I got all 4 wisdom teeth removed in one go, and it could not have gone better imo. I basically had no pain afterwards, but made sure to follow their care instructions they had provided. The consultation is the tough part, they're usually booked up, but once you get through that, they have plenty of dates for the actual surgery. The entire staff was very sweet, and got things done pretty quickly. I really appreciated two things - that they went through everything with you, and that they are very professional and do things quickly so you aren't stuck waiting too long. I really loved that during the consultation and after the surgery, they went over everything, so I wasn't worried at home. It's also super convenient that when you call, they have an extension just for pre- and post-op questions. I left a message once and they got back to me within a few hours. Cannot recommend them enough, can't explain what a relief it was to have such a phenomenal experience!

My first visit was incredible with them kindly giving me some news I wasn't happy to hear yet the way they told me was kind, heart felt, and reassuring that it's ok and I will get my smile back over time. I had a surgery done recently and they made me feel so loved. I was super nervous and they communicated with me the entire time so I knew how things were going. I called a week later to see if I could have my post op appointment sooner. They got me in same day. Not only were they accommodating, but every single hygienist I have met all remembered me, said hi and took time to check in on me. I'm so grateful to have found them and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you to the entire staff. I now look forward to going to the dentist.

First of all, I want to say that everyone staffed at CDI was very friendly, compassionate, and…read morecaring. However, I went to this Clinic to seek help with some bothersome and sharp teeth from my grinding. My original online consultation was with Dr. Goldin, who told me in a video that he saw obvious signs of the issues and sharp teeth I had complained about. After my original consultation, they realized I had a few cavities that would need to be fixed before they could resolve my issue, simple enough! I understand that some cavalries could compromise my teeth in the long run, even small ones. However, with all of these fillings, out of pocket it was nearly $3,000. A price I was happy to pay, assuming they would stand by their original statement. Then I was given to Dr. Whalen who also was very friendly. He did my fillings and I have almost no complaints about those compared to everything else. However, the CROWN I GOT IS TERRIBLY FLAWED. I know that the crown are manufactured in a lab but this thing is terrible and is totally made to the wrong shape. DO NOT GET A FILLING HERE UNLESS YOU WANT PAIN AND MISERY. I have tried to have it adjusted multiple times to no avail, and will likely have to end up getting the tooth pulled sometime soon when I can afford it, as the experience has been so terrible I'd rather have no tooth at all. However, after I had set up my appointment for my "Occlusal Adjustment" to fix my misaligned bite, when I arrive, only to be interrogated by Dr. Goldin on how he doesn't see the issues that I am clearly pointing out to why I had originally visited in the first place. Very frustrating experience and am now just as unhappy and uncomfortable if not more than before after all the work I had done and now, $3,000 more broke.

Dr. Anderson painlessly removed my tooth after which time I will have an implant placed at the appropriate time interval. In fact, the procedure was so painless, I totally forgot to use the ice pack which was provided. Dr. Anderson deserves another star. he is not great...he and his staff are excellent! So when it came time for an extraction, I went into flight mode but avoidance was just causing more pain. Luckily, Dr Anderson had such a calming demeanor, and they offered sedation, that I was okay. After a kind assistant named Kelly, held my hand (don't judge) I drifted off to sleep only to awake to a sore mouth but the infected tooth gone. Now, this is no fairy tale, it hurt after the anesthesia and numbing wore off but the experience was good and I felt like I was in good hands with Dr Anderson and staff. So much so that I went back for an implant!

Dr. Pokorny was very professional and informative about the procedure. The day of the surgery, the staff was very welcoming and professional. Dr. Pokorny came into the room and again reviewed the work that would be done. He had to draw some blood to pack the surgical site. His blood draw was better than most of the phlebotomists I have seen. Dr. Pokorny offered me the option to be under sedation, which I chose. Shortly after the blood draw, I was out. The surgery was done quickly. I went home and have had a quick recovery. Their office has prepared post-op instructions that are very detailed and informative to help with a speedy recovery. Dr. Pokorny followed up with a phone call later that evening to make sure everything was ok. He is a very reassuring and professional doctor. I highly recommend this office. I would not want to go anywhere else.

I had my initial consultation around a year ago just to see what needed to be done and how the process worked, and about 8 or 9 months later I called back to schedule my appointment and because of when I scheduled it, it hit right in the middle of coronavirus so it got pushed back for 5 additional months unfortunately. At this point they were causing me serious pain that I hadn't previously had so the wait was just getting worse day by day and they kept pushing it back. During my initial visit we went over the treatment plan, cost and everything associated with it so I should just have to schedule my appointment and be ready, but no... They require FULL payment up front on day of surgery which normally is fine BUT they require a predetermination from your insurance, they won't take your insurance and say they assume they'll pay this amount so you owe us $xx today, they need 30 days to call your insurance before your surgery to see what they will pay and then you pay your leftover payment on your day of surgery and in my initial visit they did a predetermination with my insurance but later on I found out it was only good for 30 days and they wouldn't do another one unless I came in for another exam before my surgery, so not only was my surgery pushed back 5 months they wanted me to wait another month for an exam then another month for the predetermination and probably another month for the next available appointment instead of just doing the predetermination in the beginning when I made the appointment 5 months ago they waited until a week before my surgery date to tell me this, and I had to have another exam because they said my last one was outdated and things can change in a year and while I don't doubt that, I got charged on my surgery bill for 2 exams that insurance doesn't cover and 2 x rays that insurance doesn't cover so it was just more out of pocket for me that wasn't due to my fault which is SUPER frustrating. I found Rochester OMS through other reviews and had an initial consultation with Dr. Sonpal and liked her, which is the only reason I kept dealing with this to get my surgery done. My dentist recommended I go elsewhere to get them out. My wisdom teeth were impacted and coming in side ways and my dentist said I needed them removed soon because the veins could start getting around the wisdom teeth and I could lose feeling in my jaw if I wait too long to pull them, the doctor said that was a little dramatic but accurate. My doctor was Dr. KATHRYN SONPAL and she was very nice. I spent little time with her but when she was with me she answered any questions or concerns I had and walked/talked me through the process. I'm a few days post-op now and I expected much worse, its just extremely sore with the pain medication and without the pain medication it is very uncomfortable. The surgery itself went quick and I was put under anesthetic. When I woke up I was in a lot of pain and they only had a Motrin 600 to give me which didn't really do much for me. They also gave me a free tropical smoothie coupon, or in other words a $2,500 tropical smoothie. I like the doctor and everything is healing nicely but I wouldn't recommend this practice particularly for them waiting until last minute to tell me I have to either pay the bill myself up front next week and deal with my insurance reimbursing me or wait another 30 days and pay for another x ray and exam out of pocket too. Not cool.
