It's a simple strip mall restaurant, but the food is amazing, but in quality and quantity. I ordered the camarones al la Diabla. Not only did I get a very full plate of that, but also a plate of fried plantains, and a third plate with salad, beans, rice, curtido and a hunk of cheese. It was delicious, and enough food for brunch and dinner (almost 10 hours later, because I was so full). All that for $17.95! Service was friendly, fast and efficient.

They have quick service and a friendly staff. The restaurant itself is very homey, and it has an authentic feel to it. While I was waiting for my food both times, regulars seemed to be just coming in and out of the place. That's the sign of a great restaurant! Both times I ordered Pupusas con Frijol y Queso, which is pupusas loaded with beans and cheese. I also ordered Carne Catracha, which is grilled beef Honduran style. The pupasas were hot, melty with cheese, soft, and flavorful. You can easily tell they were homemade. The grilled beef was the star of the show, and my sister said she had been thinking about that bite of food all week. The plate comes with grilled beef on a bed of plantains with cabbage and pickled onions. They also served it with two delicious sauces. Both dishes were phenomenal, and the flavor was unreal. I can say that we just might become regulars at this place! Highly recommend giving La Orquidea a try! 100/10.
