I was nervous to go in and embarrass myself for lack of knowledge. Everyone was very helpful and kind to me. I will definitely be returning here again.

Review Highlights - Lost Car Chef Apparel

About half of the time (in our industry), I have been in a time crunch on when I needed my jacket and Lost Car has come through every time with a smile on their face.

Vicki Marsha Uniforms is where I purchase my grandchild's school uniforms, and I've used them twice…read moreso far. Since this is the required uniform provider for the private school, families don't really have a choice--but overall, the experience has been positive. Pros: When you arrive at the store, customers are assisted in the order of arrival. I'm not sure if appointments are available, but both times we were helped fairly quickly, even during busy periods. The customer service is excellent. You are assigned a dedicated staff member who knows exactly which uniforms are required for your specific school and helps you select the correct items and sizes to try on in the dressing room. Once you've made your selections, the staff member writes up your order and you pay at the register. If items are in stock, you can take them home immediately. If not, the order is processed for delivery, which typically takes about 7-10 business days. Cons: Availability in-store is limited. During both of my visits--once at the end of summer before school started and again more recently to order the next size up--only a few items were available on-site. Most of our order had to be placed online for delivery. The store is a large warehouse, but that's likely because they serve as the main uniform retailer for many private schools. Overall: Customer service is consistently excellent and well-organized, which makes the process smooth. I just wish there were more uniform items readily available in-store, especially during peak seasons. Price points vary based on the selection of items. For example with this particular school you have the choice of two types of materials for pants and polos, premium or standard. Because the quality is different we opt for the premium materials, which costs more. Because the uniforms are tailored with the schools logo the prices are higher than you would pay for standard no logo uniforms elsewhere.

I really enjoyed my shopping experience. Granted, I came on a weekend a month after instruction…read morebegan for most private schools. I have not ordered online or called on order status yet. I am basing my review on my standalone experience in addition to comparing this shopping trip to that of numerous uniform companies over 40+ years as a student and now parent in a private school. My most recent purchase before Vicki Marsha being Norman's Uniforms, which paled in comparison. I will leave that for another review. I was greeted warmly by front desk reception, and my information was taken down before entering the showroom. The person assigned to helping me was a young high school student who may not have been as skilled in sales as previous Yelpers have taken notice of, however, I did very much appreciate her perspective in as perhaps "inexperienced" she was (she was great). I asked her what sleeve length she prefers in addition to size preferences of a girl my daughter's age. She honestly shared with me that she didn't undergo any major growth spurts in middle school, so I shouldn't size up too much as I would normally for a much younger student. The quality of the uniform stitching at Vicki Marsha is comparable to military grade. The samples to try on are carefully organized on the racks, as to avoid soiling the actual uniforms which for the most part, come in sealed packaging. I appreciated that fine detail. I can't stand it when uniforms have deodorant marks or are stretched out, and the size you need is the last one on the rack. The prices of course are in the higher end, but I expect that from all uniform companies, this one actually commanding more of a higher price in my opinion because of the fit and tailoring of each uniform piece. The garments for the students are made to be worn so fittingly. I chatted with the owner and relayed my appreciation for Vicki Marsha's attention to detail. They are family owned and been in business forever. I will update my post if I run into any snags. Parking is ample and the store is easy to locate. I have listed 4 stars instead of 5 because my daughter was sneezing uncontrollably and watery-eyed in the dressing room. It MIGHT have been the loose dog roaming the premises. I understand that the dog is an employee too. Very very cute, but might not be as suitable or hygenic for everyone.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. At first, the two women working here seem…read morefriendly--likely because they want you to make a purchase. But once they realize you're not buying anything, their attitude completely changes. They become aggressive and even refuse to let you try on more items. I've actually shopped here before and even brought a friend with me once. This time, I came in looking for a graduation nurse dress after being told over the phone that they had a variety of styles. However, when I tried on the first dress the staff member picked out for me and didn't like it, she became visibly upset. I found that frustrating--after all, I'm the one spending the money, so I should be happy with what I buy. Once she realized I wasn't going to purchase anything, she looked at me and said, "I don't like you. I'm not going to sell to you." After that, she refused to show me any other dresses and made it clear I wasn't welcome. And she said not to come back with her own words. This experience rubbed me the wrong way completely. I will never return, and I would warn others that if you're not ready to buy immediately, they may pressure you--and if you decline, they might even start speaking in their own language to talk about you right in front of you. Very unprofessional and uncomfortable experience.
