Everything you need for landscaping and gardening! Top soil (sifted), leaf compost (no manure), straw, fill dirt, and any mixed combo however you want it. Best of all - stones and boulders. Any size, just about any color, any thickness from wall to facade. Fence posts of numerous kinds can also be found here. Extremely friendly staff from the owners, the ladies at the counter, and the delivery man. Here's where they lose one star - in my opinion their delivery fee is too expensive for the stones. A dump truck of soil is $50 while one pallet of stones is $75. Yes, they have to use their cool machine to unload the stones, but I still think $75 is too much for 20 minutes away. Good side - its the same fee whether you buy one pallet or the whole truck full. That's cool! Go for the stones! One last note - I had top soil/compost mix delivered three weeks and still no weeds. I've had it brought in from nurseries that sprouted weeds in less than one week. I'm all about this place. Now I just have to save my pennies for the next pallet of stones.

I can often find horse items I need at Loudoun Milling that I can't find at local tack stores.

Last year, my Aunt bought some of the biggest, most gorgeous hanging baskets I'd ever seen and she…read moresaid they were only $20. She said she got them from Ellmore's, but by the time I got there (about a week later) they were all gone. This year I promised myself I wouldn't miss out on them so I went there about 3 pm on the first day they were opened for the season. Well, I'm soooooo glad I did because they only had about 10 left, and I needed 4! I got 2 geraniums $(28/each) and 2 Boston ferns ($25/each), and they are huge and beautiful! They didn't have much variety of other plants for planting in the ground...Marigolds, geraniums, petunias, herbs, a few tomato plants and 3 meadow sage (of which I bought 2)...so that was a little disappointing, but all the plants they did have looked very healthy and hearty. I'll come back in a few weeks to check out what else they've got.

Fantastic little nursery in Hamilton. We've bought our ferns, heirloom tomato plants, and herbs…read morefrom this nursery for the past five or six years. The quality is excellent. Equal to Stadler's, better than Abernathy & Spencer, all at much more reasonable prices. There's even perennials and annuals for your gardening pleasure. If I owned a plant nursery, I'd like to think I would run it the way these folks do this one. Focusing on quality over quantity, friendly service, all in a laid back, backyard kind of feel. Nothing's been over-fertilized to force it to bloom early (a trick used by a lot of nurseries to get you to buy the "pretty flowering plants"). This only results in disappointment when you realize your new plant has spent all of its energy producing flowers and none developing roots. Hint: don't be fooled by that trick. Buy from a reputable nursery, such as Ellmore's, and have better, healthier plants. It's a hidden gem just a bit down the little road beside Lowry's Crab Shack. Make sure you shop here first for your ferns, herbs, vegetable plants, perennials, etc. you won't be disappointed.

Jason met with us several times to gather information and to discuss his ideas on what would work with our architecture while keeping our wants/needs in mind. The design was beautiful and Jason priced out different phases for us so that we could asses where we would like to start. Phase 1 started with a stone patio with steps, a drainage system to resolve a septic drainage issue in our yard, and to plant 18 screening trees. Wildwood was very responsive and professional throughout the entire process. Jonathan, our Wildwood site manager, provided updates on when the crew would arrive, any changes to plans due to weather, and to answer all of our concerns or questions along the way. Two of the trees we noticed started to brown several weeks after planting. We contacted Jonathan and within a few days he came out to asses and treat them. We very much appreciate the care and follow up even after the work was complete. Jason has a talent and a vision and truly cares about the quality of his work - he asked us several times how we felt about the process and if there is anything he could do to improve moving forward. I am surprised at the other comments, we have enjoyed working with Jason and his staff and will continue to refer him to our friends and neighbors.
