Situated just outside of AMC Fountains 18 (#1), the exterior of Brewskis would look just like the rest of a suburban plaza that it resides in. Essentially it looks like an extremely casual, safe, and typical drinking hole. Go inside and it's a different story. The place is a bit dated, reeking of cigarette smoke, and feels like a dive bar, but a massive one. The bartenders were a bit curt and didn't seem all that enthusiastic to serve my group and I, so it once we got our drinks it was off to the outside patio to escape the smokey aura. The drinks weren't particularly noteworthy, save for some of their weekly drink specials and solid draft selection. The food was much of the same, a typical smattering of bar classics from wings to burgers and waffle fries. While not much has impressed, the prices most certainly did. They have a sub $10 menu for most of their foods including a daily specials that are single digit pricing. As expected, there are also themed nights that range from ladies night to trivia to karaoke. I suspect that with a little booze, a lot of food specials, and good company, that this place could be as fun as it is debaucherous. __________ (#1) Only the largest theatre in Stafford. Great spot for a bevy. Staff is a great day to converse together. A person needs to visit more often and can turn into a waterhole.

I can tell you until you're brew in the face that neighbourhood bars in places like Buffalo and Milwaukee are far better, but by Houston standards, this is a nice pub to have in the suburbs. Watch out about driving home though. They're not too expensive (but not cheap either), and I haven't had anyone try to fight me here yet (which usually happens when I go in a bar), so I'd say all in all, it's well worth a trip if you're looking for a new neighbourhood bar. read more

Very attentive service. The place was busy but bartender, Corrine was completely in control of her environment. Great job.

I dont know who the male bartender was tonight but he was HORRIBLE and very rude. There was an African American male threatening people outside from coming inside and my friends and I were trying to come in to get a drink and the bartender thought it was our fault for starting a fight? We were innocent and just were trying to avoid the African male waving an Exacto knife at us with blood on the pavement. It was scary . And the bartender wouldn't even call the cops? Hello people are in danger right outside your doors HELP?!? Appearantly this bar is a trash-hole I guess . Should be closed down. read more

I am definitely not a regular here, so I can see why some people complained you will get ignored. However, having been here a few times, but not enough to stand out to the staff- I think most of that type of service is out the window. I think regulars do get special treatment, but the people who come visit are not getting ignored like they use too. Plus the staff smiles now. We once had a very grumpy looking guy giving us beers and cider. I was almost afraid to order from him again a few months back. The ambience and smoking are the two things that have me on the fence about this bar. There's nothing wrong with wanting to smoke a cigar. No judgement here. However, I don't want to be around it every time I go there. However, I do have to say it is cool that you can smoke a cigar there. I just know that's not for everyone. As for the vibe... The energy always feels very confused in there. Like, is this a chill bar? A sports bar? A neighborhood bar? It's like it wants to be so many things at once and can't quite make it work. The crowd is diverse. I've seen my old elderly church friends go there and hot chicks in their 20s wearing what 20 year old hot chicks wear. Everyone keeps to their own little circles. Food is generally okay. I think beer prices went up a bit, however the cider is decent. Not sure if the choices are limited or if I'm just picky. I think I'm picky-with cider at least. This place probably makes a great neighborhood bar. I just haven't invested enough time to call it my own. I pretty much am in love with my favorite bar elsewhere. However, I wouldn't count this place out yet. The fact the staff is friendlier now than before tells me they are doing their best to bring customers back. I just don't think they've found their niche yet, and I'm not quite convinced they are full fledged neighborhood bar just yet. Best time to check this place out is during a baseball game to get a feel for what to expect. And let me know if you like this place. I'm definitely willing to keep coming back since they are improving and with time, and hopefully with time it'll need an update review about how awesome it has become. read more

I visited this bar on 4/19/25 and was having a great time--until it was time to close my tab. First, they gave me the wrong check to sign. When I finally received the correct one, the staff member told me my tip "wasn't appropriate" for my order, which was completely out of line. I asked to speak with a manager, only to be told he was the manager. It was clear they're more concerned with maximizing tips than providing good service or retaining customers. Very disappointing experience. read more

Pretty good bar food. Had a Philly, good, but kinda skimpy on the meat. Soda in a can for 2$ and tea 3$, pretty proud of that.

Staff and general vibes have improved TREMENDOUSLY since I last visited this bar 6-7 months ago. Drink prices seem to have been reduced as well I've never really tried the food so can't really speak on that I would have given Brewskies a 1 star in the past buts a solid 4 seems appropriate, considering things contribute to trend upward read more

I spent 10 months working in the Stafford area and found Brewskis on yelp. The reviews were kinda middle of the road so I thought I would give it ago. Don't be afraid of the regulars, they'll treat you like a regular on your second visit. Good happy hour prices. Food is a little better than regular dive bar stuff. Bartenders were great. Good service with a smile. Only thing I would warn people about is if you are super sensitive to smoke you'll have to sit on the patio, which is good sized with overhead doors so your not disconnected from the read more

I'm a regular here. These bartenders are clowns. They only take care their own ppl and make other people wait forever. Jorge actually owes me money and pays me with free drinks. Smfh. Overall not bad I'm not a smoker so that is why only 3 starts. Parking is not a problem. I visited on a week day evening with a friend who smokes and he loves this place. You can smoke anywhere. We just had a few drinks it is a decent neighborhood bar. Music is heavy metal, rock etc. The crowd appears to be local neighborhood folks. Good place to have a beer with a friend who like to smoke. read more

We are not local in town for work they treated us great and kelp the drinks coming it was a awesome place!!!

