I was desperate to get some alleviation on persistent back pain I had been dealing with for the last few weeks. I had never gone to a "strip mall parlor" so I was a bit leary at first, but my back was really bothering me so I caved and came to this location. I was surprised at how spacious it was on the inside and everything looked very clean. The lady at the front was nice and she quickly got me settled into a large room that had two beds in it. I had told the lady at the front that I wanted to do a 90 minute massage, but I did not really specify what type of massage or anything like that. The room was very dim, and the bed was cozy. There was soft Zen music playing, which was a lovely touch. The room also had two sitting chairs as well as hooks to hang your clothes on. I have had many massages in my lifetime , but this one was BY FAR the best. I don't know what king of massage it was, but definitely felt like some sort deep tissue because she really got in there. Many times she was kneeling on the bed itself to get deep into muscles that I didn't even know I had. It was like she had a roadmap to every bone and muscle and ligament in my body -- and she found every knot that needed to be untangled. By the end, I was exhausted and felt like all my muscles were stretched and smoothed out, and it was absolutely euphoric. I've spent the rest of the afternoon drinking plenty of water and resting my body because I can tell that I will have some expected muscle soreness over the next day or two. I will absolutely come back here again, and also going to convince my husband to come as well. Highly recommend this place if you want to get knots worked out and old muscles revived. Knowing that I didn't want to go to a normal spa for a simple relaxation massage, I found Monica's Massage online and thought I'd give it a shot. I booked a 90 minute massage, assuming that the length would help. I told her my issues and headache problems and she told me that I should do a deep tissue massage and she went to work on me. The massage was deep, intense, and loosened me up amazingly. I had NO idea that I had knots in places on my upper back and shoulders. She told me that 90 minutes would be too long for this type of massage and we only did 50 minutes. It was *perfect.* The night of the massage I felt better than I had in weeks and was able to sleep through the night without waking with head pain. I plan to return to loosen up the rest of the knots and keep me in tip top shape. (Update October 2014) I have been headache free for months, and cannot recommend Monica's massage highly enough.
