Excellent value! Great service! Large selection of tacos, burritos, quesadillas and tortas. They're set up cafeteria style with them serving. No wait except for the time it takes to heat the tortillas. Large variety to choose from! I had a chicken fajita taco and a bacon, egg and Rcheese taco. Both were very good. Hubs had chorizo/egg taco and barbacoa/egg/pico taco. Both very flavorful: Although we didn't have the tamales, I noticed a sign a dozen for 12.79, which is a very reasonable price. The restroom was very clean. We would definitely frequent this establishment if we lived in town. read more

3rd time ordering from here, usually via Uber eats. This was the first time ordering in person. This will more than likely be my last time ordering from here. Customer Service was good. However, hygiene practices are extremely low. The nice lady only wore one glove, touched the taco with her bare hands and when another customer was paying with cash, she still had her gloves on and then proceeded to go and make my tacos. She seemed nice and didn't want to say anything, but I threw my tacos away. I can't imagine if the same hygiene practices were used when I've ordered food in the past. It's disappointing. read more

Ok, let's start with the pros - Service is great! But the food is not as good as the reviews claim it to be. The portions are big which I can see that being a plus for people. However, the meats don't look all that great and the flavor isn't there. Had the fajita steak, the pastor and the chicken mole and all needed more flavor and attention to presentation. read more

I had the caldo de res soup and I literally felt revived. I just got over an infection and the food was really fresh. The lady at the counter was really nice. She made me fresh tortillas to go with the soup. Amazing job 100% I'm really impressed read more

So glad we came across this place the food was delicious! We ordered barbacoa, discada, pastor, and chicharron. Mix of tacos and Gorditas. Homemade tortillas! And the portions are huge! Not stingy on anything we paired it with some delicious Mexican sodas. 10/10!! read more

I would say 2.5 starts ... Got some tacos today to go and it did not come with hot sauce. I asked for fajita and they gave me ground beef. I told them that it was ground beef and they told me no it's fajita. Taste of other tacos were good not their ground fajita. read more

Although the location doesn't look the most fabulous, the food is amazing. The lady was extremely friendly giving me extra food for no reason other than just to be nice. The Pastor taco was extremely tasty, with a savory and satisfying meat on top of rice and refried beans. The chicken enchiladas were seasoned perfectly and topped with everything you could ask for. Come give them a try! Passed this place a while back and noticed the giant "TACOS" sign out front pointing at the new restaurant and had been wanting to try for a while. Looked up the few reviews they had at the time and they were all positive so had to try it out for myself... First time I got the Green pork guisado and Barbacoa. Wife and kids got bacon, egg, and cheese. All the tacos were delicious. The tortillas are homemade daily at the store; only tried the flour, they're good. Corn looked good too, need to give a try. Definitely authentic Mexican taste all around. The staff was very friendly and even let me try some samples before I purchased the tacos. The place is very clean and nice inside, quite big as well. Looks like they can serve alcohol as well. Only gripe I have and reason I didn't give 5stars is because of the portion v price of taco. The 'specialty' tacos are 2.75ea and the others are 2.25ea. Not too terrible but felt like it should be more for the cost. Either way, they were so good I went again today and got Pastor and Machacado and Egg... even better than yesterday. I really do enjoy this place is breakfast tacos I just wish they made a version of the ecrich sausage variety and the. The tacos for the price point are very large. They're very filling they're very tasty. I would say that the potato à la Mexicana could be a little bit more juicy so dry for the offering and also when you order a mixed taco, they should give you more ample servings for the taco, but the feelings were very delicious and you can also tell the tortillas are homemade the ladies running the shop did a very nice job of greeting us and giving us some suggestions as we walked in I just wish that they would've given me more of the mixtures when I ordered it or I would've rated the place a little bit higher. The service was good the ambience is a taco stand so you have to be forgiving, but it was clean. I just wish they gave more for the feelings for each taco, because it would be a higher score, and more on par with the taco stands for the area. read more

