - that are both very different (Cancun wedding, and Church wedding). Anyway, she understands that a bride can be indecisive and may need to see/try on options several times before making up her mind, and Diana never once made me feel rushed or inconvenient. She made me feel beautiful and she truly offered great feedback without being pushy on any type of product. In other words, she never tried to upsell you. Such a great experience! On Sunday June 26th my ladies and I met with Diana to pick out THE dress. The shop is absolutely gorgeous and we were led into a spacious dressing room (I brought 6 people with me and we were comfortable). My party was given champagne and Diana was so sweet to all of them! I'm in a wedding this coming January. The bride is extremely relaxed and allowing the bridesmaids to get their own dresses within a color palette and style range. I'm having my friend create a dress for me. He lives in New York and needed me to get some measurements. I walked in and Sarah took street care of me. I showed her the measurements I needed, asked me a few questions I didn't know, and gracefully took a phone call with George who is making the dress so she could fully understand what he wanted. The measurements she took, about 10-15, took about 5 minutes to take and was free of charge! I would highly recommend this store for the customer service alone. If you are looking for a dress in the houston area you MUST go here! I went to three different places to try on wedding dresses and this was the best experience BY FAR. A week before the appointment, they called to request a 15 min consultation to learn more about what types of dresses you were looking for, price range, style, etc. Of all the appointments I had, this was the only dress shop that did that. When we arrived, they offered champagne and once I found "the one" they offered a bottle of champagne to pop to celebrate! It was a lot of fun. It was a great experience, however it would have been better had I not felt rushed. I paid in full (all but $40) for my dress and she was so busy getting ready for the next bride that she forgot about taking a picture with the "I said yes" sign and veil options. I just felt very rushed even though I had just paid a pretty penny. The picture didn't exactly come out how I'd have liked it but what can I do now, that experience is gone. My daughter lives in California and was due to arrive for a very short visit over Thanksgiving. I made an appointment - and paid to secure it - a month ago. One week before our appointment I was informed that we could only keep it if we had a REQUIRED phone interview on a Sunday. My daughter works a 12 hour hospital shift that day. I sent a couple of pictures in hopes that would suffice and suggested that maybe she could conduct this interview via email. Sophia informed me that they didn't have any gowns we would like. My photographer recommended Lovely to me and I am SO glad she did! I found my perfect dress and I had so much fun in the process. I had an awful experience at a popular Bridal gown shop prior to visiting Lovely (cough, BHLDN, cough) and Lovely made me feel so much better about everything. Cat was such a great person to work with. She listened carefully to what I [thought] I wanted, gave me ample time to pick out some to try on, and then once I didn't love any of the ones I picked out, she gently suggested I try one that I was skeptical about and GUESS WHAT?! It was the one! I wish I could give them 5 stars but for a couple of reasons, I just can't: - When I said yes to my dress, there was no offer of bubbly. I guess I must have gone in with a bit of a misunderstanding about what bridal gown shopping would be like. But this was a disappointment to me. I always envisioned that champagne bottle 'pop' when I found my dream gown! When I went back to pick up my dress, my sister made sure we brought our own bubbly to celebrate that, so it turned out fine in the end. - The timeline they gave me for my dress to come in was 4-5 months, which was totally fine with me -- we ordered my dress a year prior to the wedding. The dress ended up taking only 3 months to come in (which, of course this is much better than it being delayed) but I was traveling overseas and I couldn't get back to the US to pick up my dress for another month and a half. I explained my circumstances and they still charged me a weekly fee for holding my gown. I understand it's their policy but if there was any other way for me to retrieve the gown on time, I would have. I was hoping for a bit more grace and understanding. With all that said, I still had such a great experience and I found my perfect dream gown so all in all, I would definitely recommend Lovely for all brides-to-be! read more

Lovely Bride was 1 of 4 stops I visited as a part of a whirlwind wedding dress shopping weekend. This was definitely the appt I was most excited about as I was in love with Anna Campbell's (AC) designs & thought for sure I was going to end up wearing an AC gown to my wedding. AC is exclusive to Lovely Bride in Houston. My group of 5 & I arrived 2 minutes late for our 1:45 appt, & were greeted by an unenthusiastic girl - Jessica. She said she was just finishing up with a bride & would be right with us pointing us to the seating area. We excitedly ogled the 5 AC gowns & admired a bridesmaid dress for my MOH. About 15 minutes passed & we were directed to a fitting room. Shockingly, Jessica was completely alone on a Saturday. She started by asking me a few questions about what I was looking for & I happily told her I was there to try on their AC gowns. Which is when she snipped back - "I know. I read your email" adding an actual eye roll. Ok. She then went on a spiel of her "process" & how she limits a 1st appt to 5 gowns (odd since no other salon limited me, much less capped me at such a low #). She then directed me to the racks & told me to flip out any dresses I was interested in so she could take them back to the room for me. I pulled a taffeta strapless sweetheart gown - the material was so different from anything I'd tried. I did later notice how crazy beat up it was - black along the neckline, stains throughout, even tears! I reached the AC rack & flipped out 4. That's when Jessica approached me asking if I had a favorite as she didn't want to pull all of them. I told her my absolute favorite (to be honest, it was my #1 contender), though I thought it might be a bit over budget - I wanted to try it on. Which is when she told me she flat out will not put me in anything over budget. I get it. But. I have worked retail - if someone is in your store, no matter what they say, they are open to a purchase. If I am telling you