So today I was craving "a" or should I say "some" fish tacos! Found this hidden hole in the wall spot and got some damn fish tacos! Now I've probably passed by this place a thousand times in my life and have never even gave it a thought. It's tucked away next to some random motorcycle shops and what looks like someone house. Well when you enter you'll probably say to yourself, damn, this used to be someone's house! Lol. Really though, this place is a cool and good little spot. I ordered 3 fish tacos for 5.99. These tacos were big and had plenty of fish in them (not like a rubios fish taco ). All the normal fixings were there as well like cabbage and the crema. These tacos de pescado tasted damn good and filled me up. So far Los Juniors has got my vote and I will definitely come back again to sit in the patio and enjoy my fish tacos with my bottled Coca Cola. Also I saw a few other things I would like to try out. My favorite place to get Mexican food up in North County! As they say, the best kind of food usually comes from the.most unassuming places. Located randomly on a street surrounded by Auto shops, this little house serves delicious food. My go-to is the carne asada burrito. Many of my coworkers love the Cali burrito. I judge Mexican food by their carne asada. Does it taste good on its own? Yes, it does! Their tortas are also delicious along with their breakfast burritos. Carnitas are flavorful even the Chile verde burrito! I mean, what isn't good here?! If you dine in, the lady usually gives you chips which is a nice touch. They are always fresh and have a good variety of all very tasty salsas. Also, if you.ask for water, they give you this fruit infused delicious water that almost resembles juice. It's very refreshing. There's not a lot of parking but if you come early you'll be fine. The inside is quaint and there is plenty of seating outside. The food here was so good! Everyone in my family loved it. The custard-filled churros were a hit. Food was ready very fast (that must be why there is a drive-thru). When you order drive-thru food, and you order a breakfast burrito (or any burrito) and you order it with extra items, such as extra cheese, please make sure you BEFORE you leave the drive window that you take out your burrito, open it so that it's full exposed, grab a spoon or fork (request one if it's not in your bag), and dissect your burrito to ENSURE the extra items you added to your, such as extra cheese, is in it. If there's a line behind you, opps! Please don't be mad at the customer parked at the drive-thru window, the customer is merly doing EXACTLY what one would need to do to ensure the order is right. Otherwise, you drive all the way home, sit down at the dinner table, begin to eat said burrito, realize that halfway down you tasted NO CHEESE WHATSOEVER. So what would one do? Naturally call the restaurant back and say there is a problem with the order. Now, after explaining the issue, perhaps whoever takes the call can make a note that a refund or perhaps a burrito re-do (is that even a phrase?) can be noted for the next visit. But, not in this case! I was told the cook specifically put everything noted in the breakfast burrito. Also, when I called, the cook's shift ended, the person who took my order shift ended, AND the manager who was there left for the day. So naturally the person who I spoke had nothing to do with the problem at hand. My only choice would be to drive ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE RESTAURANT, show the staff and cook that there was absolutely NO cheese in the burrito, before anything could be done. Do you realize not everyone lives around the corner from this restaurant? Some of us live more than 10 miles away, like me! So as it stands, I've been ripped off, I'm suppose to receive a phone call from a manager tomorrow to resolve the problem. So let this be a warning to all that order food wrapped in a burrito. Make sure you stay parked at the drive-thru window and open/dissect your burrito to ensure EVERYTHING is in it before you leave. Sure you might get someone honking their horn behind you, sure you might get a worker inside the restaurant getting frustrated that you won't leave, but if this is what we have to do in order to leave with the right order then do what you must! Oh, before I forget, I posted 7 pictures showing we destroyed the burrito just to prove our point which is sad really. And french fries instead of the usual cubbed/diced up potatoes? This is one of the better Mexican restaurants in San Diego County. I fed my family of 5 here for late lunch today and everyone loved it. I had the carne asada street tacos - very generous with the meat. Their salsas are also great. Their facility is very welcoming: indoor seating, outdoor seating, a drive-through, and a clean restroom. read more

As I stated in my first review, we've been going to Los Junior's for years. That ended today. They get our orders wrong pretty frequently over the years, but we overlooked it because we loved the food. The prices have gone up, but that's happened in many places, so I'm not going to focus on that. However, we ordered 3 burritos today and 1 horchata. It came to over $30. We were a couple of miles away when we realized they didn't give us the horchata. We called and the woman said, "I'm sure we gave it to you, but if it's that important to you, then just come back." So after years of spending money here, we were apparently desperate to get a free horchata. My son had the California burrito. I cut it in half for him. The burrito was barely warm, the meat was dry, the fries looked old, and the cheese was barely melted which meant nothing was very hot to begin with. If you're forced to raise prices, you shouldn't lower quality. We believe in supporting local small businesses, especially during Covid. And we did that with Los Junior's. 5 stars just for their churros!!! everything else we have ordered has been hot and delicious. we have tried the carne asada burrito and chips. both delish! rolled tacos are good and their enchilada sauce is bomb! I've had their chicken tostadas and they were good also, just wish they had a longer "crispy" life in the styrofoam container cuz they were soggy when I got home HOWEVER, they are smart enough to send you with an additional tostada shell so it worked out. Their breakfast burrito special is top notch and there is not a single thing we have ordered from here that makes me regret going. Prices are reasonable, they're generous with salsa and always pleasant at the drive thru window. read more

How have I not been to this place before? Small shop that you can drive right by and not know it's there. The menu is huge and the food tastes homemade. The service was excellent. You can certainly tell they have a passion for what they do. I think this restaurant is by far the best in North County. I still can't believe I've missed out on this place for so long. I will definitely be back to this place soon! Updated this to 4 stars instead of my original 5 due to a couple interactions with an employee who refused to take my AMEX card even thought they accepted my AMEX card many times before. This place is usually good, fish tacos are good but they used to be better. They have messed up on me a few times lately, enough times that I've had it with them and I'm not going back. I always ask for the spicy guac salsa and every other time they forget to add it, one time they even charged me extra for it...but I let it go. The other day they forgot to put the tortillas...really? Today I went in there for a simple order, 6 rolled tacos, carne asada burrito and a adobada torta...man they burned the sh!$ out of the torta and the rolled tacos were over fried, they tasted like burned tortillas! Served on a bed of fresh, shredded lettuce with sour cream and guacamole on the side. They were delicious and the salsa was awesome. I like green salsa and they offer both a mild and spicy version. Absolutely off the beat and path for us to have found this place but glad I did. This is delicious Mexican food (fast) served in a old, interesting but colorful setting. I enjoyed the outside patio with sunshine. The food was really on point and some of the best carne asada I have had lately. Hole-in-the-wall spot with some really good food. I was particularly impressed with the Carne Adasha Fries. They were very good and I didn't realize when I ordered them as a side, that they are actually easily big enough to have as your meal. I also had the carne adasha torts and really liked it. This restaurant is Very Good. Definitely a place to get you fix. The service is excellent and well staffed. I go through the drive through with fairly large orders and the are Very efficient. This was the worst Mexican food I have ever had in my life I couldn't even eat it I had a few bites and I already feel sick. I ordered a Chile relleno and it tasted rotten. The guacamole is horrific it is not fresh and it's watery. The sour cream was like warm and not fresh smelling at all.The beans were watery even the hot sauce is disgusting. I was looking for a new place to try for breakfast burritos. My regular place is usually hit or miss and the last few times it had been misses. I'm really glad I have Los Junior's a try. I think those were the beat breakfast burritos we have had in a long time. I ordered the breakfast burritos especial.
