    Cheese and loroco pupusa
    Maria S.

I was looking for pupusas in the area and this restaurant was close. I ordered five cheese and loroco pupusas to go. The staff is friendly. The pupusas lacked cheese and they were crispy in some sections. They were generous with the tomato salsa and curtido (cabbage). Unfortunately, there are better pupusas out there.

Everything is freshly made, but it's pretty darn slow. Food is good

Lots of thing to consider here. First, the food is great and is freshly made. So 5 stars there. The problem is that the place is a bit of a hole. Like many restaurants in strip malls in Houston, if feel like some updating can be done. You know to make the place feel newer and clean then some run down place with many water stains on the ceiling etc. While this is kinda the norm in Houston, I wish it would change. When we went, it was crazy hot inside and I think an AC was broken. It was like 83 or 84 inside which made the super long wait for the made from scratch food miserable. Staff is always pretty friendly - so no complains there. Long story short, it will be a long wait for food. But it's really good and freshly made. Just hope that you don't have to wait while they have AC issues. Overall, totally worth visiting.

Pupusas revueltas with a tamale and pork empanada.

I haven't had pupusas since my last trip to El Salvador in 2010. Eating here made me feel like I was at home with my family. The pupusas were fresh and good. Served with a tamales and an empanada, I took my time to savor the food that I grew up with. If you like tamales, be aware that their theirs have olives; my wife was surprised by this. The pace is slow and relaxed, which is what I like. If you're in on a hot day, make sure to have a glass of horchata or tamarindo. I look forward to coming back.

Great authentic El Salvadoran spot. We have been coming here for years and the food is always great. Always fresh, so if your in a hurry you need to chill because they are making it from scratch. If you have never tried El Salvadoran food this place a great spot. Also watch out for the hot sauce they set on the table, it's made with habanero. A little goes a long way.

The pupusas were okay, not impressed. Not likely to return. I ordered 2 Pupusas revueltas of chicharrón and queso to go and asked for extra curtido. I was informed that they charge $1.50 for curtido. I've never been charged extra for curtido since it's a staple with the pupusas and it would be like charging ketchup on a hotdog. I guess the lady that took my order saw my face because they packed a ziploc bag with plenty of extra curtido.

I was very impressed with the food and service.Everything taste fresh and authentic. I'd say best Salvadorian restaurant ever! Also the place is very clean. I'd highly recommend it. Plus the menudo is #1 and the quality of the pupusas is the best. Just look at my picture so delicious 100%

Muy grasoso! No me gustó para nada. Los huevos bañados de aceite. Las pupusas más o menos. No volvería.

Our server was super attentive and he made sure that everyone's food and drinks came out at the same time even if someone came in later. I had the nachos with beef fajita and chicken, and I thought it was pretty good, it has the same set up as nachos from Pappasito's and my only complaint was that I asked for a side of sour cream to go and was charged a dollar for it. So if anything keep in mind that if you request an extra or even a condiment on the side, you might get charged a small fee.

I feel like my food was probably sitting for a while because it wasn't hot. The omelette itself didn't really have any flavor nor did the potatoes. The most flavorful thing on the plate was the avocados and fruit. I didn't even really feel like it was an omelette. Looked more like a bunch of meat wrapped in an egg cover vs everything being nicely mixed together. I took it to go because I didn't want to throw it away there. The service was very slow. I'd say it took a little over an hour for me to get my food and some people in the group waited longer. One of the girls waited for quite a bit and then the waiter told her they don't have the item she was waiting for. Waiting 1 hr to be told your meal is isn't available is crazy lol Waiter was nice though and comped the other item she ordered. Overall, I'd say I wasn't impressed with Gloria's brunch for sure. Maybe I'd try them again for happy hour at their other location.

I went there due to seeing their instagram story about a $10 meal deal (2 pupusas, a pastelito, and a soda) but they had run out of pastelitos so I had to quickly choose something so I'm thankful that they were happy to help answer any questions. It's a small food truck located in the same parking lot with Fiesta off Paton and Cavalcade so there's no seating or real space to eat (unless you eat in your car). They're also honest about the wait time. They said it would take 15-20 minutes and they didn't go over their time estimate. I have only had pupusas a handful of times (I'm from a small town in WA state that only had Mexican restaurants since only Mexicans lived there, so don't judge ) and can say these were the best I've had thus far. They were freshly made and piping hot when I got them (I had to put the bag down from my lap because it was too hot) and remained so throughout eating them. The cheese was gooey and stringy and their salsa has a nice little kick to it. It wasn't greasy or too salty which is always a plus. I ordered the revueltas (pork & cheese) and added beans to them. They are HUGE so be mindful when ordering them (they also taste better the next day if you have any leftover). These were definitely worth the price. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks if I know where they sell good pupusas. Let's just say I'll be going in again (they're so close to me). I hope y'all enjoy.

Beware, they play loud Christian music. They have a small grocery store within the restaurant where you can find all types of Salvadoran products. It's $7.99. Who do they think they are? I inquired if they have a small size. They don't. I wonder how many folks purchase it. This is a low-income area. I got down to business and ordered a cheese and loroco pupusa. It was of course served with curtido (cabbage) and a tomato sauce. The pupusa was good but I've had better. The sauce was watered down.
