We highly recommend Tim Wolfswinkel's company, Des Moines Area Roofing! We had a hail storm that…read moretotaled the roofs of our house, attached garage and smaller garage.. He was the ONLY one willing to work with our insurance company! Every other company was telling us they would put a ridge vent on top. Tim said, no, the pitch wasn't steep enough for that type of vent and instead installed 13 vents along the back. He said we would have ended up with more problems with a ridge vent along the top, collecting rain and snow. His crew came, did the job professionally, quickly and cleaned up really well! They went around with a magnet pickup device (2 in all) to make sure they got everything. And when the dump trailer was picked up the driver went around AGAIN to make sure everything was clean! Tim Wolfswinkel, Jan Bice and and the rest of the employees have been super great and we can't thank them all enough! They made it so easy to get it done and worked with our insurance company, pointing out what had been missed! We were dreading the whole fiasco but they made it easy! And the roofs look great! Thank you, Des Moines Area Roofing

Vanguard owner Gabriel Moore was prompt to meet with us and quickly provided a bid. As we got closer to the project the weather didn't cooperate. Rain, rain and more rain. Gabe did a great job communicating schedule changes. Once the work got underway it went quickly. And the quality of their craftsmanship was outstanding. The siding is fantastic. The attention to detail superb. Seams were overlapped so not to be visible from the street. Joints were staggered so not to catch the eye. The metal trim was perfect and we love our new carport. My wife and are extremely pleased with the end result and we will certainly want Vanguard Exteriors for our next project.

They showed up and instead of knocking on our door they sat in the street honking the horn for a few minutes. We told them to leave. Won't be using them. Note: According to Myra, the white van with red "NICK'S PAINTING" and white paint brush logo to the left of the writing and then a red fill-in portion behind the passenger side door with their exact phone number painted in white is in fact: AN IMPOSTER! Myra, you should have the police look into this imposter van driving around being rude to customers! Note: Myra recanted their comment and confirmed that, yes, these employees that were rude and disrespectful were in fact employed by them. Seems like they should keep better track of their vans and employees and interactions. Would highly recommend not using this company as they are extremely disorganized and don't know where their cars are, let alone what their cars look like.
