Blake and Shannon have an amazing collection of MCM furniture and more. Everything has been cleaned and presented in close to new condition. From the reviews and my first impression walking in the store, I expected outrageous prices. I was shocked- shocked I tell you- to see the low prices on most items I was interested in. Sorry no pics- I got a pristine high back lounge chair and a stunning pole light with three hanging lights for less than $900. Even online I would have paid at least double that in New England. This store is a treasure and the owners are just wonderful people. Can't wait to come back again!

I've wanted to visit Mid Mod Collective for a while (I follow them on Instagram), but I live in in Nashville and am not in Knoxville that often. However, when my husband and I were driving through Knoxville (leaving Gatlinburg and heading back to Nashville) this weekend, we saw a billboard for Mid Mod Collective along the highway and decided to stop on our way! I'm glad we did even though we didn't purchase any furniture items on this visit (we did purchase some records). If you haven't heard of them before, Mid Mod Collective buys, restores/refinishes, and sells mid-century modern furniture and other items (some tchotchkes, some art, etc.). Our house in Nashville was built in the 50s, so we've tried to decorate it in the mid-century style, but since Mid Mod is in Knoxville, all of the pieces we bought were found in antique stores in the Nashville area. What I noticed after doing some real shopping and exploring at Mid Mod this weekend is that, while the prices at Mid Mod were higher than most of what we bought in the Nashville area, the quality of the pieces was significantly better. I think this is because Mid Mod restores/refinishes/reupholsters. A lot of the pieces in our home aren't in great shape and still need the restoring/refinishing/reupholstering that Mid Mod does. I'd rather pay a bit more for a piece that looks great than pay what we paid for pieces that you can tell have seen better days. So if you're into mid-century style, I recommend stopping by. The prices aren't low, but I think you're getting better quality product! And everything is gorgeous!

Such an amazing selection of Mid Century Modern furniture and decor. Prices range from quite high to very reasonable. I've seen this stuff in L. A. for much, much higher prices. A rare find in Knoxville. Be sure to walk the outside showroom too!

Love this location, along with all the perfect condition vintage! Seriously, this stuff looks new!! While there stuff is high, I found a few pieces that I could afford, so that was a relief. This place is a bit higher than the other Vintage stores around town, but understandable, for Vintage that looks as it has never been used. I am also a fan of the clutter free environment of Mid Mod, which is a rare thing for consignment stores. They even have a cute little section of Vintage clothes! Java's bakery will be moving in next door to mid mod, so they will be seeing alot more foot traffic in the near future!

I had a few books that I could've sold online for 20 bucks or more and I literally got $1.13 for them and some items I didn't get anything for my items and they took them anyways and on the paper I requested it shows zero cash value. If that's the case then they should give our items back and not just automatically tag them to put out on the floor. They need to rethink their system. If they want to buy an item they need to set it aside and give us a list of hay we buy these items for this amount are you OK with it . Not just assume hey yeah we can go ahead and take this item they don't care and we give them zero for it or $.19 trade-in value. I also mentioned when I got there whatever you guys don't buy from me I'll just take back. They did have some items, most of my items since I brought three bins of movies and video games and books that they did not want. I guess they assumed I didn't want them I said yes I want them back. I asked for a printout of what I sold so I can remove them from online if I had them posted. The guy said oh we don't do that. I said you don't keep track of what you're purchasing from me? He said oh yeah OK and printed out this list and I wish I would've actually looked at it and realized a lot of items they took I got zero for they just took for free. I was not donating items to them nor did I say I was gonna donate items to them. I did buy $30 worth of stuff here (3stuffed animals and a book). I could've got $31 in cash or $70 store credit so I used $30 store credit and got $20 cash back. So I was really hoping for a lot more because I had hundreds of DVDs I just didn't want to take the time to post them online because it's time consuming. But it's just really disappointing only getting literally nothing snd them taking my items and some items maybe a dollar if Im lucky. When I got home realized when I went through the list that they took my Xbox 360 games and movies I literally got nothing for them that kind of pisses me off because I was trying to make money and some of these were worth a decent amount. One of the NEW Xbox games online is worth $25 and they literally just took it and gave me nothing for it . So I definitely will not be selling to them ever again. If they weren't gonna give me any money for my items then they should be giving them back to me.

Thought it was really cute, was kinda upset by how they organize their vinyls. Great pricesread more

This shop is more of a collector's paradise than a modern bookshop which sets it apart. You are sure to find a special gift for the bibliophile or a tomb worthy of a permanent spot on your shelf. The staff are friendly and engaging, very easy going. There is no intimidation and you are welcomed to look around and pull books. Children are also welcomed and there are books downstairs for them. Plenty of seating and a comfortable atmosphere. There is a conference room downstairs which may be for rent. It would be a very cool place to meet. Must check out this shop when you are in the area. The books are priced fairly and meet a wide range of budgets.

I did end up buying a book for my son from an old whaler story (not moby dick lol). Some Americans saved some Irish political prisoners held in Australia by the British. Good story. And my comedian husband was trying to be serious reading a news paper about separation of church and state from Ben franklins time and the type setting had f instead of s (on purpose). So of course he read it out loud to me with the wrong f's and we laughed for about 5 minutes straight. They had good tea at the store too. Great atmosphere and cozy. Newer books available down stairs. We read for about an hour. Was fun & we highly recommend the place.

Imagine my SHOCK when I saw gluten free bread on the regular vegan menu and asked if the GF bread was also vegan!! (Spoiler alert: it IS!) This now opens up a world of options, and more reasons to come back regularly. They have an EXTENSIVE vegan menu, and both soups offered the day I was there were vegan. The cashier told us there's a pub downstairs, with different vegan menu items. It's attached to a bookstore and has a homey, comfy feel. It's the kind of place you feel you could hang out in all day and no one would complain. The cashier was BEYOND helpful and friendly and made several recommendations for things to try in the future. The only bad thing is I wasted a year not trying this place. I'll need to make up for that!