I used to love coming here but recently my card was charged twice with two different amounts. This is the second time this has happened. My advice would be to bring cash read more

Here's what you need to know: Everyone hating on this bar either doesn't understand what a neighborhood bar is or doesn't like bars in general. If you come to a place like this expecting fancy cocktails or hipster cuisine, you're doing it wrong. And yes, smoking is allowed here, but everyone who respects freedom understands that this is a virtue, not a downside. Brewskis is the quintessential local watering hole: Prices are about what you'd expect, the staff is very friendly, and you'll feel like the clientele are family after just a few visits. It is a place for people who like bars. If you like bars, you will like Brewskis. read more

My boyfriend and I frequented Barry's Pizza when it used to be at this location, so we decided to try whatever took it's place. Let's just say this place is nowhere near Barry's caliber (and of course, it's not pizza, haha). As soon as I walked in I didn't like it. It was very, very small-town-bar-ish. There was also nobody sitting in general seating, just a bunch of people at the bar (some who were smoking) who obviously knew the staff there. We stood there for maybe 30 seconds before we were noticed, (trivial, but being that it was so empty there I still considered this an offense) and I almost considered walking back out based on that and my initial thoughts on the ambiance. On the flip side, when we were greeted, the bartender/waitress was very nice, which continued through our visit. The food was again very bar-ish. I keep saying that because many "bar and grills" still have a modern, clean feel to them but I feel this is a true bar. Even still, it wasn't enough to keep me coming back. Overall, I kind of feel like this is where you want to go if you're looking for a place to take you in as a bar regular. For us, not what we were looking for. read more

Service here is terrible unless the staff already knows you. I have been in a handful of times and the bartenders tend to ignore people often. read more

Great if you're in your 20s or 30s. The food menu is like an expanded high school football concession. Unable to make an Old Fashion. I'll just chalk it up to being too grown for this place. read more

Came here to watch a Texans game because some of the other places nearby were packed. Upon walking in, the strong smoke in the air is like a slap in the face. If you're not a smoker, you may opt to sit outside, which is what we did. Although smoking is allowed outside, too, it doesn't linger around your face like the inside does. The service was terrible and the main reason why I'm giving them 2 stars. Our waitress would check on us several times during 10 minutes, then disappear for half an hour. Our appetite was kind of ruined from all the smoke, so we just had some chips and salsa and a few beers. It's pretty hard to mess up chips and salsa, but they'd be better off just serving store bought salsa. I don't expect a bar to have amazing food and quick service during a Texans game, especially near the end of the season. We were just glad they had seating for the game and beer, but even having low expectations didn't justify the fact that we had an awful experience here. Unfortunately my experience at Brewskis was ruined on my first trip and I won't be returning. read more

A couple of my friends have been going to Brewskis for a while now and I finally went one day and I must say.. Had a great time! Bartenders are great, food is legit, and they have affordable drink specials everyday. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a bar to have a great time while not going broke compared to some of the drink prices around town now-a-days. Really terrible service. I was about the only person in the place, and it still took an HOUR to get my lunch. And that's only because I went and tracked down the waitress after 35 minutes. Cool local bar with a good vibe. I came in today around 5pm and was instantly greeted by the two bartenders, Robin and Jessi. They provided prompt service and created a fun atmosphere. I was going to have just two beers and leave, but was having so much fun I stayed several hours. The bartenders changed around 7pm and a bearded guy (think named Joseph) and Cathy took charge of the bar. They both provided great service and kept the vibe going. The bar was fairly busy due to a birthday party, but staff was very attentive and the drinks and food were good. I'll be back for sure. read more

Came in right before a movie just to kill time and grab a drink. I ordered one cocktail priced at $8. I drank it and left the bar. Looking back on my bank statement I have a $20 charge for no reason. Won't be returning read more

Brian, the Bartender, YOU ROCK! I used to come to this location a lot but, in the past couple of years I hadn't been, until recently. They have definitely stepped it up, including the food menu. I would really love to give this a 4 or maybe even a 5 star rating because the food and bar drinks were great! Came in on Thursday steak night and steak was delish! Thought Stafford had a no smoking ordinance - if so - no one is policing this place....will not go back because of the stench. read more

Conveniently right in front of the AMC theatre in Stafford. If you're not in the mood to have overpriced drinks in the Theatre, SAY NO MORE just walk on over to brewskis. Quan has always been awesome. She always make sure we have what we want. Just great customer service all around

My neighbor who visited the bar a few weeks before I decided to try it hit the nail on the head. "go if you want, but you won't go back again" Rude staff who were more interested in talking with their buddies (not even customers) to the point where I sat with an empty beer bottle for 15 minutes, along with about another dozen people who could not get the waitstaff's attention. When I brought this to the attention of the "gentleman" (read young punk) he copped an attitude. When I informed him of the reputation they had in the neighborhood, he flat out called mea liar. Not how you treat a new customer who is buying drinks for the entire establishment to be friendly.... Will not return! read more

I am excited to try a new place...randomly saw Brewskis driving around The Fountains. Mentioned to friend and we went back next night. I did not know there were establishments that allowed smoking...walked into a cloud of cigarette smoke. We decided to stay anyways. We took seat to talk. One person was bussing tables and didn't acknowledge us or even say y'all need to go to bar I if you want to be served. Finally left after 30 minutes and went to another bar that quickly acknowledged us. read more
