The person at the "desk" barely lifted her head up (her name starts with S) when we said, "could we ask you a couple of questions?". She rudely replied "uh-huh" with no facial expressions--only annoyance. She seemed to be bother by the fact that we came in during the store hour, disturbing her somehow. When we needed to write down the price and obviously didn't have a paper or a pen with us, she simply ignored us and watched us look for a pen on the counter where she was sitting. Never offering any help. Seriously? How low can you go with your customer service? How rude can you get? What did we do to you?? If you do not wish to work there, please find other work that is more suited for you. We didn't do anything to cause you to be so rude and unhelpful. I'm sure there are other people that would love to have the job you have, and actually get off the chair and would attend to the customers with genuine smiles on their faces. We will never go back!!! No thank you!

They wanted him to leave so I told him to go and he did. Then I picked out $350 worth of books and paid for them with my Bank of America card. I left the books there Bc the owner was too busy to call down the street for my ride. After I left she called the cops and decided my purchases must have been fraudulent. The cops called me and I explained my side of things. Apparently I'm no longer welcome there despite the fact I did nothing wrong. 1. I still want to buy the books (they refunded my account.) 2. I want to attend a book signing on the 8th. It's a good store with an amazing selection. Apparently the owner just desperately needs a refill for her can of act right. She CAN make things right by selling me the books. An apology would be nice as well but not required. I pulled off quick onto CR-120 did a coffee shop search and lo and behold I was pretty much parked in front of Herks Werks. Walked in, told the proprietor Derek (sp) my happenstance and he was lovely and receptive, poured me an AWESOME Cold Brew and I was on my way.
