I went online and found link that showed the assembled rockers from the website. He booked me as the last job of the day on Friday. Said he would be here between 4 and 6. At 5 ish I called. He didn't remember my name until I said "...the one with the rockers." After telling me how he still had 2 hrs finishing up the job he was in the middle of at the end of the day since 2 people didn't show up for work. (I said a call would have been nice giving me a heads up to the situation.) I think it's really unfortunate that I chose him without answering the second business that responded later the following day. Life is a learning experience. I won't assume that the first response is the best business to book an appointment with. Lesson learned. My day was wasted anticipating rockers for my front porch. Sadly, the other business lost out as well.

Joel has been big disappointment. Hired him to replace the fascia on barn we were remodeling. A…read morerelatively simple job for a "master carpenter". The result was anything but acceptable. When we asked him if there was anything we could do about it, Joel simply said it was the best he could do. It looked like he simply slapped the Hardie trim up there with out even trying to make sure it was true. Even our painting contractor commented on how poor a job it was. So, we had to hire someone else to fix it. To make matters worse, he charged us an exorbitant price (2.5 times the going rate) to do what turned out to be a piss-poor job! We're both senior citizens with little knowledge regarding the construction trade, so we mistakenly relied on Joel to be both honest and fair. He was neither. If he'll rip us off, then he'll rip you off too! Never again will he get the chance with us!!

Work The work is amazing. My bath has been transformed into the hotel spa I wanted in my home. Everything was removed from a basic build to a high end look. My tile work looks beautiful and the meticulous attention to detail has exceeded my expectations. I now need to remodel my secondary bath to match the primary and JA&M will be getting a call from me. I have lots of projects in mind and I hope they are willing to do them all. The company is the real deal and will not take advantage of you.

He used the wrong product and it didn't remove the hard water stains. To make matters worse he decided to caulk around our glass without asking us. There was already a thin layer of clear caulking between the glass and tile. He used way too much caulking and did it with his fingers instead of taping to remove excess. It looked horrible and my husband spent hours trying to remove it. A mess! Boy was I wrong! Horrible service, higher prices, and awful finish work. Never showed up on time, or just showed up without calling and expected to get in. Talked me into putting travertine in the bathrooms, and had to replace all of it due to cracking and chipping. Showed up at my house with the wrong granite, {not the one I picked out) then argued with me that I had picked it out. This is after they had already torn everything else out in every bathroom. Ended up with a low grade generic granite you would see in any Home Depot. The worst part is Cecila. What an awful woman! She lied to me throughout the whole process, and was unbearable to deal with. Highly recommend EMC Remodeling!…read more We had wasps find a hole in our siding and make a nest. We had to rip out some of our soffit to get them out, and in doing so left a big hole that squirrels and possum started getting into. So we wanted to fix that, as well as go around the entire house and caulk up any other little holes to prevent wasps from doing it again in the future, along with keeping other bugs out. I reached out to 10+ companies/contractors and quite a few wouldn't do it because it was too small of a project. Then only 2 of 5 of them came out the day they said they would. Of those two, only EMC understood exactly what I was asking for and even found a piece of rotting wood under a window that needed to be replaced (the other company said our siding looked great and didn't need any other repairs ). And when the quotes came in EMC was significantly less expensive despite doing more work, since the other company was only repairing the soffit while EMC repaired that, caulked areas all along the house that needed caulking, and replaced that piece of wood. After I paid the bill, they got me in their schedule quickly and kept me updated on any changes as the weather caused some delays. Once here, they got everything fixed in less than a day, painted and cleaned up, and gave reccs on what else needs updating soon. Overall they were extremely knowledgeable, did great work, easy to communicate with, and reasonably priced. Will definitely come back to them if we need help on our next project.
