When my daughter asked to hold one the guy working that day (Mike) grabbed a bearded dragon and gave it to her instead. The bearded dragon just sat there with his eyes closed. She immediately fell in love and he said he had everything we needed for him and it would cost us about 300.00. He said he was 3 years old and just cleared medically for sale. He was very calm and cold and Mike said that's because he was in brumation currently and also his enclosure there wasn't warm enough for him. He gave us a tank, some sand, a log, a bowl, and a dual light with a ceramic heating bulb and mini UVB light. He said that's all we needed. I asked about food and he said just give him as many crickets as he wants every day and calcium 2x a week. We got out of there for about 400.00. As soon as we got home we started doing research an found out the tank was too small for a full grown bearded dragon, the substrate was wrong for a bearded dragon, the UVB light and heating element were also incorrect. The feeding instructions were wrong, bearded dragons need a variety of bugs weekly and fresh mixed greens daily. They didn't tell us he needed hiding spots and climbing spots. We ended up ordering the CORRECT size cage for a bearded dragon and tons of other things he needed we were either told incorrect information about or just not told entirely. Then as we continued researching, we realized that this bearded dragon was very ill. We had to rush him to an emergency reptile vet where we were told that this bearded dragon had obviously been mistreated for a very long time and poorly cared for. He was extremely malnourished, underweight, dehydrated, and they had also found a mass in his abdomen. He then recommended euthanasia or attempting to syringe feed him to see if he might come back from this. Since we were told he was 3 years old we obviously wanted to try everything we could to save him. On the way home from the vet a different employee from the store found my personal Facebook profile and then continued to inform me the bearded dragon was at the end stages of his life and that it's my fault for purchasing a clearly sick animal and trusting their employee to know the proper information and care for this animal. They admitted to knowingly selling and profiting off a sick animal that was dying. They emotionally manipulated a 7 year old little girl and her whole family just to make a quick buck and move product. They refuse to make this right. I've attempted to speak with the owner multiple times to no avail and after the incredibly unprofessional conversation with this last employee Tina I'm done trying to give chances. I will be reporting to the BBB and calling the department of Riverside animal abuse division to report the conditions these animals are being kept in and the state of the animal they sold me.

Very disappointed with our experience here. We brought both of our dogs, Brady and Casper, in for…read moregrooming. Our groomer was Xiomara Pina. We were told that Brady was barking and moving around, and his haircut came out terrible--uneven and poorly done. If Xiomara was unable to safely or properly groom him, I would have preferred that she stop and let us know rather than send him home looking like this. When they called us about the situation, I specifically told them to just bathe Casper and not cut his hair. However, I still expected him to be properly washed, dried, and brushed as part of the service. When we got him back, it did not appear that he had even been properly brushed. I understand that some dogs can bark or move during grooming, but communication and professional handling are part of the job. If they were having difficulty grooming Brady, I would have appreciated being contacted before continuing with a haircut that came out looking this bad. We paid expecting our dogs to be properly cared for and receive professional service, and unfortunately that was not our experience. Very unprofessional and extremely disappointing.

Their toucans and parrots were spectacular. Yes the store is noisy but the birds seemed very lively and happy. They had huge tortoises as well and some fun reptiles too. I went with my parents and my little girls (2 and 3 years old) and we all had a great time. The owners seemed to know their animals and I wish them well in their plans to build a larger educational children's zoo here in North County. I agree with Stephanie and definitely recommend this place.
