I am deeply grateful for my love coaching experience with Lauren. Our journey together was approximately a 4 month process. TLDNR: Do it. It works. I found this Yelp page randomly googling my issues. Despite tons of high quality therapy I was totally shut down sexually. I was kindof giving up. I wanted to be a sexual person in the world and it seemed confusing and inaccessible. I called Lauren and set up a consult and the emotional power of that meeting convinced me without doubt that she could help me. Always compassionate, always in my corner, always giving more than she had to, Lauren did some sort of magic. She hypnotised me, healed me, assigned meditations and reading. Lauren is an absolute gem of a person. I wasn't sure how I would relate to her but I felt immediately at ease and comfortable with sharing my innermost thoughts. I had two sessions with Lauren Searles, the "Love Angel" and while she did hold an impeccable space inside of our sessions and was skillful at taking me very deep and connecting with my inner child and what she really needs from me, she was SO unprofessional the way she spoke to me after we finished our second session it saddens me to say I cannot recommend anyone entrust her with the deepest and most tender parts of themselves and she cannot be trusted to hold those parts with integrity. I committed to writing her a testimonial on FB or Yelp after our second session (never committed to doing this within a certain time frame) and less than two weeks later she started pressuring me to "deliver" on the testimonial despite me repeatedly telling her I was incredibly busy (I am a licensed acupuncturist, professional ThetaHealer, ThetaHealing instructor and coach myself and was teaching classes and hosting multiple healing events during that time). I even told her two days and times I could do it and asked her to please follow up with me then but that wasn't to her liking because after 5 o'clock on a weekday or 3pm on a Friday wouldn't be high enough traffic on Facebook. When I let her know that I was beginning to feel like getting her testimonial was more important to her than I actually was, this is how she replied, "I know that your issue during coaching was following through on things you said you were going to do," diagnosing my "issue" with her 5 minutes professional experience as a coach, using something I vulnerably revealed during session, generalizing it and then throwing it in my face in a defensive way to prove she was justified in how she was approaching getting the testimonial rather than actually hearing how I was feeling. When I called her on this, this is how she replied, "When are you going to really prioritize those kinds of commitments?" AND: "So I'm confused also that you think a month is a good time frame. I think within any agreement it's good to do it within a week or two. I think that's more than enough time and it's very reasonable you know just like we pay rent every month." "I'm sorry I didn't really view you like a client because I felt like we had closed that chapter and that portal and we hadn't agreed to do any more sessions like we said we might do sessions but hadn't agreed to do more sessions. Maybe you had an expectation of me still holding that compassionate space for you but in my eyes we completed that chapter." "I don't want that vulnerability [my vulnerability in opening up to her inside of the container of a private coaching session about feeling stuck in following through on a work-related project] to be used as an excuse to not follow through so I'm just being really firm in this. You know emotionality and our emotions definitely play an impact in our lives but I guess my word and my commitments I try to adhere to as much as possible despite how I'm feeling so I'm just cheering you on in that."
