The service was very welcoming and friendly. When you come in you are able to seat yourself. This is a family owned business and they take pride in the food they serve and their hospitality. You are greeted with traditional Hispanic music playing in the background. It's small, so large groups may have to spread out and sit at different booths or tables, you can also get your food to go. They offer catering for your big event. The food is prepared fresh but the wait is not long. I rated it four stars out of five because most taco plates come with three tacos instead of two. We started off with the chips and salsa it was also made fresh. We had the taco plates and ended with sliced mango. I will be back again, it was fresh and flavorful. read more

I've been driving past this place since they've opened and randomly decided to stop by a few weeks ago, I'm so glad I did. This place has the best authentic tacos you're going to get around here. Please keep in mind, this is NOT your normal "Mexican" restaurant that we normally find. There is typically 1 or 2 servers on, who also bartend, so if there's a few tables in there just be patient. Their salsa is one of the best I've tasted, it's very mild with great flavor. They also have different salsas you can ask for (salsa verde and a spicy one, my favorite is the mango habanero one- which believe me, a little goes a long way). The carne asada tacos are very good, the meat is tender and not dry and chewy like I've found most places to be. I've also had the birria tacos, which are probably my favorite so far. The birria tacos here are NOT greasy, like other places, and they have great flavor! You can upgrade to a platter and get sides, you have choices there. Side items I've had- yuca fries, Mexican rice, and black beans, all good. The elote loco (Mexican street corn) is good too! For dessert I've tried the Oreo cheesecake, amazing. They also have really good margaritas. I've been back twice already in the past month and I'll definitely be going back more. This place hooked me in with a photo shared by the county in which I felt like the obvious freshness and deliciousness were SO APPARENT that I decided my entire family was going to Los Tios for my birthday the very next night. A gamble, for sure. But I won it. And I won it good. Handmade tortillas made minutes before I ate them. Insane sides (get the nopales, which I again gambled on just because I thought the name would be fun to say, and again I won). The meats? Good lord. We had the fried plantains as an appetizer, which was actual perfection. Our entrees were carne asada in platter and taco form, al pastor tacos, and the shrimp tacos at the bottom of the menu that I forgot the proper name for. It was all so daggone good. None of the weird Mexican food grease that usually coats things. Just flavors and happiness. Leaving church and saw this little gem so of course I had to check it out!!! I just ordered a little tasting 2 tacos and some plantains. I'm not a big fan of corn tortillas but these were not bad considering all of the flavors were coming from the inside!!! The carna Asada was tender and the lettuce was fresh! The chicken Chipotle was filled with shredded chicken. Next time I will get that one gringo style also. Those plantains were hot and delicious!!!! I have to ration those so I can savor the flavor!! Nothing to write home about... this is a mom and pop Mexican restaurant with run of the mill authentic food. The portion sizes are paltry for what you pay and the quality is about average. If you are new to the area I suggest trying other establishments. Also a 20% mandatory tip is bolted on so pay attention to your bill before adding extra tip. What a great addition to area restaurants! The regular salsa is some of the best I've ever had -- for real it had some heat and flavor; not like most restaurants around here which give you something based on tomato puree. The hotter salsas are excellent as well. Chips are for-real freshly fried tortillas. This restaurant will spoil you for other Mexican places' chips-and-salsa offerings. Rice and black beans are tasty but not exceptional. Tacos are great -- I had one rockfish and one pork belly. The proprietor is really nice and helpful. One of our party has celiac disease and was very pleased with Los Tios scrupulous efforts to ensure a gluten-free environment. Sorry, didn't take pictures.... The Mexican corn was exceptional. Really, the best Mexican corn I've had. We got steak, pulled pork and the Mexican sausage & egg tacos. The steak was good. The sausage was yummy but spicy and the pork to me was bland. But, my husband loved all three tacos. Im a sauce kinda gal and they only had 2 sauces. A Verde which was too sour and a Habanero that was sour and hot. Neither of us liked the sauces. We ordered the potatoes and the rice. Both were good. Again, I like something on my rice, same as my tacos. We ordered the Tres Leches and it was yummy. I'll go back just for the corn, and try their quesadilla or burrito. They make their own tortilla's. And, everything is made from scratch. Not out of a bag. ***Everything here is Gluten free and you can't tell it by the taste. They even carry the gluten free beer. Super friendly. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. It's an authentic, taqueria with fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. I'm not normally a fan of corn tortillas (they don't have flour) but these are outstanding! The pinto beans are easily the best I've ever had - I wanted to drink the bean juice! Each time I've gone, I've gotten a different selection of tacos. I recommend the pollo chipotle and carne asada gringo style. My tostada with carne asada and my husband's chicken huarache were delicious. If you like grilled jalapenos and onion (chiles gallos on their menu) order them stove hot, because otherwise they're served like a cold salad. They were very good even cold, but next time i'd order them hot with extra jalapenos because it was heavy on the onions (which I love) but I'm crazy about jalapenos. I found this restaurant using this new app called Kipita. I'm so glad I used it cause this place is freaking amazing!! The staff and service were warm, welcoming, and overall amazing!! I took my family of 7, and they were catering to all of us. Needless to say, the food was spectacular!! Everything was made and tasted fresh. Even the deserts. We had so much food and were delighted with every bite. Also, the chef/owner pointed out that all the ingredients were gluten-free. I'm not a person who looks or is concerned for that stuff, but I thought it was interesting how he explained how he they made their food and how passionate he was about everyone's health.
