My husband, sister, a friend, and I went here for the Mexico v S Korea game yesterday 06/18. It was a disaster to say the least. I showed up early enough to be able to get us a table. I knew they were busy so I wasn't even upset about them taking a while to get to us. The waitress came around and got our drink and appetizer orders. We asked for 1 lb of shrimp and a crab queso. Our drinks came and 30 minutes later our cold shrimp made it out to us. No queso. Again, we were understanding because it's busy and we 100% were trying to be understanding. My sister had ordered an horchata which the server said they were out of. She then ordered a cucumber lemonade and was brought a watermelon drink. When my sister brought it to her attention, the waitress apologized and came back saying they were all out. We said okay no problem we'll just go ahead and place our order. She took my sisters order and then told the rest of us the kitchen was closed down because they were trying to get caught up. At this point we're confused like what? The game hasn't even started yet. She asked for a card to start a tab but walked away before I could get it. We stuck around and waited to see if she'd come back. In the meantime the national anthems were about to start. The DJ had music playing over both anthems. When the crowd said, "Turn up the anthem" he DISRESPECTFULLY said "It's just the (bleeping) anthem, if yall know it, sing it". For a Latino business to allow this to be said to a crowd of Mexico fans was absolutely shocking. At that point my husband could tell I was beyond upset. When the waitress came back, still no queso, she said "I forgot to take your card. I said "it's okay, just bring me the bill" she then proceeded to try to charge me for the queso we never got and my sisters fish order she placed before telling us kitchen was closed. I told her to take those off and she did. Told us to have a good day and that she was sorry and we left. Went next door and enjoyed the game with a meal and way better service. I understand it was busy but the fact that they packed the place over capacity and didn't expect it to get bad is astounding to me. We weren't upset at the staff because they were doing the best they could. This was 100% on management and their lack of control and preparation. We definitely won't be back. read more

We came back the other day as soon as they opened and boy were we disappointed! They didn't have crawfish or salad. The service was great BUT the food was a bust. The kids meal shrimp was dried up little shrimp, the pastas had fried chicken tenders like they were just warmed up in the microwave very hard, the hot chicken was like a small Tyson patty on huge bread. The only thing good was the fries and the waitress. We had them take 1 pasta off the bill and just picked through the rest. We will not be back. Maybe the chef wasnt in yet. This is a completely different experience than last year. They have a nice stage for concerts looks like its a good spot to watch sports. We we very disappointed to say the least. We ordered the shrimp fried rice, nachos, 2 lbs of crawfish and a couple of drinks. Who serves 2 shrimps with a shrimp fried riced, the waiter should have been ashamed. The nachos looked like a kid platter. They messed up on one our drinks, and by this time we were so annoyed, we asked for a manager. She tried defusing the situation, but we were over it. You ready for the kicker, when we asked is this all it comes with for the shrimp and shrimp fried rice. The waitress replies with a smart remark , "this is not Mambos". Well duh! and this is why we will NOT be coming back! For the price, service and quality of food, it is not worth it. Honestly save your money and head over to Mambos instead. I won a Gold level birthday packages for his restaurant, the gold level birthday packages contains: VIP Parking, Churro Dessert, Round of Shots for the Party, Birthday sign with a show, Group picture. I have a reservation and They were able to give me a table first instead of waiting for everyone to arrive. The place is big and loud at least it is access friendly to disables. They have hand rail for the stairs to the bar and a ramp near by. For the VIP parking, they have cone off some of the parking space that is closer to the restaurant and there is a guy sitting there to guard the space. I told him I have 1 VIP parking spot and he does not have like a list but I show him the message on my Instagram and he move one of the cone for us. My friend and were the first to arrive, but they still got a our table of 9 ready despite all parties have not arrive yet. Our server was aware of my free Gold level birthday packages, and if you want to have split check for the table, you who need to give a credit card first. The food here is actually really good. What wowed me were the chips con queso, the wings are nice a big and the garlic parmesan and Mango-Habanero, I would come back here for the food. This is my 1st time visiting this restaurant/sports bar. They have HUGE TV's and what seems like millions of regular tv's lol. Gerald was my bartender and was helpful with selecting a couple of items off the menu. I tried the Flautitas and the menu l lol. The Flautitas had a beautiful presentation on a bed of coleslaw. The Flautitas were excellent. I felt the Coleslaw needed a little black pepper so I requested it. FYI they don't have salt and pepper shakers on the table. One of the bartenders brought me some in a small cup from the back. I was right that dash of black pepper set the coleslaw off, and it was to die for. The char on the tacos is more than phenomenal. I tried to give several views of them because I want you to see the artistry and the beauty. The shrimp had a sweet taste, but it was savory definitely a dish. I will try again. I asked Joe about the rice because it had shrimp in it and I thought that was something special but according to him, that's the race that they serve with the tacos, which is quite savory and feeling on its own. If you want some really good shrimp tacos These would be hard to beat! Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the guacamole, but it suffice to say the presentation was very nice and it was tasty . I would not go there on a specific mission to get guacamole, but it was OK. Pricewise I would say they average the shrimp tacos with rice was $14, and the flies were $11. My co workers frequent here for happy hour 2-3 times a month. They typically get the micheladas or margaritas, wings and , fried rice. We shared the seafood queso. A little disappointed to find out it was imitation crab . The frozen daiquiri was super sweet, I wasn't able to drink it but if you like very sweet drinks this will be perfect for you. We had the churros as well they were okay. Was hoping for tres leches but it was a cheesecake. Service was different this time. We weren't approached for about 15mins after being seated. It also took quite some time when trying to settle the bill and leave. At the end of the day it is a casual bar so that won't stop us from returning. I would suggest wings. First time. The place is very nice and clean. The food was great with great prices. The service was the only thing lacking. We were seated and forgotten for a while, they kept passing us and no one came by until another waiter notice and asked us. The place is not very family friendly only a small section is able to sit a big group and the other side which is bigger has high tables and chairs but not great for big groups with children. It's more of a chill and vibe with friends kinda place. I would come back for the food but service needs to improve for sure. read more

