Love Lost Dog! Have been here quite a few times over the past several years and have always had a good experience! The staff are always very welcoming and fun, bartenders know how to serve up a good drink and it's a great place to catch a game. Can't ask for much better than that! There are definitely better places to go in Atlanta. Bouncers are very rude and think they can act however they want,even to the point they knock your cell phone out of people's hand .Definitely wouldnt recommended this place to my worst enemy. read more

hands down the worst experience i've ever had at a bar. got shoved by security multiple times while waiting in line to get in, and after handing the bouncer $20 in cash for cover he screamed at me and put his hands on me saying that i "didn't pay" and that i should "stop fucking lying to his face". ended up having to pay $40 to get in. a bartender told my friend "you shouldn't have waited for so long just for a fucking water" when she was getting water for a girl who was blacking out. also, 2 girls bathroom stalls for the entire bar??? everybody was so incredibly rude and unprofessional literally how is this bar still open. read more

The crowd was fine but the bouncers/security were really weird. They harassed my sister outside of the bar and mind you before that when I went to help my sister find the woman's restroom the security threatened to throw me out. I understand working security can be difficult but I hope they could be more empathetic instead of creepy weirdos having power trips. read more

The bartenders and staff were friendly and welcoming but this place just wasn't my vibe. The dj was all over the place so I'd recommend bringing your own vibes. To enter the outdoor area you're required to buy a drink for a wrist band which was new to me. The "downstairs" area was very crowded and hit but they have two big fans that help cool things down. Came here for a few drinks on a date. It was a nice chill bar. Theres a huge back patio which you would never know is there just judging by the front. The drinks are affordable and they have some nice bar snacks in case you need something to soak up the alcohol. We watched the braves game and there are plenty of Tvs for that. read more

Came here with a group of friends for a bar crawl. We stayed for less than 10 minutes and are thankful we didn't spend a cent at this establishment. Firstly, the bars were swamped with HUNDREDS of people each. It was impossible to get a drink. Since a drink purchase is what allowed people to the back area, the front/indoors were SO cramped and unpleasant -- no one could get a drink and get out! Additionally, bouncers are rude and arbitrarily enforce covers. A friend of mine, wearing clothes no different than the rest of our group, was told they were violating the "dress code." When asked why their outfit was a problem but all the rest of ours were fine, we were told Lost Dog "has a business to uphold." What other business than selling drinks to willing customers do they have!? The bouncer said "If so many of you are interested in bringing them in, you have plenty of people to split the $20 cover for them with." I noticed this tactic with basically charging a cover for one random person per friend group, hoping the friend group would cave and give the bouncer cash to pocket. I'm a regular and this place is always serving affordable, yummy drinks! They have live music nights, and even doggie party nights! There's an outdoor bar/patio for warmer days, which was beautiful during the summer months. I look forward to visiting again soon :) read more

I am a young woman. I was left outside by the porta potties and before I exited I was not told that I could not reenter. As a young woman I did not feel comfortable reentering by myself and they felt no mercy. I was crying and they didn't feel bad. Officers should inform people of this before they go to porto potty area. read more

Not a bad place to grab a drink or two. The back deck area was pretty sweet. They have shuffleboard which is a plus if you like that. On the down side, I hope you like standing because there is not really anywhere to sit; I guess that is why this place is called the lost dog because you just roam around. read more

On the ABT for Cinco de Mayo Madi made the night. Absolutely the best. She is located in the rear bar and making magic happen. Larger than most location in the Buckhead bar scene and she gave us the much needed juice to continue the remainder of our bar crawl. Good music and good drinks. Prices were really discounted due to the bar crawl but otherwise this was totally worth it. Lost Dog for the Win. read more

One of the best bars for young people I went to when visiting Atlanta last week. We showed up pretty early in the night, so my buddies and I talked to one of the bartenders at the main bar. She was so nice, friendly and, cool. An overall great person to have working at your establishment (were from the northeast so this is refreshing!!). She set the tone for a great night. They have a great outdoor patio with some table drinking games and dart boards. Plenty of bartenders and bars all around the establishment which never made it hard to get a drink. Just a really great vibe all around. So good that we went back twice in two nights! Be sure to get there before 11PM because the line to get in is very long. Whoever the bartender was (we don't know her name), but shoutout to her because she made our weekend trip. Check out this spot for an electric, fun time in Buckhead on a weekend. read more