I used to visit this place regularly when they first opened with the original owners and it was great. After ownership change I've been maybe 5 or 6 times with not good results. This last time I went in person trying to give them another chance. I ordered 2 tacos on flour, chicharrón en salsa verde with beans and a caldo de res w/ corn tortillas. I have to say that both the flour and corn tortillas were homemade and very good. The chicharrón en salsa didn't have any flavor at all. Not spicy, not salty not anything. The caldo was better it actually had taste. Good amount of meat and vegetables. read more

Ok so my husband and i grabbed tacos and pozole yesterday morning. All i ate yesterday was the tacos in the morning then pozole for lunch and felt so sick i was throwing up. So unfortunately we won't be returning. Also no one was wearing gloves, that should have been a red flag for us. read more

This is my first time trying this restaurant. I ordered 4 breakfast tacos. 1st up is the chorizo and egg taco. It was pretty tasty. They filled it with a lot of eggs n chorizo mix. 2nd taco is the chicharron en salsa Verde taco. It had a great flavor, but the texture wasn't my style. Mushy soggy chicharrones is not for me. 3rd up is the bacon and egg taco. I love this combo! I was a bit disappointed that it had bacon bits and not slices of bacon. The bacon was scarce and so the bacon taste was faint. Last up is the beef fajitas taco. Very good flavor, but disappointed that it was ground beef! I've never had ground beef fajitas. It's always been steak pieces. I ordered all of my tacos with flour tortillas. The tortillas at the tips was hard. I had to pull that part off. It came with a red and green sauce. Both a bit spicy. They have the best flour tortillas in the area which they also sell raw for you to cook at home if you wish. They sell a wide variety of dishes and beverages as well. The customer service is really up there, feeling very welcomed as soon as you enter. Music choice is spot on with a variety of sitting options being available it's hard not to like this place. I haven't tried everything (yet) but tacos are great and so are the aquas frescas. They sell beer if that's your thing too. I'm new to the area as I've lived here for a year and a half so I'm glad I found a place here and not having to drive back 40 minutes back to east Houston for authentic Mexican food. I seen on Yelp about the restaurant on 1960, big white building (not going to name them) tried to like it but just wasn't what I'm used to. I don't want to bash their food but in my OPINION this is just levels above it. Random last minute thought/rant. Here you can buy meat by the pound as I know just remembered. I believe this is the only restaurant they have so I'm not sure if there are others in Houston and if they compare the same. Rancheros music is being played which is basically county music in Mexico lol and to me that is what represents the county best. read more

We had breakfast tacos. Chicharron, machacado, papa con chorizo, gordita with fajita meat. Bacon n egg. We had a yogurt fruitcup was pretty good. I will go back and try their tortas. Overall i give it an 8/10 around Atascocita since we don't have any like it nearby. Will return to try other things. They are still getting it organized and welcoming customers. Yummy little taco shop. Staff was super friendly and food was terrific. Bummer we don't have these yummy hand made flour tortillas in most of the California taco shops. The chicharron in salsa verde was a standout for me, perfectly seasoned, with no need for extra salt or salsa. Personally, I'd ask for the onion to be chopped just a bit smaller but that really is the only "complaint" I have. I also ordered the charro beans based on earlier reviews, and they were every bit as flavorful as promised. I'm already looking forward to trying their fresh-squeezed orange juice on our next visit. My brother and I stopped in for carryout breakfast tacos on a Sunday morning. Alas, they didn't have brisket breakfast tacos, but had some good alternatives. Their flour tortilla is the choice here, and I believe it is Sonoran style: good enough to just eat by itself. My absolute favorite was the barbacoa ($3.25), very tender stewed beef with added onion and cilantro...not meant to be a breakfast taco I think. The other 3 tacos I tried did have egg. The potato & egg ($3.25) had big chunks of potato and plenty of egg: very filling not particularly tasty. The chorizo and egg ($3.25) was was prepared together, with the small chorizo pieces mixed in with the egg. And the fajita and egg ($4.79) used two slices of skirt steak flavored with fajita flavoring...for my preference, works better in skillet fajitas than in a breakfast taco. They also have menudo on the weekends, and both their corn and flour tortillas are homemade. As mentioned before, the flour tortillas are really good, and the barbacoa is definitely worth a visit.
