This place is close to my house so we come here a lot for great Mexican food. I love tacos and the have great taco plates that come with rice and beans and lunch specials . Chicken fajitas are always a great call as well. They have good portions and the service is always good here . Hands down some of the worst service I've ever received. Sat for 15 minutes being one of 3 tables in the whole restaurant. Seems like the teenage staff loves to scroll tiktok more than make money nowadays. Food came out well before drinks. Waited for almost half an hour after we were done eating for anything to be cleared from the table and/check offered. read more

Maybe too authentic. Our experience with Mexican food in Mexico is that it's generally kind of bland. We tend to prefer spicier, perhaps more Tex-Mex, although we've enjoyed meals in truly authentic places. The restaurant itself was clean, well-arranged (although social distancing was more accidental than purposeful); our server did a nice job, was responsive, worked hard and was friendly and pleasant. Not her fault that one meal came out about 5 minutes before the other. Maybe the least interesting salsa we've ever tasted (and trust me when I tell you we've eaten A LOT of salsa over the years). The cheese dip was uninteresting and runny, not because it was so hot but (our guess) because it was cut with milk. We've had better house margaritas than was passed for top shelf here. They improved slightly as they got colder, but we still left some in the bottom of the glass. My wife was not crazy about either version of the beef she had; chicken was better. Rice and beans were, well, rice and beans, nothing terrible, but only so so. It was fine, but we'd probably try a different place (there are at least two others) if we're ever in Manchester again. read more

Mediocre Mexican. Very watery cheese dip that we had to ask to be heated up - it was luke warm. Al a carte chicken burrito came with red sauce over it and fresh cheese. My husband ordered burrito grande and he enjoyed it but it had a lot more rice and beans inside of it than chicken. He looked at mine and said I should have order the al a carte burrito for $3.99 versus his at $10.00. Very nice frozen mugs for the daft beer which is a great price at $3.99. read more

Good Deal$ Wife and I split mixed fajita and bean dip. The best service and good food for pretty good price. Parking is a little tight but adequate. There are many seats and often it will be full, but the wait is almost non-existent. As Mexican restaurants go, its relatively low noise. Out of several Mexican restaurants in Manchester, this is still our favorite. We haven't tried their new location on Relco Drive--Haven't seen a reason to. We feel right at home here. Ordered food Friday night. Asked them for a Burrito California with 1/2 ground beef, 1/2 steak. Wife got Azteca chicken but asked for no cheese sauce but with shredded cheese. Also asked for extra salsa. Got home, burrito is all ground beef and lukewarm, salsa containers half filled and wife's food has cheese sauce. After spending 6 to 8 minutes on the phone trying to explain the error, wife goes to get her food remade. She waited almost 15 minutes for her new order. Got home...food is cold. I lived with the burrito but for $30 for a meal for 2, this was not good. The kicker is we are literally 3 minutes away from the restaurant so the food was cold when they gave it to us. Save your money, go somewhere else for Mexican. read more

I will offer a different review, as I found my visit there to be exactly what I'd been hoping for. Having come from South Florida, where authentic Mexican is so abundant as to be taken for granted - and now living in Northern Alabama, where such a thing is almost unheard of, I've been searching for a basic, no-frills experience, with all the flavor that my favored, much-missed hole-in-the-walls provide. Instead of the entrees disguised under half a pound of queso dip, or other unsavory gringofication, I had a delightfully simple chicken entree; well marinated and tender. The rice, which is my benchmark for rating, was without unnecessary additives. Seasoned, flavorful, but neither tasting of a pre-packaged mix, or so bland as to be left as a neglected garnish. A hint of roasting, a touch of garlic. The rice was perfect. I have only patronized this eatery once, and that was two years prior to my review. It has left me wanting to return, to have another sample. Based on the other opinion, the service may vary that greatly - I've known that to happen - or it could be that the other reviewer was anticipating something else entirely - that we wanted for different results. I absolutely LOVE this authentic Mexican restaurant in the little town of Manchester, TN. We have lots of relatives in the area and luckily get to town at least twice a year so I can get my fix. My favorite dish is the Especiale Los 3 Amgos that my husband and I share---it is a huge platter of sizzling fajitas with chicken, beef, chorizo, pork, and shrimp and seasoned perfectly. The chips are crisp, the salsa great, and the margaritas are cold, cheap, and not lacking alcohol. If you are in town for Bonnaroo-- do yourself a favor and stop in...you won't be disappointed. read more

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant on Manchester. The staff is friendly, the portions are large, the food is tasty, and the food and drink prices are reasonable if not downright inexpensive. All the dishes that I tried (several) are flavorful; a couple of my favorites are the chicken chimichanga and the Pollo Pablano. And if you want more flavor, and a little heat, I recommend asking for some red or green salsa picosa, you won't be disappointed. read more
