I recommend leaving Denver around 5:30-6:15 within that window to ensure you get parking a short distance from the resort and lifts. Parking lot tail gates before the lifts open are encouraged. I've also rented gear from Arapahoe to teach a family member to ski and the experience was seamless. Arapahoe is one of the most affordable resorts with lift tickets for one day are about $100-$120 and even less with the ikon pass buddy discount. The lodges and meals here are also really delicious. The best thing about this location during my trip with the National Brotherhood of Snowsports…read moreSummit was Gavin Griffin. My boots were too small and Gavin spent what I felt was an incredible amount of time with me to try and make the boots workable for the duration of my trip because the shop didn't have wide boots that I needed. Gavin recommended where I may find wide boots late in the season, and the search did end up being successful. The new boots didn't feel quite right, so I went back to Gavin (my boot safety net) who hooked me up. Because of Gavin I was able to enjoy the rest of the trip. Wanted to give a a loud shout out to Gavin for representing awesome customer service and welcoming the NBS guests.

Talked to Matt to arrange this slightly unusual transaction - and he was totally cool with it. My bike was supposed to arrive one week before me, so Matt and his guys were going to have a week to build it (charging literally 40% of what it would have cost me in the SF Bay Area). Well, FedEx delayed shipping by one week, so my unbuilt bike and I arrived the same day. No problem, Matt's guys had the bike built the next morning. And the bike was great. Came in for a few more adjustments (it's a new bike) - and they were super helpful, knowledgeable, and still reasonably priced. I also really appreciated once or twice when I asked them for something, they told me it was outside their expertise, instead of making things up (those things all had to do with road bike fit). When the time came for me to head home, I was able to leave my Diverge with Matt and his guys again. I wasn't sure whether I'd get to go back to CO or not right away, and Matt was totally cool to hang on to the bike until I figured out what I'm doing. Sadly, I couldn't come back to CO right away, and missed my Diverge, so Matt had the bike packed and shipped literally within hours of me asking him to do so. Billing me, once again, 40% of what it would have cost in the Bay. So in summary - great guys, great shop, super professional, super accommodating, with fantastically reasonable prices. And they rent beautiful Yeti's and e-bikes. You should definitely check them out.
