So authentic, you better know Spanish! This beautiful restaurant has fantastic Mexican food. Sometimes, if you are lucky, chef will have made a huge, steaming pot of Caldo de Res. This hearty, healthy soup is loaded with chunks of tender stewed beef, carrots, chayote, potato, celery, onion and sweet corn on the cob. Los Compadres makes a perfectly rich, savory and well seasoned soup that will fill you up and power you through a cold day.

First experience was the worst experience I've ever had with waitress. Second time was great! I ordered chile relleno dinner both times. Chips aren't great. Salsa good. Restaurant is beautiful and looks great for group events. $10.99 for large chile rellenos is okay price for area. First time I came here I asked the waitress the food was, and she said $6.50. I went to pay and was charged $12! I was very mad but let it go. Just watch yourself.

This was our first time at this place, but not our last. We ordered Palomas, which were amazing, delicious nachos and terrific shrimp fajitas. The staff brought out three different kinds of salsa and they were one of the best parts of the meal. The atmosphere is so bright and colorful, too.

This is real authentic Mexican food! I have tried several dishes!! The guacamole is very delicious and fresh...definitely a go to spot!

accidentally stumble upon this place during one of trip to Chicago Heights...hard to find since it's camouflage by the mexican grocery store annexed to the restaurant...i always stop here for lunch when i am in the area...the mainstream food like the burritos and tacos are the best deals...the more unique items like fried whole red snapper are a bit on the expensive side - but tasty...sometimes there is language barrier with the servers...today i asked for more tomato salsa, and she gave me ketchup instead...

Stay away from Los Compadres under the management of Benjamin Cruz. He insisted that this main dish was not burned.

I used to like this place until my wife got sick after eating the chicken tacos you gave her yesterday night.
