The 5-star reviews for Lopez Landscaping are well earned. I had a backyard with a pool and not much else (okay, dirt and weeds) for many years. I finally decided to invest in getting the yard finished and met with several contractors to get bids on the job. Tony from Lopez Landscaping was by far the most professional and knowledgable of all. Others have said it in their reviews, but it's worth repeating here - Tony does a PHENOMENAL job of listening to what YOU want in your project, getting a feel for your vision and then using his knowledge and eye for design to make suggestions and offer choices that are totally in line with it. There were several times where I had a certain look or feel in my head and hadn't even expressed it yet, but Tony would recommend something that matched it exactly. His crew are extremely professional, cleaning as they go, and always left the job tidy every night. They went out of their way to keep dust down as much as possible, to clean things up at the end of the day, etc. They are very skilled and seemed to work together very well. It's also worth mentioning that they were there to work; I never saw them standing around, making personal phone calls for 30 minutes, or leaving for an hour here and there. (I've had several experiences with crews who do that.) Not this crew. They were amazing. Throughout the process, Tony and his office staff were in communication with me regularly. I never felt out of touch, and appreciated their quick replies when I sent them an email. Cost-wise I will say that Lopez Landscaping was not the cheapest quote, but the cost was not outrageous or out of line. Basically, my other quotes were from "paver people" who would come in and put in pavers but I'd have to tell them exactly how and where. Or landscapers who could get whatever rock and plants I told them to, but didn't seem to know a lot about pavers. None of them seemed interested in hearing my design ideas or giving me suggestions and basically creating a full design idea. Tony did, and that's the reason I went with Lopez Landscaping. I wanted to hire ONE company that could do it all - one that would hear my ideas and not only do what I wanted, but actually IMPROVE upon them, and a company that would be responsive and not leave me having to spend an inordinate amount of time acting as the general contractor for this project. This is EXACTLY what I got with Lopez Landscaping...AND an amazing backyard. My friend referred me to Tony Landscape. I know that she referred them to others, and everyone was extremely happy with them. All of their yards were beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I called Tony for a re-do of my backyard. He replied immediately. He inspected my yard and knew immediately what I wanted...I never said a word! He got my style, vibe whatever... immediately. Drew up a beautiful plan. Informed me initially of when/what the crew was doing. They were here, on time, respectful, professional, no mess, I never bothered him for further scheduling . I just had my front yard landscaped by Tony and his team from Lopez Landscape, and they did a phenomenal job. My home was a new build that didn't come with front yard landscaping, so it had to all be done from scratch. I received 3 bids, and Lopez Landscaping was not only the best, they submitted my design to the HOA on my behalf and included me in every step of the design. Tony delivered on his promises, he got me a design and itemized pricing within a couple days of us meeting. The craziest part of all of this was how fast they finished the job, my yard was literally dirt 3 days ago and its 100% complete today with pavers, synthetic turf, 2 river beds, 100% automated landscaping lighting, PVC drip system with 4 zones, rock, pre-emerge, even the emitters for the drip system look to be commercial quality! My last landscaper took months to do a backyard for me at my old house!!! Tony had a team of 7 guys show up and they finished in 3 days! He didn't keep materials stored in front of my house for weeks like other companies-the day the rock was delivered was the day it was installed! He planned everything out perfectly, even deliveries of material. After they finished the job, they even swept, cleaned, and sprayed down everything to leave it perfectly clean. I can't be more thankful and pleased with the job. Lisa from their office was excellent at communicating with me about color choices and things for my job, any communication was fast, with an email answer within minutes most times. Even Natalie, the young lady that handled the payment aspect of things was very nice and worked around my schedule. Tony and the rest of the team at Lopez landscape aren't a fly-by-night low budget operation. These guys have the team, tools, trucks, and resources to get ANY job done, big or small. With the economy in good shape home building and home sales are keeping all of the landscapers in high demand. I decided to call 5 or 6 out to my newly built house to see what they could do for my backyard of dirt. A few did show up (none of them arrived at the promised time except Tony) and they gave me rough estimates of what they could do but no drawings or solid estimates followed. Tony from Lopez Landscaping provided us with a detailed drafted of his vision for our backyard naming trees and plants he planned on putting in along with a price. We looked it over and told him we would get back to him. We asked if we could scale back on what money we had to work with with and he promptly came back with modifications which sealed the deal. He is extremely professional, shows up on time and so do his workers. They did a wonderful job and made our backyard a place that we can enjoy for many years to come! Lopez Landscaping has done a great job on our backyard. We have a 1/3 acre lot and quite a lot of yard in the back. Our designer, Frank, listened to our inputs and came up with a great design. We wanted to execute the design in phases as we could afford it and they have worked with us wonderfully. All of the workers have been very professional, explaining everything as we went along. Their office staff (Maria and Lisa) were very good about returning emails and phone calls. The best part is that they are very affordable and back up all their work with a warranty. read more

