I was visiting a friend and this is his neighborhood record store. Located in a converted house to store and set up inside very well. A very nice selection of vinyl. Well labeled vinyl bins. Helpful staff. The prices are decent for new vinyl. I found an album I had been looking for quite a while which made me happy. read more

This establishment was such a cool Place! They had records, CDs and cassette tapes. Tons of old school posters having go around the place really helped the vibe of the place. The selection was really good, lots of old school records ranging from $1-$60 depending on the artist. The people working were very kind and happy to help with whatever questions. Definitely will visit on our next trip! read more

Went in looking for cds, I felt like they assumed I was going to steal and kind of followed me around the store, maybe because I had a purse? Not quite sure but I felt rushed out of the store and wasnt really treated with respect until after I bought 3 CDS. Disappointed when I have a negative experience like that, especially because they were judging me without knowing anything about me which is very rude. read more

Total professionals! They treat people with respect, they don't try to lowball you when they're buying your products you're used albums and stuff you know. Extremely knowledgeable about the music and they have fair prices. This is my favorite record store I've ever been to I think. read more

Excellent collection of vinyl and other media. New and old music. Reasonable prices. And a precious doggy to greet you at the door!

Great experience. The place was really nice and their collection of classic albums was impressive!! As a Boomer, I really wanted my prized 60's and 70's album collection to find a good home and really felt great selling the collection to them. These folks truly appreciated my collection and gave me a fair price with no hassles. I left really feeling really great about the whole experience!! read more

I stopped here on my road trip through TN. They have a good selection of new and used. when I went in on Tuesday afternoon there were quite a few people there. I was able to find some deals on a few used records and the new records were reasonably priced. it's a smaller store but seems like everything was easy to find. read more

We really enjoyed this store. It's located in a house which gives it a nice feel and the selection of records is pretty broad. They also have a $1 rack which was nice to browse for someone like me, who is new to the record scene. Also, the saltwater fish tank is pretty cool - they have almost the entire cast of finding Nemo in there! read more

Love this cozy house of music. I went for the vinyl, but there was so much more. Just the kind of local record store full of treasures that I dream of. read more

Amazing selection, great prices, friendly staff. This is my new favorite record shop. Will be back soon. read more

Had to go #ditc while on travel! This was one of the only few record shops open. I found some Isley Bros, Dick Clark, Barry Manilow, Shalamar, Gloria Estefan, Sounds of Music, Spider-Man and He-Man! Went over my usual budget by a couple of dollars, but it's all good! I like this shop. read more

what a great place! The hippest store in town, but with no hipster judgment mentality on what you might buy. An incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. A can't miss if you're in Knoxville.I just wish I knew how they got all those famous people to wear the shirts. read more

I visit Knoxville every year and I always make a point of stopping by Lost & Found Records. It's about 10 minutes from downtown with convenient parking. The place has a warm, inviting feel to it. The guy at the counter is always friendly and helpful. The store is laid out well and records are easy to shop for. (category, genre, etc) What I like most are the prices. Most of the LPs are in the 7-10 dollar range. Their condition is usually excellent to near-mint. 45's are priced well too. This is a store I can spend an hour or two browsing, and the prices are more than fair. This place "gets it." They would rather turn over product than try to sell a 5 dollar album for $20 on the off-chance a tourist stops by. I'll be back again! **My only suggestion....make the $1 and $2 albums easier to shop. After crawling on my knees for 5 minutes I get frustrated and move on. Maybe put them in boxes, on a table on the front porch. You will definitely move them if you make it easier to dig. read more

Wide selection of music. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help find the music I was looking for. Will be going back in the near future. read more

