I am not normally a library person - this library truely has something for everyone. We we drawn in during the halloween season for trick or treat with the librarians. We started in the kid's section - where we discovered amazing, friendly, festive staff - that were dressed to the parts and entertained the child we brought. We also were happy to find so many young reader books categorized by age and SO MANY LANGUAGES! We will be back! We then made our way upstairs to discover young reader books, non-fiction and ended at the imagination lab where they presented us with 3D printed ghost book mark holders. We explored that room more and found T-shirt presses, 3D print machines, wood burning, sewing and more. With class schedules and with open sessions. We were surprised that libraries had this technology and it was open for all. We signed up for a library card - probably my first one since high school. I will be back to try out some crafts and hopefully get into some great books!

What a beautiful library! Plenty of parking is available. The library is spacious, organized, and clean. Employees are so kind, patient, and helpful. Semra was so sweet to give us a tour of the library. Tania was also very helpful, both were so knowledgeable. Thank you! Our kids love coming here, they have a wonderful kids section. Restrooms are also spacious and clean. There are self check out computers, with easy to follow directions. You can print out a receipt at the end as well, which lists all the books you are borrowing. Book return is just as easy. You will find book drop off machines towards the entrance. We couldn't be happier with Gum Spring Library.

Great programs, helpful staff, lots of resources including a makers space. Not a huge collection of adult books.

I typed in Playground, and Yelp took me here. Just FYI, there is no playground at this library.

With the kids screaming, it is really hard for us to study. We could hear them really loud. :(

This library is beautiful!…read more The sections are well laid out and there is so much to do! There's a toddler section with a bunch of bird books and wooden activity boards next to the kids section with a plenty of seating and bright inviting colors. There is a computer section with at least 10 computers designed and loaded just for kids to use. They have a whole activity schedule for children that they release on a monthly basis that include puppet shows, story-time, arts and crafts, and even bringing your stuffed animal to sleep at the library overnight. I can't wait to bring my son here more often! Then the adult section is expansive with lots of book voices but also computer areas, private rooms, and even conference rooms that can be reserved. While walking around, I poked my head in a creation room with at least three 3-D printers that look to be free to use!! This library is extremely impressive with its modern decor, wide and open spaces, and ease of joining. You can even use your library card for audio books or to download e-books! I'm soooo glad I'm a Loudoun resident. :)

At first I was a bit worried since Googlemaps said parking was difficult around the area but…read morethere's a ramp right across the street which was nice on a rainy day. Since I was carrying my daughter it was a bit frustrating that the wave to open doors weren't working and the elevator to the second floor was being repaired but there were ample bathrooms and even an infant care/nursing room. The baby storytime was fun and I appreciated the casual open playtime afterwards especially since I got there a little late. Overall the librarian and other participants were friendly and respectful. Looking forward to attending more library events with my little one!

This library absolutely hits!…read more Granted, I've never made it past the children's book section but that only means there is so much for me to explore. This library is a grand two levels and is open on Sundays which makes this a great way to spend a rainy day weekend. The librarians are SO friendly and their selection of new children's books and graphic novels is vast. My family and I are avid bookstore goers and library visitors but for some reason we always find new things to read here. They have several study rooms and conference rooms available. We had a Girl Scout meeting that involved a bunch of printing and research needs -- their online reservation system made it so easy to book. It's prime Fairfax City location makes this a great place to run a bunch of errands at once. I recommend grabbing a book and reading at the Layered cafe next door for the ultimate cozy day treat.

It's clean and bright, and has great community events! My favorite section has to be the area where the books are themed. There's been spooky themed books for Halloween and now Fall in Love Blind Date with a book. It's in the young adult section near the high top tables. There's also a lot of seating downstairs and upstairs. I also adore all the plants they have on display. It's giving cozy vibes all around for all types of patrons.