Tony and his crew just finished the backyard at our new home, and we couldn't be happier! The yard design included a focal point palm with curved walkways and pathway and tree accent lighting. All the plants and citrus trees we discussed putting into the landscape were selected for sun exposure with the pool taken into consideration. Everyone is very friendly and concerned about doing a good job for the homeowner. Tony is very professional, worked with our budget, and obviously knows plants and design. He is very helpful with suggestions and ideas. He is also good about last minute additions like our pool equipment barrier that was not planned originally. Tony and his crew are very efficient and work to get the job done! The people in the office are very friendly too and helpful!! We are very pleased with the finished design. And so is our dog. I have been enjoying my new back and front hardscape / landscape so much I just realized I hadn't yet posted a review. It seemed as every key aspect of the job was driven by a member of the family. All were very professional and dedicated to the best customer experience. Tony handled the design aspect and was very responsive to all questions / suggestions that we had. His knowledge of plants and trees is very impressive. Dependent on whether it was design, demolition of existing concrete, deliveries, billing and questions, to hardscape and plantings the family of Tony, Jose, Lisa, and Frank were excellent. Our house is on a golf course lot in Sun City. Everyday after major work was completed we would have a couple different people comment how beautiful the yard was looking from both the golf course and the front yard. It surely stands out on the street. Just as important are the hidden fundamental aspects of the job. For instance all the drips are run with PVC piping rather than old fashioned and easier to install black drip hose. Once the job starts they really get after it and all their workers have the very best tools to do the job right the first time. I waited to write this review because Lopez Landscaping seemed too good to be true. It's been over 4 months since they installed our backyard and I have no doubt they are the real deal! Tony has been fabulous--start to finish. He listened to my ideas and offered suggestions when I asked for his professional expertise. I loved his design and his patience. There was a tree delivered that wasn't exactly to my liking (it wasn't bad, just wasn't as big as I was hoping) and he went out and replaced it with one to my liking. He absolutely exceeded my expectations with performance and customer service. Everyone on his team consistently worked hard, were highly-skilled, professional, courteous, and always kept a clean job site. We are so pleased with the way they transformed our backyard. Not only that, but I have called Tony with follow-up questions quite a few times since the installation (Does this tree look healthy? Is the grass getting enough water? Etc.) and he has been INCREDIBLY patient with me. He has not stopped working for us and has made time to stop by our house to address our concerns. What can I say. My wife and I moved into our house in Litchfield Park in 2012. We love the house and area, but we were not 100% satisfied with the landscaping. Lopez Landscaping just completed a two day landscape project for me. The Job involved a paved walk way and over 12 tons of 1" rock in our backyard. This company is owned and operated by The Lopez Family. Lisa runs the office and is very polite, professional and helpful. Tony is the designer and estimator. Tony patiently listened to my wife and I explained what we wanted and how disappointed we were with the original landscape company that work on our backyard 10 years ago. Tony also understood our needs and budget concerns. At first, I thought the estimate was high but when Tony explained all the extras that he was performing and correcting the mistakes of the original landscaping company, I realized that I was getting a "Great price". Tony also advised me that he would have my existing paver patio power washed to bring back the original color for no extra charge. I knew I found a great company and we decide on the spot to go with Lopez landscaping and not entertain other landscaping companies. The project was scheduled out in two weeks. I explained to Tony that I couldn't take off work on the first day but Tony assured me that he would be onsite to ensure everything went according to plan. I got home just as the crew and Jose (Tony's father) was wrapping up. Jose runs the work crew. He walked me through what was completed and explained all they did. I was amazed at all that was accomplished including a beautiful curved paved walkway. One of the workers informed me a package was delivered while they were working. They took the package and put it in a safe place for me so the package wouldn't be stolen. The Sedona Red Rocks were delivered on the 2nd day and Tony was 100% correct when he suggested the size and color. Not only did Lopez Landscaping spread out all the rocks nice and deep, they made sure the entire backyard was leveled. The crew clean up the entire backyard when they were finished. Stop searching for landscape artists and hire this team! After reading the Yelp reviews I just had to meet Tony to see if what I read was true, it was. This guy is a true professional. He took my ideas and put them with his expertise and created a backyard that I am completely satisfied with. Just know that I am so picky on details that I usually do everything myself. My biggest pet peeve with hiring home services is communication and Lopez has done the best job, they used email, followed up on phone calls and even used secondary phone messages when we didn't answer the first phone number, we knew what was happening and when it was happening during the entire process. With the quality and detail, I really felt like they were working on their own homes. On one day I saw an oddity on the edge of barbecue construction and before I could bring it up to Tony, he had already caught it and was having his guy fix it to his standards (and ultimately mine).
