From accessories, to clothing, it's just a fun place to find your next look. And I say "look" specifically since it's not just an outfit. You could create an entirely new persona! You will find this unique second hand shop with a lot of clothes, shoes, purses, accessories, and new furniture. Everything a woman likes. Also a great spot to meet your girlfriends for tea and coffee. Price I would say is moderate. I am Queen of consignment shops, if you have followed my reviews. I always have a lot of unnecessary clothes, shoes and accessories that are too fabulous to give a way so easily from California. So, I drop it right off at the consignment shop for a great price. Also if you have any exceptional items that look like they are in perfect condition, then make sure to clarify the price that you would like to sell it for, but don't go in there asking a certain amount for basic brands. Just be grateful you sold it and made space in your closet for something new. What I love about this shop is that they are super professional, if you are dropping off any of your designers clothes, bags, and shoes, then you can track all of your items online here. They even transfer the funds to your account, if your not up to picking it up. They will hold your items in the shop for 3 months to sell, and send you a reminder email to pick up your items on the date that it is due. How awesome is that! I was please to hear that for every item they sell of yours that you get back half of the revenue from it. I thought that was awesome on their part, compared to some of the other business. I found a few stores in Amsterdam to be unorganized or unprofessional that I ran across when it comes to consignment stores. I rather associate with a business that has high standards, pleasant and on top of it when it comes to customer service and super friendly. Venten offers nice clothes at an affordable price, in an easy and organized fashion for pleasant shopping. The shop is very versatile in a good way. It sales new furniture, lamps, accessories, second-hand clothes for women and children. It's a great meeting spot for coffee. I was very impress how well organized the store was maintain. Make sure to check out both levels of the store. There are two levels in the shop.So you won't find any damage, messy, or unappealing piles of merchandise in the store. I've been there twice, both times finding items. One in the summer and once in September (last week). Recently I left the store with way more than I had intended....a pair of jeans that fit perfect for 15 euro, a dress (perfect for the office and also for a party with the right accessories) for about 30 euro, and a red purse for 10 euro. So, prices vary. It is not the cheapest second hand/vintage shop around, but their items are quality and the store is laid out well, so that you don't need to dig. The following morning I went back and picked up a sweater I had been eyeing, as well. As I said...too much! I was with a friend and she bought a trench coat and two tops to wear to the office. The biggest problem with this store is that it is too close to my apartment, and therefore it is too easy to shop there. They are open late on Thursdays, which is very convenient. They also have what looks like a decent selection of men's clothes and their little baby second hand winter coats are so cute!

Although you will find a slight few business here on the bottom of the tootle pole when it comes to professionalism and customer service. I would say it's so unfortunate when one bad apple can spoil the whole barrel. However, I try not to let the bad apples spoil it for the businesses that are great and excellent at customer service in Amsterdam. For example, today I ran across this business, which was very unprofessional when it came to customer service. The person in customer service was between down right rude and unfriendly. Here is a little FYI: for these type of business and people that eventually can lead to less sales. When someone is attempting to patronize your business, please attempt to show a little bit of courtesy. What comes to mind when I think of these type of business is that you don't need an MBA to know that customer service is essential. For instance this business is designated on a popular tourist street. So you would think that they would have a little bit of etiquette when it comes to customer service, but unfortunately that is strongly not the case here. Staalstraat is one of my favorite streets to shop on, so I can tell the difference between what is typical in this area when it comes to customer service. Never the less, I refuse to let one bad apple on this street ruin it for everyone around it. I still adore shopping on this street and will continue to shop, but I will have no problem neglecting bad business that are a classic example of no-nos in the area of customer service. P.S. Listening to customers is the most valuable thing a business can do. Have a great day! :)