that I WANT to try a dress on, it's because I know that if it's THE dress, I can make it work. Did not say this, but firmly told her that I wanted to try on that dress because I need to at least know if it's the one or not. It's my only chance. I found one last dress that I flipped around for me to try upping my total to 6 dresses. We start by trying on my #1 top pick - gorgeous with beading throughout. I really liked it but I didn't feel like a bride so asked to try a veil with it. "Oh, no. You can't wear a veil with a beaded dress." What? No bride with a beaded dress wears a veil with her dress. Period. End of story. Gospel. Are you kidding me?! My entire party & I were stunned silent. She then said the veil would surely snag the dress & while veils blown up by the wind look lovely in photos, the veil & beading get ruined & it's just not done. Seeing how this appt was going, I said, "Well, that is certainly something to consider, as I have always wanted a veil for my wedding day." In reality - Jessica did not want to snag the beading on their sample, even though she was kissing a huge sale goodbye. She just kind of shrugged & we moved on through the rest of the appointment. She apathetically asked me some questions. I'm a polite person & noticed she had an engagement ring on so I asked if she was engaged. Yes. So I started asking her questions about her wedding. That is literally the most excited she was for the entirety of my appt. Even when we stopped talking to step out to show my party a dress, she resumed as soon as the curtain closed talking about her wedding. After I'd tried the torn taffeta, a dress my mom had pulled, & 3 ACs, I inquired about the 4th AC. She couldn't remember which one it was & based on her vague descriptions, I couldn't either. She told me I only had time for one more dress (a lie. She was cutting my appt time) and brought one back. Which is when my sister & bridesmaid (who are both married & have been through many wedding dress appts) commented through the curtain so she could hear about the time & how we started late. I asked to see the other. She took that one out & brought the other back. I told her I preferred the first. She let out an annoyed huff and got the 1st dress. She never brought back that 6th gown. She coolly asked me if my #1 AC was THE dress. I told her I had to think about it since the veil "issue" was something to consider. She said she'd update my file, & write it down for me. That's when her next appt showed up & she immediately showed them to their room. Jessica shorted me 15 minutes on my appt because SHE was running behind, did not bring me all the dresses I wanted to try (& had time to try), was rude to me (& my party), was most interested in talking about herself & her wedding, AND her behavior turned me off of my top choice & their salon. Truth is if I change my mind, I would never EVER set foot back in this place, let alone give this store my business. It's a shame, Cat seemed lovely during our phone conversations. read more

I can't stop gushing about Lovely Bride Houston! From start to finish, Cat made my dress shopping experience absolutely perfect! It was a total blast, 100% stress-free and WAY EASIER than what I built up in my head going into it. Houston brides, this spot is brand new but it is a MUST SEE! I made the drive down from Austin, and I'd do it again in heartbeat. As someone with a modern, minimalist aesthetic, I was worried I'd have a hard time finding a boutique that really fit my vibe. Thankfully, Lovely Bride totally gets it, and the designers they carry offer something for every type of cool, modern bride out there. But more than the inventory, it was Cat's amazing, friendly and professional demeanor that really won me over early on, before they had even officially opened their doors. Since my sisters live across the country from me, we were hoping to try on dresses while they were in town for Thanksgiving. Even though the store was in the midst of a build-out, Cat happily accommodated my family by setting up an appointment in her (beautiful) office. I recently returned with my mom and several bridesmaids, and once again Cat was a rockstar. She maintained an extremely body-positive environment and never once made me feel anything less than gorgeous, even when the sample size was a wee bit too snug. I also really appreciated the variety of samples they carry. Some were definitely too small, but my concerns about shopping as a size 12 were very quickly put at ease by their selection and, when needed, her magic with clips. Cat offered great advice, and really connected with me and my group in a way that felt like she was part of the party. Also, you could tell she's extremely knowledgeable about bridal design and fashion and absolutely loves helping women find the dress that makes them feel confident and beautiful. As a salesperson, she put my needs as a bride ahead of her own, so I knew she wasn't ever going to pressure us into a sale if we weren't ready. I really enjoyed the time she took to ask me questions before pulling dresses, and she consistently listened to my feedback and read my body language. As someone mentioned earlier, they do recommend a limit on the number of dresses you try on in an appointment, which I definitely appreciated. It can be so overwhelming, and a lot of options can be narrowed down before even pulling dresses with good communication. Fortunately, I had a pretty clear vision in mind of what I wanted, but Cat was able to pull a few fun/unexpected choices for me too. I didn't feel restricted or like my experience was in any way cut short, and I got the feeling that I could have pushed to try on more if I felt unsatisfied. If you have no idea what you want and plan to try on hundreds of different styles of dresses, maybe go to a different store first to narrow down the scope before heading to Lovely. Also just want to gush over the BEAUTIFUL store! It's designed so thoughtfully, there were concurrent appointments happening, but we felt like the store was ours. I was really excited that Houston had a LovelyBride location after stalking them on Instagram. This boutique is really sweet and quirky, and I think their dresses really reflect that. I went in to try a dress by Louvienne, which is only available at LovelyBride, and of course I loved it. They were also having a trunk show, so it was 10% off. Definitely check their website to book appointment and look for trunk shows. My appointment was a Thursday afternoon, and I had the entire boutique to myself! My consultant was Cat, who was absolutely awesome. I was very overwhelmed with wedding dress shopping, and she was able to make it a wonderful experience for me.
