When asking around about where to find clothes that fit my style I was told to go to H&M. I don't know how many times I've walked past this store and never thought twice about it. I think their advertising scares me off...never looks like my style. But when going in under the insistence of a friend, I found clothes for people with all kinds of styles!
There are two floors of woman's clothes, a floor for dressing rooms (apparently there is always a long line), a floor for men, and one for housewares. I think they have a nice selection of clothing for the size of the store, but the clothes don't leave a lot of room for the hoards of people who are in there. But they do what they can. I saw staff putting clothes back where they belong to keep the store looking nice, but they inevitably get moved again. So when you find the perfect jacket all along and not in your size, it's hard to figure out where it came from.
We were rushed out of the dressing room when it was nearly closing time. I guess that is to be expected, but she should have told us when my friend went in with 11 items, that she had 5 minutes to try them on. We would have done things differently. But, the man who checked us out was very friendly.
I will go back, but it's hard to want to go to a store that is so full of people all the time since it is directly on Dam Square! read more
