If I need gas and I'm not close to a preferred station (e.g. Costco, QuikTrip) then I look for gas stations offering GetUpside cash back. Use my invite code DANIEL66482 to get an extra $0.15 per gallon cash back the first time you use the app. In my experience with the app so far, there have been no catches or gimmicks. It's simply free money back. A no-brainer. There was one odd thing about this Exxon in relation to GetUpside. Usually, all I have to do is use the credit card registered with my GetUpside account and the cash back claim is automatically processed. At this station, I had to take an additional step of taking a picture of my receipt and sending it to GetUpside through the app. In this way, it was very similar to the restaurant deal app Seated if you've ever used that. I filled up at 7:23 PM on a Saturday and got an email from GetUpside that my cash back had been successfully processed at 8:58 AM the next day, Sunday. This Exxon is not to be confused with the Mobil station one block away at 1010 N Main St. I got confused and accidentally went to the Mobil station first. I then realized I was at the wrong station when I tried checking in and claiming the cash back offer with GetUpside. Exxon and Mobil are part of the same parent corporation, ExxonMobil. Exxon and Mobil gas stations use the same brand of fuel and pumps known as "Synergy," so the stations look alike.
