A five story Primark store in the heart of Amsterdam and provide an escalator or elevator for the journey up. The wife needed a few pairs of longer socks for our next country of Ireland which is colder than most of Europe right now, especially at night. They only had a small selection of the high socks and not the right size, but settled for a pair of sandals for 1.3€ - what a deal. We've been to several Primarks in the United States but the size of this one is overwhelming. FYI: this was NOT a paid attraction in Amsterdam. read more

I stumbled on this Primark while exploring the endless canals. I had no idea they have stores outside of the states. From the outside, it seems it would not be big; however, to my surprise, there are multiple levels and sectioned for any and everything you can think of. Men/Women/Children's clothing, accessories, makeup, etc. It was like a maze! Needless to say, for that reason I was inside far longer than I anticipated. One thing they have in common is the same great prices. I guess that may be a company standard worldwide, which is a good thing! Big store with lots of stuff! We were on a mission to replace our suitcase which lost 2 of its 4 wheels. We were successful! We found a black It suitcase for €55, but in line we saw a Primark black suitcase for €42 and a little smaller. We got it instead. As we walked through the store, we were amazed by everything for sale! And the prices were reasonable. This place is amazing! We went here too many times during our trip. Found almost everything that was on our list and some. Prices are ridiculously cheap, I don't know how they survive? I believe it's 5 floors of fun. There are three elevator lifts. FREE public toilets on the 4th floor, might I repeat that again, FREE toilets in Amsterdam!!!! LOL some American vs. Dutch fun. We thought you pronounce Primark like "Prim-mark" we were corrected by a local and you are supposed to say it as "Pri-mark." It is pretty much the mall of the area. Make sure that you go here. The weather changed a lot quicker than I was expecting and so I was finding myself in severe need of a warm coat for my time in Amsterdam. Primark to the rescue where I not only found a fab inexpensive coat in the right size but even with a hood and it was, get this, only €20! An insane bargain. At that price, it doesn't even matter how long it lasts because it met my immediate need. And then my friend convinced me that I would need another bag because I was apparently complaining too much that I couldn't buy any stuff because my suitcase was already full so we found a nice black bag for another €15. It looks like a large version of those black bags that doctors making house calls used to carry. The coat did great for my time in Amsterdam and my wife LOVES the bag that I bought. My one wish is not for world peace but it's for a Primark in America because I spent way to much time inside of this location stocking up on so many great deals. This Primark is whopping 6 floors and is in some ways what we'd call a discount store in America, but it's like a mix of H&M, with a little Target mixed in held on a budget. For me I was really happy to see the men's selection being so large. Like larger than any other store ever. I got swimming trunks for 5 euros, sweat shorts for 3 euros. T shirts for 10 euros. I felt like everything ended up being cheaper than listed on the tag which I'm definitely not complaining about. They had home products like luggage and beauty products as well. Honestly, I kept combing the aisles to see if there was anything else I needed. Tons of staff working so the check out lines were moving quickly. You must stop here if you're looking for some budget-friendly clothing. They always told me shopping in Europe was so expensive, but Primark is definitely breaking that rule without skimping on quality. read more

