Today I stopped by Los Arcos Mexican Restaurant for lunch on Roswell Rd in Marietta, GA. I have to say the place was nicely decorated with a super clean restroom as well. My server was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the steak burrito meal on the menu and when they brought out the meal... it had no resemblance to the meal on the menu. The steak was over cooked with no flavor and the rice was as bland as rice could be. I was expecting a nice lunch and got a mediocre meal which in turn I'm giving Los Arcos a mediocre review. I've been to Los Arcos twice now and had a good experience both times. The first time was with a big group. The staff took good care of us and everyone seemed satisfied. My second visit was on New Year's Eve with my family, just four of us. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. We were seated immediately. I ordered fish tacos and a spicy marg. The margs are huge and tasty! I chose street style (with cilantro and onions) for my tacos. I love the simplicity of street tacos. It allows the protein to shine and it definitely did. It's a hard pass going forward. The staff were nice and accommodating but that won't add to the star count. We started with a cheese dip. It came out in a large dish similar to what one would use during a holiday meal. I thought that was a good sign. Nope. I ordered the special- chicken poblanos and my partner shrimp street tacos. The chicken was piled on the outside of a thickly breaded pepper that was about thin as a pencil- this nearly non existent. Very disappointing in that it was an advertised special. Thoroughly disappointed. The service was painfully slow. Our server took 25 minutes to arrive to give chips and to have our order taken. We tried to wave down a lady in the back when we were ready to order, but she ignored us and walked out of sight somewhere . By the time we were served, other tables that arrived later were already eating. It felt like some customers were getting better attention. The wait staff was not great they called me and my husband with impersonal pronouns such as "guy and lady". We also overheard the staff gossiping about other patrons while we were eating. My husband heard everything since he's bilingual. The drink service was rushed; the waiter didn't offer a menu or list of options. When we asked, he only gave us three choices and seemed to rush us. The food didn't help. My mexican rice was cold, and the lettuce was brown. The server only showed interest when we were paying, hovering while my husband signed the bill and acting smily then. When my husband mentioned the cold food to the server, he came back and said the manager said it was because we had "sat too long", a completely unprofessional excuse. No real customer service from the manager nor the staff. We won't be returning. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants around that actually value their customers. Also, after reading their Google reviews, it feels like many of the high star newest ones were written by staff themselves or friends. Especially with the repetitive nature and a surge of positive ones following the low star reviews. I think they only treat certain patrons better than others. read more

I would have given 0 stars! We went for dinner to Los Arcos, Marietta tonight and The customer service was horrible. The manager was rude, called us people who always complain. Was outrightly disrespectful when we pointed out that the chicken was stale. Never Going back there. I sincerely hope that the franchise does something about the complaints. read more

Stopped in for lunch and we were greeted at the door by a nice hostess. The menu provided a wide variety of different options and was very customizable. We ordered and received our food within a total of 10-12 mins. The food was fresh and hot. Not reheated but made to order. The place has a calm and laid back environment. Nothing fancy and very casual. I had to try this place a 2nd time to make sure service was consistent and Im not sure why this location does not have more stars than its holding at this time. I came here for lunch. They have a really good lunch menu with lots of options including lunch fajitas at a still very reasonable price. With the rising cost of food I've been noticing a lots of Mexican restaurants taking fajitas off the menu, giving smaller portions, or raising the price substantially which I understand but it was nice to see a place still with a good portion and low prices on lunch fajitas. The fajitas themselves were quite good. The meat was very tender and a generous portion of perfectly charred vegetables on the side. The other sides such as rice and beans were very nice and cooked perfectly. They only miss however was a chips and salsa they serve at the beginning. Salsa was pureed to a very smooth thin texture. The chips for very thick and the only give you a very small bowl to put the salsa in with high side so it's very difficult to. The staff and especially my waiter are very friendly and timely. We've been going to Los Arcos off and on for several years. They're generally pretty good and we've been pleased. Last two visits were a bit of a frustration though. In late January we were seated and asked for the drinks menu since the info wasn't in the food menu. "They're being redone" we were told. Okay, I get that. Poor planning to discontinue the prior drinks menu before the new ones are ready, but stuff happens sometimes. Fast forward a month and a half and we visit again. Same story. Drinks menus are being redone. After over six weeks? Seriously? Okay, so we asked the server how much a particular draft beer would cost. He didn't know. Yeah, no. We're not going to playing roulette with our bar bill. We'll be back when the drinks menus - with prices - return. There's plenty of other decent Mexican restaurants in the area who don't play games. read more

I've been going to Los Arcos for years! Would highly recommend their nachos. You get a giant plate that two people can share for a full meal at a great price. The vibe is very typical of a Mexican restaurant. We've always had good service and the last time the bartender was a hoot. read more

A nice little hole in the wall Mexican spot. Located off Roswell Rd near the QT and in a strip mall. It's been some years since I've been here but we were all dying for food. There is outdoor covered seating here, FYI. There's is really nothing to rave about here or complain about. In fact, it was average in every way. Typical Mexican food to hit the hangry spot. Best part of the entire meal was the chips and salsa & jalapeño cheese dip (which was ok). I ordered the chicken quesadilla which came with rice and black beans. Honestly, it was like every other quesadilla I've had anywhere else that was labeled as Mexican. They make them way too big, don't cut them into edible slices and the tortilla never holds together the ingredients inside. Rice & beans were also run of the mill. But, that's what you expect when you eat Mexican and, thus, this experience was A-Ok. Our server did a fantastic job though. I'd come here again if I was in the area, but wouldn't get the quesadillas. Hopefully next time will involve trying out their margaritas. Good stop if you just need to fill the tank. read more

