The last IKEA we visited was actually overseas, where they had black sesame and milk tea-flavored yogurt. So we were hoping maybe IKEA Texas would have some localized flavors, but nope! As usual, we walked around the showroom afterward. Coming on a weekday afternoon, it really wasn't that busy inside, although the parking lot was still surprisingly packed. Overall, it was a nice chance to stop by, browse around, and see what's new.

Pretty darn good! I've always had an affinity for Swedish meatball (even the frozen Banquet meals),…read moreand if you're in the mood for some good Swedish meatballs, look no further than IKEA. Luckily I live close to the one in Houston's Spring Branch so we frequent it often. Note: the dining area and parking lot are fairly empty on weekdays; try to avoid weekends unless you like large crowds. The Swedish meatball plate comes with 8 meatballs, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, cranberry sauce, and a cute Swedish flag on a toothpick. Overall, the flavors are good. Peas are bland. Gravy is OK. But the meatballs are great. What are they made of? I actually have no idea and probably don't wanna know. The only reason for the 4 star review is that the prices have gone up quite a bit in recent past so it's not really a great value anymore. The meatball plate will cost you $8.50. If you're an IKEA member (it's free to join), you can get a free coffee so that's a plus. Service is fine. Lastly they recently renovated the entire dining area so it's quite nice. Almost too bright. It is very clean though. And huge. Worth visiting. Check it out!

I haven't eaten at IKEA in a very long time but since they were celebrating their 40th anniversary…read moreby selling their entree (5 piece meatball, mashed potatoes, and veggies) for $2.99, my friend and I thought why not. Honestly, thank goodness it only cost $2.99 because I would be... in an unpleasant mood if I paid more than that lol. The mashed potato and veggies were so flavorless- the only reason why they were edible was because of the gravy that came with the meatballs but even then, it's barely mid. The meatballs on the other hand were yummy! I ended up getting an a la cart for just the meatballs (they sell either 4 or 5 meatballs for around $1.50) and a garlic toast on top. The garlic toast is also just okay. If I were to go back next time, I would just stick to the meatballs.

We sat on a few sectionals and were pleased with their prices, plus many had an additional 20% off. We were then met by Zoe (think that's her name) a nice young lady. Very helpful and not pushy at all. She was able to show us some of the floor models in other colors as well. We went on a Saturday and she said they could deliver as early as Monday, which is unheard of at these times. We said we would look at other places and come back. We later decided we trusted her and liked her style as well as the fact that they can deliver so quickly. They delivered just as promised. They were just a little late but Zoe called early in the day to inform us of this which was greatly appreciated. Great delivery and nice gentleman. We are very pleased with our purchase and furniture. Don't go anywhere else!

Upon unpacking and putting it together I noticed there was a 1" long dent on the desk top edge. I called Cypress and they immediately delivered a new one out and picked up the damaged one. It was painless. I dealt with Zoe there. Upon her follow up phone call to make sure everything was ok. I told her everything was good. Better than good. I was impressed with their service regarding a $370 desk that I ordered an Ashley matching King size sleigh bed frame from them. A $1250 purchase. Zoe said it would be delivered within 2 weeks as they had to wait on it from Ashley. Which was the normal time frame from other companies. Promptly they delivered, set it up on the second floor and hauled the packing and boxes away. I have nothing but good to recommend Cypress Furniture.

This whole area is under construction due to the expansion of FM 1960. Be aware, as part of the parking lot is blocked off for the construction crew and traffic/access can be a real juggle. Selection of dog beds was indeed great, but there were twice as many cat beds. If you're a cat person, this is the place for you, obviously! Picked out a decent bed and headed to the check out. And the wait begins. And drags on and on. I was in line for an excess of 25 minutes, and I was about fifth in line. Right before I was "summoned" to check out, I turned around and counted: there were 20 people in line. Unbelievable, and absolutely no additional cashiers were called. While I like the selection of items at HomeGoods, the wait to check out is excessive. I'm amazed that after multiple years this store still suffers from the same lack of customer service at the check out.