This Primark has a PRIME location and 6 floors packed with a million different products for your shopping pleasure. We actually ended up visiting this location 3 times within our 5 day trip since they had such a huge selection of items that we needed. Just steps away from Dam Square and the RLD, this Primark is very easily accessible by tram and located near a ton of snack shops in case you tire out from shopping and need some refueling. On our first visit, we came just to browse. On the second occasion, we came here with a purpose - I needed a raincoat and my cousin needed an umbrella, as well as a variety of cheap beauty products like face masks, mini hand sanitizers, etc. I scored a raincoat for 18€ and my cousin was able to get her umbrella for 3€ (very cheap compared to all of the other shops selling these nearby at 8€ or more), in addition to all her beauty products which were around 1€ each. Total steals. On our third visit, we came in with a purpose - I was looking for an extra luggage and a lock/key and my cousin went on a shopping haul for yoga wear and home products. Of course, this Primark delivered AGAIN. I was able to get a mini luggage for 20€ along with a lock/key for 3€. My cousin left with multiple bags full of yoga pants, leggings, and tops - all of which were under 7€ per piece. The home section is on the top floor and doesn't have much of a selection compared to the other departments, but my cousin was still able to grab a few cute pieces. Cool things to note - (1) you can charge your phone for free here, (2) you can use the restrooms for free (most places will charge you about a euro for this), and (3) the views from here are actually pretty sweet - the front windows overlook Bijenkorf & Beurs van Berlage. Very fancy if you ask me. They're actually open pretty late as well so you don't have to cut any time out of your day for a visit. Just visit in the evening. Being from San Diego, the only time I ever get to even see a Primark is when my husband and I go and visit the UK! I was so excited to know that there was a Primark when we got to Amsterdam because I did not pack the right clothes! Most of my things were back in London and I was freezing, thankful for this Primark because Bryan and I were able to get a couple of cardigans and winter accessories! The price point is super affordable and their quality is pretty good plus this store is pretty organized compared to others I've been to! Primark in Amsterdam reminded me of back home in the UK, where Primark is a huge brand which sells mainly budget fashion, before seeing this store I was unaware how big Primark was as a brand outside of the UK and Ireland (where 61% of its stores are based) and this branch on Damrak in Amsterdam, is actually one of 19 stores the company has in the Netherlands. The store really does scream to me, your average Primark, it has some decent and slightly modern features and the rest your slightly cluttered more budget fashion range you'd often expect from Primark. It is also quite a large store, over multiple floors. The store is also in a great location, a couple of tram stops away or even within walking distance from Central Station, which was convenient for me as I was staying there during my time in Amsterdam. A refreshing face (high-street brand) to see while I was lost in Amsterdam, in a decent location within walking distance of many parts of Amsterdam, and the fact it is also close to a tram stop is a bonus so this store is a rather nice, decent store and I'm pleased to say it deserves a solid three-star rating. read more

My dad purchased a pair of jeans from this shop aeons ago in Belgium and it's a pair of jeans that he has greatly loved. So when on the tram to Centraal, saw this shop, we hopped off and headed to -1 level, and quickly located the jeans section, since everything is laid out really well. We also found a staffer really quickly to help us out and he also directed us to the changing rooms. BTW, Look for signs for "Paskamers" on the -1 floor to try on clothes and the "Betaal Hier" to pay. One note - we shopped here and Sunday and it was massively busy. My sister mentioned this store a few months ago asking if we had anything like it in California. I told her no and that you can't find prices that low for clothing here. Fast forward a few month, I find myself walking around Amsterdam and I see a whole bunch of people with brown shopping bags with the words Primark on it. I actually passed by the store and didn't think much of it. But then I remembered that it's the same store my sister had mentioned. So the next day I dragged my two girls back to this store and found so many kids clothes and some souvenirs. What a bargain! It does get super busy even on a weekday. Love Primark! This one has such a large selection of things! Great Disney stuff, I picked up a Tinkerbell Jacket and Robe so I can be perfect as a pixie! It is very busy on weekends so be prepared to stand in line and possibly fight for products or be shoved around. You can find some great deals and really cute things that are awesome! With 5 levels and 134 dressing rooms, this new Primark is the largest in Holland. I checked it out on day two after its grand opening and found it was already thriving with throngs of shoppers. Not for the faint of heart or anyone with an aversion to crowds, but if you are willing to do a few quick maneuvers to evade elbows, you'll be rewarded with some killer deals on trendy fashions. Quality seems to be decent too! Of course only time will tell, but I have high hopes that the faux leather jacket I purchased there will stand the test of time... I'm just in Amsterdam for a week, but as I was walking around on Sunday, I kept noticing hella people walking with Primark shopping bags, thinking it was a groceries store or something. But after I had dinner, everything was closed so I thought I missed my chance to find it... Well lucky me! it was one of a few store still opened at 8 when I came across it! Its good to buy souvenirs but I believe your loved ones will be disappointed from those. I was initially very exited looking at the stuff, the collection and the prices, but shopping them was a bad experience. Firstly, I couldn't find the size I needed, later when I went for billing it was not charged what was mentioned in the poster right above the stock. The charged me more. Also, while trying to find out why were they so cheap, I realized they are not the local or branded stuff, these are from small countries like Bangladesh, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, etc. The quality was also not very good, it left linens on my inner when I wore it. This is really not what you would want to buy for your loved ones. Hope this help. I like this store a lot but I am now going to be more conscious about how much is really necessary. read more