It's definitely a place with a party atmosphere, fun, they play sports on the big screen tvs and also have live music. If you want a more quiet experience you'd have to seat outside at the nice deck that overlooks a nice water pond. The aguachile negro was good, remember you have to get the shrimp in the sauce to get it perfect. The seafood soup was good (it can get messy as you have to crack the shrimp in it), the fried rice was on the bland side but alright, the boneless strips were good and the seasoned fries were very good. This was my first time going to Los Mayitos in the fountains. Starting from parking, there is a huge parking lot so many parking spaces to choose from. Second, we went on a Friday evening around 5pm so it wasn't that busy. Very easy to get a table. Once we were sat, it took a waitress about 15 minutes to come to our table and greet us. We were looking around for someone, but couldn't find anyone. Not sure if we were in the middle of shift change or what, but yes it took what seemed like forever to get some service. We ordered watermelon daq (which was on happy hour for $3.99), and a mango michelada. The daqs had many flavors to choose from & I lowkey think they were margaritas because they literally tasted like a margarita. My friend said the mango michelada was one of the best micheladas she had in a while. For food, we didn't order much because this was a quick trip...but I got the fried rice which only had shrimp in it. I would rate it an 8/10. It was flavorful, had plenty of shrimp in it, the only thing that would prevent me from giving it a 10 would be that the texture was a tiny bit hard. The crab queso was about a 7/10, just because we thought it would be real crab pieces but it was actually imitation crab. We also shared the churros with icecream for dessert. It doesn't state it in the menu, but it has some type of sweet cream filling inside which was a surprise to us BUT they were good. The ice cream was soooooo good. We will definitely be getting these again. Overall, I would say my experience here was an 8/10. Only complaint was the long wait for service initially. They say this place gets pretty packed on the weekends so prepare for a wait. read more

I've attempted to check this place out a few times but there was always a weird stench. Went today and all the windows were open and the patio doors as well. Great customer service and the cucumber Fresca was good. The oysters were not good AT ALL. I ordered the Rockefeller and they were full of mozzarella cheese and some weird topping 1/10. The crawfish were good and seasoned well 7.5/10. Don't bother with the sausage, it had a very weird texture. The corn and potatoes were bland. I would go back for the crawfish only and maybe to try the sushi. read more

I stopped by for the second time. It was right after leaving work for the day. The nice bartender remembered me and reminded me what I ordered the first time when I visited for lunch. It's great when certain restaurants actually hire smart people who remember you and what you ordered each time you visit. So I got the grilled shrimp and rice again. To my surprise, I still got the lunch special price even though it was the end of my work day. It was still early enough that it had not gotten too crowded yet. So I got to enjoy the nice, chill ambiance and the spacious, brightly colored décor. The only slightly annoying thing was that the manager had a short commercial playing in a loop on the big screen advertising the restaurant's food. I hate commercials more than just about anything in the world. Being forced to stare at the same low budget food commercial with very poor lighting repeatedly on the big screen in front of me was absurd. I asked the sweet bartender to grab the remote and put any game on the big screen, instead. She quickly found the remote and let me pick out a fun baseball game from the list to watch. She was very nice about it. Still, big screens above a bar should automatically be showing sports when I walk in; not dark, horrible, annoying, amateur, low budget, looping commercials for the restaurant that I'm already in. The full menu is sitting right in front of me on the bar. I don't need to be forced to stare at their dark, terrible, amateur, looping, food commercials, too. Despite the horrible looping commercial situation, which was quickly resolved, I enjoyed my visit and I plan to return soon. I'm willing to bet that the sweet, cute, helpful bartender will again remember me and what I ordered on my next visit. read more

I had to get my own silverware napkins. Even when the server came up and we had empty glasses on the cup, she asked if we needed anything she should probably be retrained. I ordered an agua de sandia and it literally was the lightest shade of pink that you can get with a bunch of water and nothing but sugar. The rice tasted of nothing but soy sauce. The Chicharron de Pescado had no flavor besides the oil that it was fried. Completely dreadful I asked for the check and she read out the amount instead of presenting me a receipt. We paid through the QR code and then she came back and tried to charge us again and I've explained to her that it was paid and she said no, and sat there and checked. Thursdays are $0.99 micheladas and pretty good. Had ceviche with pulpo and it was really good. I do have to warn you to be careful when receiving your receipt as they charged us 18% gratuity and when we asked if tip was included, they said no. It all seemed very sneaky to me.
