Found they moved to the boardwalk, but same great dogs. Brian Griffin with cheddar and bacon is A+ and excellent service as always.

This was the most amazing resturant I've ever been to. The staff was super nice, the food came out fast and was phenomenal. The hot dogs were not too cooked, and very fresh. Staff was very inviting and kind, not pushy at all. The set up in the shop was clean, organized, and cute. They clean up after every guest, and there are barely any crumbs left on the tables. The decorations (pictures, tv, old hotdog stand) were such a nice touch to the vibe of the store. I especially loved the walking taco, the pico de gallo was such an amazing addition and added a nice crunch. As for the drinks, the ice was super crunchy, and didn't get in the way of your drink. My son was hungry and wanted a hot dog so I did a quick search on Yelp and came across LouDogs. We walked over and grabbed 3 hot dogs. It's basically a hot dog cart inside a store front. The hot dogs are boiled so your food comes out really quick after ordering as they throw the hot dog in a bun and add your toppings. They do have a variety of toppings including some unusual ones like Mac-and-cheese. My son just went with the basic dog with ketchup while I had the British bulldog, which was basically a chili cheese dog. Hot dogs were fine. They offer a few canned sodas and water for drinks plus some chips, but that's about it. They have some counter seating inside plus a few tables outside. A good place to grab a quick bite if you are craving a hot dog. read more

We spent Labor Day in SIC and LouDogs was our go-to lunch spot. Had some classics (LouDog, British Bulldog) and then branched out into the Hank dog and the Promenade. Down in my favorite shore spot of Strathmere for the weekend and in need of a quick lunch snack, I suggested we shoot down to neighboring Sea Isle for a LouDog. That's always a great choice. This Sea Isle tradition has been operating since 1982 and offers all sorts of variations on the standard hot dog. To be sure, I don't find the hot dog itself to be exceptional but I love all the topping possibilities ... and of course eating a hot dog in the salt air of the seashore is kinda like eating a hot dog at the ball park. They might not be the best hot dogs I have ever eaten but they sure (or should I say shore) taste good! See my pics for two of the dogs - the original LouDog and the Lassie. And don't forget to enjoy a LouDog when you're down the shore for some surfing or swimming. But you'll have to hurry this year. They close for the season after Labor Day. Great place for a quick lunch in Sea Isle. I have only been going to Sea Isle for a few years and just found out about this place for the 2017 Season. They were featured on a Facebook Live Stream for a local news channel to get their name out. I figured I would have them a shot since I consider myself a hotdog expert. I love the multiple different selections of dogs that they have first off. I love the Promenade Dog. It is currently my favorite until I have had each one on their Menu. My favorite item on the menu by far though is the walking taco. It is a crushed up Fritos bag with fritos and taco ingredients mixed together. It is quick simple and delicious. I also liked the concept. LouDogs was a hotdog stand that was founded by a man named Lou and is now run by his son. Lou would sell dogs on the beach every summer since the '80s. I like how they kept the original hotdog stand and still use it to make their dogs today. Service is fast as the dogs are kept in hot water all day long and it only takes a minute or so for your order to be made. It is a great quick place to stop if you are heading to the beach or looking for a quick meal. read more

I have been coming to Sea Isle City since 2002 and had the pleasure of staying on 74th and being able to walk over to 75th for a Lou Dog! All I have to say is "Great Buns!" Now that they have moved off the beach and down to town the dogs are still outstanding and it is a fun little shop to go in. 74th street will never be the same without Lou Dogs but at least we can still grab one when we come to SIC. I came to Sea Isle as a teen and in my twenties and we always drove to where Lou was with his cart. Now that I am older with my own kids, we make the drive from Avalon to get these awesome hot dogs. Im thrilled that this year we will be renting in Sea Isle and will be able to walk here. Its the bun, they are so awesome. But of course the hot dogs are great too. I'm just a Delco guy in Sea Isle looking for a great lunch and I found it being served by the owner who is from Delco himself. In Delco when we think of hot dogs we think of the Last Stand which I find to be over priced and over rated. But not Lou Dogs!!! Lou Dogs has a great quality hot dog with a large selection of ingredients to choose from but what made the dogs for me was their roll. You know, I saw a menu for LouDogs at the condo I was staying at, and was excited to try one of these dogs after seeing what they had on the menu. Unfortunately, I was unimpressed to say the least. I got the Mac & Cheese Dog. I know what you're thinking, why would anyone order mac & cheese on a hot dog? I figure I like hot dogs and I like mac & cheese. A great place to grab a hot dog! I've been coming to Sea Isle my whole life, but never knew about this little gem until they moved to 34th and Pleasure. All I have to say is...WOW!! With their homemade warm rolls and delicious homemade toppings, they turn a simple hotdog into an extraordinary cuisine! The friendly owner is the son of the original founder, and it's been family run since "the summer of '72". Though the hotdogs are three dollars each, it is well worth it!
