Lina is such a good server! I go here regularly and all of the staff including the manager are super friendly! The food is great too!

We dine at Los Mochis at least 2 or 3 times a week; it's amazing! The food is wonderful; we get fajitas, tacos, and or nachos. And the margarita is a must have!! The service is incomparable to anywhere else in the area, all their servers and manager are very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is typically very good but occasionally a loud group of college kids makes an appearance. The food & service definitely overrides the occasional noise. read more

The food was good, plentiful, and very fairly priced. The chips and salsa was surprisingly good, but the Makers and Cokes were overpriced and in tiny glasses. Also there was minimal bourbon so not happy about an $8 Makers and Coke! The waiter was clearly new, but everyone was great. Overall very happy with this place!! read more

Had dinner at Los Mochis tonight. It was ok. Just ok. The chips were warm and crunchy and the salsa was ok, but nothing special. There were some dinner specials in the back of the menu, so I ordered the Tuesday special, which was 2 beef (Or chicken) enchiladas that came with rice and beans. Everything was ok, but it all tasted like it could have came out of a can. The rice could have just been some rice I made from out of a box. The enchiladas were a bit small. I ordered the chili sauce and the queso sauce, and again- It could have very well just been out of a can. I guess if you are a college student in Commerce, it could satisfy a craving. But....That's about it. The other thing about Los Mochi's is that it lacks any kind of curb appeal. The location is not very good, tucked away on a back street. And the place looks like it had been closed for a year and it was run down. read more

We were camping at Cooper Lake State Park, came into town for groceries and more. Stopped at Los Mochis for lunch. We, 3 of us including a teenager, loved the food. Large guacamole was fresh, had the right amount of avocado, onion, cilantro and tomato. I had the spinach enchiladas (GREAT sauce and spinach filling, bean and rice were just the way I like it (authentic). Husband had the chicken poblano (it was great). Daughter had the puffy taco lunch (great). The tea was dark and strong!!! Will def recommend this place!!! read more

I'm so tired of this place. You walk in and 9/10 times, you stand there while staff passes by without comment. Then if you stick it out, you can't sit at an open table because that section- with people in it- is closed. Their new location apparently did nothing for the quality of the food. It's mostly a bar that serves some food. If you want a cheap everclear margarita, this is your spot. If you want some good food, look elsewhere. The beans are runny not seasonsed. The rice isn't seasoned well. I've made better from a box. I"m pretty sure that the cheese sauce (what they call queso) came out of a can. I'm also pretty sure that the tamales did, too. I'm used to good Tex-Mex. This was blech. I feed my dogs better food than this. If you want a heaping pile of really crappy food for cheap with some boozy drinks, this is probably your place. If you prefer not to belly up to a feeding trough and eat good food, there are other places in town that serve better food and some of them are just as wallet-friendly. read more

NOTE: They are not at this address anymore, they are now on 1600 Lee St right across from TAMUC. The people that work here are really friendly and my waiter was super attentive. Even the busboy was all smiles as he worked which is rare to see in a restaurant. The food was just ok. Nothing special and I've certainly had better Mexican food. My enchiladas were really greasy and I'm not sure why...there wasn't a whole lot of cheese and the ranchero sauce isn't supposed to be greasy... The location is great, the menu has a lot of options even for vegetarians and the restaurant atmosphere is nice. If you're looking for award winning Mexican food, I don't think this is your spot, but if you're looking for decent Mexican food, a ton of menu options and friendly people, then come here. read more

By far the best mexican restaurant in the area, i eat here on minimum twice a week. They have a fantastic Taco Tuesday special where all tacos except beef fajita are $1.50 each. Salsa is top of the line! Prices are good and service is great! Check it out if your in the area! read more

If it was possible to give this place zero star, I would. A frozen mexican tv dinner is better than our meal was. The guacamole had no lime juice or salt. The cilantro had black spots. It also had tomatoes in it but the pico da gallo had no tomatoes. None of the food was spicy. Everything lacked salt. It was like hospital food for patient on salt free diet. Everything was bland. If anyone thinks this is authentic mexican food, they have never ate authentic mexican food. Save your money..buy salsa flavored potato chips & a tv dinner. 99% disgusted. The sour cream was ok, but not the sour cream sauce on my spicy chicken enchilada that was NOT spicy. This was a take out order. My family and I were headed to Oklahoma from Dallas to go camping and decided to stop for lunch in Commerce. I love Mexican food, so we googled the closest Mexican restaurant and found this place. I am so glad we did!! This place makes the BEST street tacos. They serve them with a green sauce that is so perfectly spicy and garlicky. It is seriously amazing. We were so wowed that we specifically planned our trip back to be able to stop here again. I wish I could say something about the other food, but the street tacos were so good that I ordered them on both visits. read more

This location charges $1.50 extra if you are an adult ordering off the children' menu. The lunch menu prices are about the same price of the dinner price at the Sulphur Springs location. Our table of 4 all ordered plates and one person only ordered beans and rice. We were going to be charged for the chips and salsa because of it. Didn't make sense since we already had a $36 tab! The quesadillas were greasy. Probably won't be back; will travel a few miles down the road to the Sulphur Springs Los Mochis instead. read more

How about prices....almost everything is under $10, how about the atmosphere....no loud drunk college students, how about the food.....everything there is good, and last how about the best cake on earth.....Tres Leches. We have been eating at Los Mochis since we moved to Commerce two years ago. This place has THE BEST Mexican-American food in the area. Hands down! They have improved on their service tremendously over the past 6 months alone. The owner is there 98% of the time and is very friendly. The main problem they had with their service was that there just wasn't enough servers... but now that they've kind of fixed that... service is much better. Still can be improved. There Food is just amazing. It's ALWAYS hot to the point where you have to let it set for a minute to cool! I go to Texas A&M Commerce and live in Hunt County. I think this is the best Mexican/Tex Mex in the area! Everything is very good, and the new location is convenient to the school. I don't care for the salsa but that is only a matter of preference. The new location is a little small, so it can be packed. I love the Chicken Tortilla soup and fajitas. read more