After driving an hour one way to get to this bar in buckhead that all my friends talk about I realized their women's bathroom was broke. They only have 2 stalls & only one worked. Since this happened the employees were telling the women to use the men's bathroom too which only had 1 stall as well. Will not be coming back to this bar. The crowd was very young, most people seemed to be underage. The bartender that took my order was highly intoxicated to the point where I told him what I wanted, he made something completely different twice. I then informed him I had ordered a vodka sprite. I gave him a $20 and He gave me back $6. I told him I did not think I got the right change and asked if the drink was $14 and he just stared at me eyes glazed over. No alcohol till Easter means I'm usually the DD or at least, I get to be sober and watch the poor slobs around me. Came out on a weekend with the fellas, after having dinner with my girls. This was the last stop of the night and it was.. interesting. There was a live band playing at the front of the house, with a couple of bars in-between, and then a totally different atmosphere with different music playing in the back in the covered, heated patio. There's a unisex bathroom where I kept seeing 3-4 people entering at one time (note that there is only one toilet inside) but there's a separate men's and women's bathroom just beyond that. Poor, drunken souls couldn't seem to grasp that idea, so there was a long line for the unisex bathroom, while the separate bathrooms were generally free. Drink prices weren't bad. Mixed drinks ran for about $5 and a little less for bottled beer. It ended up POURING down rain by the time we were ready to leave. Again.. poor, drunken souls.. many face planted into the many potholes right outside the bar. read more

Lost Dog is just another Buckhead dive bar. There are about 8 in the immediate vicinity. It does seem considerably less douche-y than some of the surrounding bars though. It's pretty quiet unless you are here Friday or Saturday night. The main bar stretches about half the length of the building, so you can usually grab a drink without too much trouble. The draft and bottled selection are pretty good. It's weird getting a Guinness in a clear plastic cup, but I suppose it's still better than getting a Bud Light in one. Prices are alright and hold the presses folks: the bartenders are actually nice here. A few of them came from Athens, and this place has always reminded me of an Athens bar with a slightly older crowd. There's a good porch with a separate bar in the back. They have it closed in during the winter months and it's a lot better in the summer. Music isn't usually too loud, but you can definitely hear them banging it out at Hangovers next door. This place is massive. I arrived in town around midnight and headed to Lost Dog Tavern to meet some friends. Take note that it is easiest to grab a beer at the bar closest to the front entrance. Each bar as you progress toward the back (where IT is at) is a little more crowded until you head downstairs to the patio and the crowd is huge. The band this night was great, playing lots of crowd favorites. The drinks are inexpensive (at lease compared to the Chicago taverns I am used to). There is a hot dog cart out front. read more

I specifically paid for one thing with my card and left a cash tip. I look and the bartender charged my card for the tip. Excellent coffee, which is hard to find! Good prices for delicious, filling food. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. I'd def recommend for breakfast in folly beach. I've been here a few times, they've made some good changes over the years. It used to stink out on the back patio/backyard area but it's since been improved. I was there recently for the corn hole tournament and it didn't smell at all out there! GREAT drink prices. The bartenders are knowledgeable and know how to make most shots and a good variety of mixed drinks including major cocktails including; Moscow Mule (they have copper mugs), Old Fashioned, Manhattan, etc... I used to think this place was more of a dive bar but it is on its way up! Definitely will be coming back for some more corn hole. read more

I would give this place a ZERO because last night i was well dressed with black pants shoes and a button up shirt and the door man denied me from entering because i have earring on, i told him i will take it off but he said no i just cant go in. Ive had this earring since 2005 and i have been to that place before with no problem, as a black man i can't help but think that was the most racist shit I've ever experience in my life. My phone got stolen out of my bag when I was here 2 weekends ago. Management said they were unable to do anything about it. It turns out that 2-3 other phones had been stolen that night as well. A few weeks later, I saw on Facebook that an old co-worker had her phone swiped over the weekend so naturally I shot her a text to find out details. Low and behold -- it was stolen at LOST DOG! Clearly, someone is posting up in this piece and on seriously the hunt. Not to mention the bar is overpacked with bodies and service is very slow. Came with a friend who's been here a couple times. Very fun atmosphere. Good drinks. Good music. Good looking people. We had a really great time! Really cool bar, they have three areas to hang out and have about two/three different crowds of people. There's the front of the bar, you'll see the older crowd here. Then you have the back of the bar which is young business crowd and then there's the backyard that has more of the college crowd.
