I had a full set of x-rays and then Dr, Inez said that I have 3 cavities and needed 2 root canals. He said this must have been going on for a long time. I have had a great dentist in the past whom I've always gone for regular check ups and cleanings. Now I've always been told I have great teeth and I take care of them well, so I was naturally quite surprised to hear that all this would cost me $3000 cash. I wanted a second opinion about the results so I asked at the front desk if I could get a copy of my digital x-rays. They told me then it would be $200 to get a copy of the x-rays since I came in on a special of $85. I am familiar with x-rays I work with them daily and definitely digital x-ray copies would only cost them $3 to copy it onto a disk. Not $200! Since the renovation probably was costing him a fortune, he must be persuaded to up the dental work needed to pay for his new clinic. I will definitely not be going to him. This was probably one of the best dental experiences, and I didn't pay a fortune ! First, I was a little nervous, when I arrived, due to the fact the waiting room and office area were a little outdated. (I had been going to a dentist in Bloomfield Hills that was very high-tech, but I was paying a fortune!)The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly and upon conversing with her, she noted that the facility was going through renovations soon- felt more at ease. The hygienist was very thorough and kept making sure that I was comfortable during that lovely probing. My dental exam from this dentist was great. She examined all the X-rays with me and gave me some suggestions, so that a very minor tooth issue would not get worse. The best... Two cone-beam X-rays -7 months apart- confirmed the suspicion that my ill-advised root canal (recommended by another dentist) was infected. Purpose of today's appointment was extraction of that root canal tooth and bone graft in preparation for ceramic implant placement. Every person in Dr. Anderson's office was professional and kind. They worked together to ensure my comfort and well-being. My extraction was completed in the most efficient and supportive manner, using best practices to ensure good healing ( my own platelets and ozone). Dr Anderson's team is remarkable as evidenced by the manner they cooperated to take care of me. I was grateful that the doctor narrated each step of the process, which helped me to feel calm. I chose oral sedation and - after the procedure was finished and my husband briefed on after care - Janet walked me out to the car. Dr. Anderson called at end of the day to check up on me. No one likes the idea of losing a tooth, but this experience could not have been better.

We tried for hours to reach the office but couldn't get through due to phone system issues. When we finally connected, Dr. Cohen questioned why my son hadn't come in earlier and said he could see him Monday. He suggested a local oral surgeon near my son's school, but that office was closed. We had to rely on urgent care and hospital staff for help. My son ended up in the hospital for 5 days. During that time, no one from the office checked on him, and when I spoke with Dr. Cohen, he mentioned phone problems and being busy moving over the weekend. He also said we should have gone to a hospital where he had privileges, which we were never told about. While complications can happen after surgery, the lack of responsiveness, professionalism, and compassion from this office was unacceptable. I cannot recommend this practice.