Not only the best record store in Knoxville, but easily one of the best in the southeast. They have a great selection in blues, jazz, 50s - 70s era rock, obscure 80s stuff (mainly punk/new wave), classic country, some funk and southern artists of all genres from the 70s & 80s. No, this is not the record store to find newer stuff or much in the way of rap, electronic or dance music, but what they do have is a fantastic selection in the eras that they know best. All that said, my favorite part about Lost and Found is the staff. Maria is super nice and Nathan knows a ton about music and has great taste in the more obscure stuff. As for the reviewer below that accuses this place of being "hipster douchebag city," it should be obvious from her writing who the real elitist is. read more

Best record store in Knoxville and best I've personally been to anywhere! I 9/10 come away with one or two records from here everytime I go. Which is usually every other week or so! Such a great selection of used and new at great prices. The Hip-Hop and Metal sections could perhaps be a little better, but I can't really complain since I've bought plently from both genres here in the past. If you're a vinyl junkie visiting Knoxville, or somehow haven't been here already, definitely check it out! read more

Best little used record shop in K-town! Maria, Mike, Nathan, and Henry the shop dog have it going on. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful without being intrusive. There are some great hard to find CDs and vinyl there. As a bonus, Little Sisters and Harbs Pizza are in the same shopping center. How good can it get???? read more

This is my absolute favorite place to go. If I ever owned a record store, this is the look and feel I would have hoped for. Only top quality records with the nicest owner you will ever have the pleasure to meet. Rock or groove on vinyl lovers. read more

I don't even know how to begin rating this place! I was SO excited to find a record store, that I was actually giddy when I was walking in! They have EVERYTHING! If they don't have the record you're looking for, they would be more than happy to try and find it for you! I remember hanging out at "Sound Warehouse" in Houston as a teen. That place was huge - but worth the time! Lost & Found Records is WAY BETTER!!!!!!!!! If you have a record player - this is the place to go! If you don't have one, get one, because everything sounds better on vinyl!!!!! They are very reasonably priced, too!!!! I'm so happy that I stumbled across this place!!!!! YAY ME! read more

Love this store. My son & I will go in just to browse. Everyone is uber friendly. We like the way the "new to store" stuff is clearly marked. The prices are excellent in old LPs & competitive on new stuff. My fav record store in Knoxville. read more

MIke and Maria have hearts of gold and this store reflects that. Yes, I am partial because I am their friend and I worked there, but I couldn't be more honest in that statement. This is easily the friendliest place in Knoxville and you couldn't ask for more knowledgeable and kind folks. Stop in. Say hello. Look at some records. Oh, yeah! They have amazing and hard to find vinyl that is in immaculate shape. You would have to be a real jerk to not enjoy yourself in this store. read more

I love this place! Extremely friendly local staff who are will actually put you down for requests for something you want, but they don't have. Constantly changing stock, and what great stock for a small business. I DO SO PREFER to shop small and local! I don't usually "advertise" any business, but yes--I DO have their bumper sticker on my car and wear the absolutely COOL t-shirt that was given to me!!! (AWESOME graphic-LOVE this shirt!) Prices are very good for a small shop and more people should know about them. Atmosphere is very cool being in an actual old house, which I love. It's cozy, casual, laid back and intimate. Going back verrry soon as I need more classics! I have to have some vinyl now that I received a turntable for Christmas! If you're looking for old or hard to find (lost and found) music, GO here! They help you find what you want/need, personally. Take you right to it. I used to go to McKay's. NO MORE! Byeee McKay's! (You're too big)! Helloooo Lost and Found! On N. Broadway, across from Fisher Tire-can't miss it. DON'T miss it! read more

Very organized and a pretty wide selection. Besides harvest in Asheville this is probably the best record store in the area. Very easy to find whatever you are looking for, and the owners were ready to help when I couldn't find something. read more

This place is hipster douchebag city. The cashier and his friend were talking about Nara Leao, Gal Costa, and a bunch of other Tropicalia artists, butchering their names and were generally talking jibberish and saying things like "the hipsters haven't found out about her yet." Uh dudes ..... you are hipsters. In any case, this place is tiny, which isn't necessarily bad, but their selection kinda sucks unless all you care about is rock. And that's really the one genre I've never been interested in. read more