We tried this Mexican restaurant tonight & it was very good. We started w/the chorizo cheese dip & while the chorizo was very mild it was good. The chips & salsa while mild were tasty. Had the steak quesadilla & the meat was flavored well & very tender. Got mine w/o onions & bell peppers (prefer it that way w/ salsa & cheese dip). My quesadilla was very good. Hubby had the beef Tex-Mex crunchy tacos (3) w/Spanish rice.He said the tacos were very good but the Spanish rice was bland & also needed salt. Our service was exceptional w/our server refilling my husband's tea when the glass got half full (always a sign of good service), he was attentive & checked on us often. A bit of a language barrier but he took the time to ensure our order was correct & he understood. Our bill came to ~$36 before tip. Felt like this was reasonably priced & the food was very good. Located in the walmart complex, plenty of parking. Visited here on a friday night and it was crowded. We have ordered margaritas, enchilada and chimichanga. Drinks are not good at all. Food was average compared to other mexican places in marietta area. Service was fast but they also are pushy. We got the bill as soon as the food was served. I don't know why this place gets such polar reviews. It's actually upsetting as I only live maybe three or four minutes away and it took so long for me to try this place because of the reviews now today was my first order. I was actually one of the first through the door the service was great. Two people three people came up to make sure that our order was coming up. They verified everything we got the food and went home. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything about the food was good a little different from traditional Mexican food, but everything they did, it was totally worth it. We got the burritos with the cheese on top. We got the supreme nachos. We got a chicken burrito and we got enchiladas. Each one knocked it out the park for the price. I could not believe it will I visit here again yes will I visit there to eat? Yes, cause the place looked amazing. i went here tonight and had absolutely terrible service. i ordered a margarita. the waitress took my ID and then proceeded to come back all smiley and obnoxious saying she can't serve me bc my id is fake. so i asked why she thought that and she said her manager could tell yet didn't let me speak w them. not only was it a real id but im of age and the way this was handled was more than wrong. the staff continued to talk about my table with one another as they made it more than obvious. 0/10 experience.... read more

Ordered on Door Dash. They ruined everything. Not one thing was correct. Manuel, the manager, offered the solution of giving us the same meal in 2 days. I said we won't want it in 2 days. What is Los Arcos? Just another sub par mexican restaurant. Ordered Togo tonight and they provided a VERY small container of salsa. Not a sufficient amount for 2 dinners. I asked for more and their policy is to charge for more, yet dining in they will give you all you want. Quite odd. I had arrow con Pollo. IT was ok but the chicken was WAY over cooked. Just go to Zama... Margaritas are just mix no alcohol. Ordered a Coronarita and the only alcohol in drink was the beer, it's like they think you can't tell. Worst mixed drink ever. As for food...ordered the seafood burrito and came with canned black beans...probably GV brand no sodium from the Walmart in parking lot. They did not even attempt to flavor beans. Also, you order a seafood burrito and you would assume it came with rice right? Not the case here whoever heard of seafood and rice combination especially for a seafood burrito...Right? Go to Taco Bell, their food is more flavorful. When Taco Bell has better food you definitely have a problem here. Don't waste your money at Los Arcos. read more

SO GROSS! They will rip you off for the simplest things. I ordered an entree from the menu (spinach quesadilla) that clearly showed a picture of the plate that included sour cream. And also tomatoes & onions which WERE in the description, but NOT in the quesadilla. When I inquired, Valeria, my waitress, told me "the menu is weird" and since sour cream wasn't written in the description, (nor was the quac, that was on my plate), and wouldn't bring me a damn side of sour cream without charging me extra. Unbelievable and petty, and a complete sham. What are these people doing? No customer service and willing to dispute a pic showing what I ordered on THEIR OWN MENU?! So dumb & extremely irritating. Do these servers not have any regard for what I'm spending money on? I cannot believe I'm writing all of this over sour cream, and heck, onions and tomato too! But it really is NOT cool AT ALL! It was ok. But you totally lost points because you failed to put my guacamole and sour cream as it clearly states it's served with. The pico was supposed to come served also, but it came inside which is perfectly fine with me. But the reason I ordered the burrito wrap is because sour and guacamole came with it. Los Arco's is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in East Cobb. We have made it our go to restaurant every week! Manuel and Raquel always made sure we are taken care of. Every single server we've had has always given us great service. The food always comes out quickly, and the drinks are always strong. I highly recommend trying their mojitos, piña colada, and margaritas. The street tacos are BOMB! The carne Asada, carnitas, and Birria tacos are to die for. We got hooked onto the chicken & steak chimichanga. The enchiladas verde are also yummy. I don't think there's anything on the menu we've tried that we didn't like. If you love good service, a friendly environment, and a good bang for your buck this is the place to go! read more

We've been coming here for 8 years since it's nice and close to home. The food is good and consistent unlike the wait staff. They go through a lot so even for long time regulars, it's hit and miss. When we get the good staff, 5 stars all the way. Nachos Fiesta are awesome, carnitas is the bomb. I've have been trying to get them to put a carnitas burrito on the menu but they won't fit some reason, I'd buy one every time. The street tacos are good and chicken soup hits the spot when you have a hankering for it. The margaritas are hot and miss as well. Our last time in my wife had a big margarita and didn't feel it at all. She's a lightweight so it had to be missing the tequila.
