I had a fabulous experience! After spending 3 weeks in Europe and visiting other LV stores in Florence, Rome and Paris...I came here on my last day of our trip. I didn't want to carry my purchases during my train travel. I had an appointment at a different Amsterdam location but when i got to the hotel I realized this was around the corner and the other one was significantly farther. I was unable to change the appointment (same day) so i went right at opening time. I was greeted with smiles. John was my salesperson. He took me to a table in back after I oohed and ahhed along the way. we talked about what i was looking for and he disappeared to the back. I walked around a little more. John returned with a cup of coffee and some bags for me to look at. I told him what i liked and did not like about each bag . The next round of bags were even better. So much that i almost bag a 2nd bag. I was really in the market for a practical everyday bag. he brought some adorable smaller ones that I know i would use and cherish but i decided to stick to my plan and get was i was here for. John was super friendly and helpful. the store was big and inviting. I enjoyed my shopping experience John provided me with the paperwork I would need for my VAT tax refund. once i got my refund the bag turned out to be a fabulous price! Finally an opportunity to use a solid 2 star rating. Sure they have very good service, after you wait in line in the cold for 40 or more minutes, a beautiful store and friendly staff too. But unless you're a high spender with lots of Louis bags on your shoulders, you will be treated differently. They actually didn't allow me or my friend to buy a bag that was in stock and available. They said it's for their "regular" customers. The website for that bag didn't say that. read more

After having visited the Louis Vuitton at De Bijenkorf several times, I wanted to come to this one because they had the Keepall Bandoulière 45 that I wasn't supposed to get, but bought anyways LOL. We got there fairly late, but luckily we were allowed in after initially not being allowed in because it was close to closing time. Sylvia was assigned as our client advisor and she was fantastic! Extremely friendly and willing to work with us. She even stayed far past closing time to secure our purchases. By far one of the best CAs I've had at all the Louis Vuitton stores I've been to. I hate myself for getting this bag, but when I saw it in Honolulu I loved it immediately. Told myself that I would get it if it was available during my trip to Amsterdam. When the dollar is charging for LESS than the euro before even factoring in the VAT refund, you kinda have to go for it right? Only downside of coming to this store vs. De Bijenkorf is that you can't do the Global Blue tax refund on site. Honestly, that doesn't save that much time because you still have to get the customs stamp at Global Blue anyways. Definitely will come back to this Louis Vuitton store, as it is so much bigger than the De Bijenkorf one and has way more stock! Plus now I have a personal CA that I'm down to work with in the future. read more

I just spent over 8,000 Euros in this store on two bags - LV needs to get rid of everyone here and start afresh, or their brand will take a serious beating. The staff here is less knowledgeable about their products (or even what they have in store) than an Albert Heijn worker, and more rude than a Walmart worker. The first SA (name was Nicole) I worked with was so disinterested and pushy that I decided to leave and come back another time. Came back again to buy two bags, was told only one was available so purchased one. Next morning saw the one she said was unavailable was actually showing in stock at the store on their website - called them to explain, no apology offered. Took a taxi at the last minute to their store to buy the second bag, took a taxi back - no apologies, no offer to compensate for time and money lost. Rude, apathetic, crass staff with no basic knowledge. Go to the Gucci next door next time - very pleasant staff. If stuck on LV, go to Dam Square - there is a wait to get in, but the staff is fantastic. read more

It's horrible when you know what you want and have to wait forever. Maybe it's a good idea to hire more people or help customer by making appointments. Long lines and waiting time over hr. Maybe go to US or Paris. read more

Beautiful store front to begin with. Pleasant staff greeted me right away,taking my info and informing me that a SA will be with me within 10-15 minutes. I took that time to look around and admire the beauty . I was greeted by my designated SA,Carl,and was initially looking for a bag. But somehow we ended up looking at wallets,which i ended up getting. Customer service is superb,Carl was amazing,patient and gave great insight into the brand and designs. Wished he lived in the US, so he can be my SA! Lol A++++ When i come to Amsterdam again, will be sure to stop by here for another special piece. read more

the worst service ever. they said it close at 6 pm I arrived at 5:45 and they said it was closed and they didn't allow me to buy a bag.

The line was excessively long and there were three employees just standing around doing nothing while customers stood around wondering what was happening. read more