Notice how the only negative review of this place comes from a tourist. We locals understand the unique nature of Lost & Found - not just a vinyl shop still making it in a declining market - but a destination for record enthusiasts and a landmark on the local music scene. The absolute friendliest staff in town ("hipster douchebags" they are not) and a constantly revolving selection of old and new, rare and popular vinyl keep me coming back. I very seldom make a trip to Lost & Found without finding a handful of things I can't live without. In a city lucky enough to still be home to a handful of record shops, Lost & Found continues to stand out and make the locals proud. What do tourists know anyway? read more

Loved this place! It's a small/intimate store with a lot of quality vintage vinyl. Found some cool stuff, and the $2 section had some great surprises waiting for me! Great 80's new wave stuff among other genres. I felt very comfortable while crate digging. The lady on the counter was very friendly and super nice with my 10 yr old son, who asked for the wifi; she went through a lot of hassle to recover it, because she didn't remember it. I really appreciate smiling staff who don't mind a little chat, specially when you come from out of town. Visited Knoxville for a week and hope I'll visit again in the future, so I can go and buy more and more records from Lost & Found. Thanks! read more

Stopped in on Record Store Day after hitting up a couple other places, and was happy to see live music playing outside! This is a pretty cool little shop, packed with an impressive plethora of albums, and thankfully run by a friendly and knowledgable staff. I also appreciated that even with the crowd and madness, everything was labeled and filed nicely, so I never had to dig too far to find what I was looking for. I'll be back again when I'm in town! read more

Love this place. The owner is very nice and helpful. Glad to have a place like this in knoxville.

Great shop. I'm not sure who the owner is, but I came here when I was putting together a turntable setup looking for an amplifier. The guy running the shop took the time out to set up different amplifiers for me and spun some records for me to get the feel and sound of each so I could make a decision. As a result I got a harman/kardon amp that sounds great for pretty cheap. Every time I've been in here the people have been super friendly (I'm flabbergasted by reading the "hipster douchebag" comment in another review - I have no idea where that came from but this place is about as far from that as you'll get in a record shop). As far as the actual vinyl selection, seems like they have a lot of good classic rock and jazz. Some country as well. I'd highly recommend it. read more

Great place to go for everything from classic turntables post 80-90 stereo systems 45s to Cassettes to CDs with music DVDs. Genres from 1940s to Early 90s and more R&B to Rock&Country...Classical not so much. XD read more

Went here with my boyfriend who makes music and he was looking for records to be able to sample. They have a great assortment of music and prices range from $1 and up so that no matter what your budget is, you can get something. The albums we got were in the $1 section and we found some classics which was what he was looking for. The quality of the albums even at $1 are good and all have played great. We will definately be back to get some good music again. read more

An absolute gold mine of pre-loved records. Easy access from the interstate, lots of convenient parking. Well organized collections of all genres. The used vinyl is in excellent shape and priced to sell. The owner in attendance was friendly and helpful. Great place. Came by here a little while back, and the only problem I had was trying to figure out how to cut back on the number of records I wanted to take home with me for the day. Extremely friendly staff old school customer service great prices and selection I definitely recommend this store.

We went to three record stores in Knoxville, and this one was our favorite by far. Great genre variety (esp. in punk, classic rock, and jazz), 45s, and a quality budget section. Thanks Lost & Found! read more

The best record store in town, period. I stop by once a week, on my lunch break, and have never left without a record. Everything is reasonably priced, plenty of great picks for well under $10.00. All of the used records are cleaned well and most appear brand new. In fact, its very common to walk in and see Nathan cleaning another stack of used vinyl. The owners and staff could not be nicer. They treat everyone with a smile, whether you're buying a stack or one $6.00 record. The most comfortable, friendliest shop in town to browse. Make sure to check the "new to store" section more than once during your visit, they may just pop something great in there while you're shopping! read more
