Though having to wait a long time to be seated this past Saturday night, Los Arcos was well worth it. Our group of six was told it would be a 30 to 45 minute wait. It ended up being closer to an hour before we actually got our table; however, the wait was understandable as they had a packed house that evening. Once we were seated, the wait staff was very attentive to us and the other customers. This speaks volumes about their professionalism considering how busy they were. The interior of the restaurant, along with the exterior, is festive with vibrantly colorful and fun decor. As for the food, I ordered the Nachos Texanos, which I've had at many restaurants, but theirs was divine. The grilled chicken, steak, and shrimp were seasoned and cooked to perfection. My wife chose the Birria Tacos. The consommé to dip the tacos in was worth getting this dish on its own. It's a beef stock with cinnamon, onions, and ancho chilis that creates a phenomenally savory flavor. While less costly is always better, the prices weren't too high considering the current state of the economy. If you ever make your way towards the corner of Peters Creek Road and Lee Highway in Roanoke, VA, you should give Los Arcos a try.

Just moved to the area and was told this place was a must. Sadly it isn't. It was okay, but we have had better. Rice and beans didn't have any flavor. Chips were bland but salsa was good. Portion sizes are good, but they didn't have a ton of flavor. Fajitas looked great but let down on taste. My son got the cheeseburger off the kids menu. Fries were good. Husband had fried chimichangas (not pictured) where we are from chimichangas are the size of your arm and smothered. Not here.... :( The churros had a filling and still no taste! Flan (not pictured) was plain and underwhelming. Overall, good service. Quickly seated on a slow Sunday. Great ambiance but lacking in flavor. The search for good Mexican continues!

Decor created a festive environment. Service was above average. The food was very good in a generic Mexican restaurant sort of way.

I arrived for an early dinner on a Wednesday late afternoon / early evening. Very impressed with the quality building structure renovation and with the elegant open space interior design, I asked the Host / Server for a table and I was seated and given a copy of the menu. To drink I ordered the Housemade Lemonade. As I waited and examined the menu, I observed the beautiful open space renovation with nice and comfortable furniture and outstanding works of art decorating the restaurant. The server arrived with my drink and a welcoming smile and took my order. For apappetizer I ordered the Chips and Choriqueso. And for my main entry I ordered two Flank Steak and one Pork Carnitas tacos. Two of them Traditional style and one Gringo style. And for dessert the Churrosticks. The iced lemonade was one of the best lemonades I've ever had. Very lemony and the right sweetness. The quality of the Chips and Choriqueso was superb and the tacos were simply delicious. The service was superb. My server came by at the appropriate times to check on me and provide refills for my lemonade. I can't imagine how good the Margaritas must be at this restaurant / bar. I highly recommend this contemporary restaurant / bar for a place to go alone, to relax, or with family and friends to enjoy some quality time together in a clean and tastefully decorated Mexican restaurant located in a chick location.

The Historic Roanoke City Market Building currently houses nine different restaurants. One of them…read moreis Tacos Rojas. At first it seems like a hole in the wall, where you approach and they take your order and payment. Then you go take a seat either in one of the many tables of the Market Building, that are arranged similar to the Food Courts in the Malls, or in one located in a small outside patio (mostly used during the late Spring and Summer, or when the weather is warm). But don't be fool, this restaurant is more than a hole in the wall or part of a Mall's Food Court. Even though the kitchen and ordering counter is located in a very small space. There is nothing small in the quality of the food nor in the very flavorful cuisine. And their customer service is definitely top notch. They have copies of blown up menus next to a window facing the inside of the Market Building so customers can study the menu well before approaching the ordering counter to make the order. They also have the same thing in the outside seating area patio, which is under a roof. And right above the ordering counter, more blown up menus, as well as regular size menus laying on the counter. But besides all this, they have very engaging employees who are very helpful making recommendations on what to order if you are still undecided by the time you reach the ordering counter. And this is precisely what one of them did with me and I ended up with one of the most amazingly delicious Mexican food that I've ever had in any size restaurant. To drink they have a display case refrigerator with many non-alcoholic drinks to choose from, and a small bar counter where Margaritas are made. To drink I got a Jarritos Mango natural flavor soda. And to eat, I took the recommendation of one of the employees taking my order and ordered the Chessy Tacos Birria, which were made with seasoned shredded pork, and came accompanied by a bowl of consomme to dip my tacos in while eating them, and by little bowls of red and green salsa to put on the tacos if I wanted them more spicy. For dessert I ordered a Flan. Since it is Winter, I had my dinner inside the Market Building, where my server brought it to my table, and followed up at the appropriate times to see if I needed anything and who brought me a napkin holder full of napkins without me even having to ask for it. My server did a nice job providing excellent customer service and establishing a wonderful customer relationship to indirectly invite me to come again to try other items of the menu in the near future. I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant to all those reading my review, when you feel like having some good Mexican food in a lovely and relaxed atmosphere, either indoors or outdoors of a Historic Roanoke City Market Building.

The Al pastor 3 tacos set was really good. The portions were nice and it came with a red salsa and salsa verde. I definitely needed more pineapple though. I could hear the cooks reading back my order with the changes and I appreciated that The flavor wasn't quite there for me, but it was pretty good and again the portion was large. The queso and chips hit the spot and were the perfect addition. You could order beer and margaritas to go which I did not partake in, but thought was a nice option. They have outdoor seating or you could stay inside the market building. They also packaged up my to go order nice with all the necessary items.

When all the employees shouted "Welcome to Moe's," I genuinely felt welcomed. And this made the big difference in my perception of this restaurant and their entire culture. It seems to me that everyone is welcomed at Moe's, no matter the color of their skin nor their socio-economic status. And genuinely caring about your customers is something that is lacking in many restaurants and should be top priority in the selection process of their employees. Moe's first started in Atlanta, Georgia in the year 2000 and the letters of their name stand for "Musicians, Outlaws, and Entertainers." They celebrate the unconventional. With the belief that you don't achieve greatness unless you "stir the pot." This Moe's Southwest Grill is conveniently located in the Bridges Shopping Center, next to the South 6 Apartments at the Bridges. It is housed in a beautiful, modern red brick building with their restaurant sign high above in yellow, red, and black colors. High above their two glass door entrance thete is another sign that reads: WELCOME TO MOE'S. Once one steps inside, a sound is heard and all their employees with a big smile shout "Welcome to Moe's." The interior design of the place has exposed black ceiling, large yellowish tile floors and lots of orange and red colors to help create a happy dining experience. It also has lots of windows all around their interior brick walls with posters featuring AUGMENTED REALITY (AR), which can be experienced via the Moe's Rockin' Rewards app. On the right side of the restaurant there is a low wall that goes all around and in front of the ordering counter to lead the way to the large menu on the wall and then to the counter where you tell their employees what you want and you watch them make it right before your eyes. I ordered The Stack with Grilled Steak as my protein and many other items along the way. I invite you to view my photographs that accompany this review. I made it a Meal and got a side of Queso and a Regular Drink. By the way, the Chips are free with your meal, they are made fresh daily, and are thin and crunchy. They also have a complimentary Salsa Buffet, where you can get a number of salsas to go with your chips. And if this wasn't enough, their drink machine is one of those where you can choose an already known drink or make your own by adding many flavors. I found this restaurant to be a clean, lovely place to enjoy a Mexican meal in a happy and fun environment. And I highly recommend this restaurant for it's uniqueness and friendly service, as well as for its variety and quality of food.
