Five stars for this small town bakery. Everything is made fresh, with love, and with excellent ingredients. Some of the faves from here: cinnamon rolls, pecan sticky rolls, cake donuts, and cupcakes. They also have great lunch specials - boxed lunches with the best chicken salad I've ever had, soup, sandwiches, and more. For breakfast, their homemade bagels and sausage rolls are delicious. Don't miss out on this place! Parking is to the right of the building or across the street.

Tomaro's Bakery, in the Glen Elk section of Clarksburg, WV, is "West Virginia's oldest…read moreand finest Italian bread bakery", specializing in pepperoni rolls, breads, and other bakery goods. They've been in the same location for over 100 years (since 1914). Local friends regularly stop at Tomaro's for pepperoni rolls after church on Sunday mornings; we were the lucky recipients of a bag full during a recent visit to Clarksburg. You might ask, what exactly is a "pepperoni roll"? A West Virginia regional specialty, it's a soft white, yeast-leavened bread roll filled with pepperoni (sticks or slices), and sometimes cheese. These were originally created by Italian-American immigrants to be a portable, non-refrigerated lunch for coal-miners in the early 20th century. Tomaro's carries on the tradition, and their pepperoni rolls have been voted the best in Harrison County annually from 2018-2025. If you can't make it to Clarksburg, they also distribute the pepperoni rolls to some groceries, such as The Local Market in Morgantown. We recommend the pepperoni rolls from Tomaro's Bakery -- they're especially tasty when warm and fresh from the oven!

However there are some things that are off about this place. Firstly whenever I order a coffee they'll give it to me in a random cup. Sometimes a mug, others a paper cup and even a glass cup. Not necessarily bad just odd. What is odd though is the employees reaction to not getting tips. They will give you nasty looks and lower quality service for not tipping on a 5 dollar coffee. I have one friend who was even made fun of. They will go as far as making fun of him for being gay when he isn't just for not tipping. I like supporting small businesses but the customer service needs work here.

I've been here several times and I actually like this Tip Top better than the Thomas one and I never thought I'd say that. The whole layout of this place is epic! The patrons are always smiling and friendly. The baristas are great and they are always provide friendly service and are great to chat with too. Thank you! Elkins has came a long way over the years and to have this wonderful establishment in its town is a plus for everyone including the college kids. Also, the PB&J bar is stupid good and their iced dirty chai lattes with almond milk are stupendous!!! Two must haves when visiting. Go enjoy it as much as I always do when I am in town.
