I've walked in and looked around , but never made a purchase. Today was different. I bought stuff. $7.50 in total, tax included. It's the incoming 兔年, and I'm decorating/plastering my front door. This store is not for the masses. It's for the Chinese that want to put up traditional Chinese banners welcoming the new year. Or just to put up banners in general. $2.00 each for 揮春 $0.75 each for 利是封 aka 紅包 for you Mandarin speakers The product is old school. 婆婆 would be the one buying stuff here. None of the more modern decor interpretations that you may find at T&T is here. 福字揮春, check 紅燈籠, check 利是封, check There's other stuff in here, but they've got you covered for your 過年 festivities Reasonably cheap, guy behind the counter seemed helpful to customers. The food was laid out so picturesque at some stalls as well. Everything was very much made fresh to order as well. The facility itself is fairly clean and the restrooms seem to be serviced regularly. I do wish the entrances smelled less like cigarettes but they can't really control what goes on outside and the way that it wafts inside.

My favorite is the Chocolate Strawberry tea bags in a tin can. I love loose leaf teas more, but I'm pretty lazy with cleaning out loose leaf teas, so I tend to get the tea cans with the tea bags. I alao enjoy browsing their soap, bath and skincare area. I love their Lollia and Tokyo Milk lotions, especially Tokyo Milk's "Rose", "Honey Moon" and "Let them Eat Cake" handcreams. Although a bit on the pricey side, this is my to-go to store for teas. The teas have strong great flavor, not like the weak tasting tea bags you get at grocery stores. I also like that there are no pushy sellers like the commission-hungry staff at Teavana, and the atmosphere at David's Tea stores feels minimal and cold. Nikaido feels so warm and friendly whenever I visit, and the staff leave me alone to browse for as long as I like. I highly recommend this boutique for tea lovers. You won't be disappointed!

Besides jewelry and some clothing items, there are small items for gifts, as well as things for the home. I have bought an Ellen mug here when it was on sale. There are also more kitchen stuff I am eyeing which I will be getting once I get my kitchen in order. The staff is usually very welcoming and does not follow you around or hover ceaselessly. I appreciate that as it allows me to just stop and think of the item and if it will suit my place.

i love visiting aberdeen centre, especially during lunar new year, and this year, the year of the…read morefire horse, the atmosphere feels especially fitting. bold. vibrant. and just dramatic enough to be fun. the parking lot though, is a whole other story. slow laps, strategic patience, and the quiet hope that someone is actually leaving. when brake lights flash, you quickly signal and ease into a spot, it feels like a small personal victory. fitting for a fire horse year. inside, the tension disappears. the atrium opens bright and welcoming, warm white lights cascading down. red lanterns line the second level in formation, fairy lights tracing the railings. red against gold. shimmer against polished tile. at the centre, cherry blossom trees frame a vivid red backdrop. two lion dance heads rest at the edge of the stage, alert and expressive, as if ready to spring to life at any moment. friends and families move in easy rhythm. it is busy, but not chaotic. lively, but warm. vendors line the walkways with red envelopes, tassels, lucky charms, and gleaming ornaments. conversations drift between tables as families debate which decoration might bring the most luck for the year ahead. tucked among it all, a lego pop up draws a steady line. bright red bricks categorized by size, sorted neatly, an intricate lego dragon display standing guard. kids build instinctively, and with full concentration. parents "supervise" while quietly contributing a few extra pieces for structural integrity. we wander upstairs, pause along the railing, take it all in. and almost without fail, every visit ends the same way: the food court. because no matter how stunning the decor, no matter how many photos we take, it never feels complete without drinks in hand and snacks on the table or to go.

Once I entered, I was immediately greeted with free samples of their cake! How delightful! Even though they were just samples, they were decorated little cubes of goodness. I loved the attention to detail. They had cupcakes for sale as well as cakes and lots of chocolates and cookies all over the store. I had to get their cupcake - the seasalt caramel one. It was again delightful once I finally got a chance to eat it. They packed it so well in a cute box and even gave me napkins and utensils to go because she was so considerate of how I would share or eat it later outside. She even gave me a plate so I can take the cupcake out later!!! If I lived here, I would totally come here often and try all their desserts. Highly recommend!!! The service is absolutely top notch and the attention to detail is unparalleled. And of course their desserts are excellent too!
