They hire the cheapest and worst contractors in Asheville. They act like they care, but its only lip service. They have people working on my building at all hours of the day making other apartments around me more expensive to rent despite promises to the contrary. 10pm painting stinking up the entire floor, 7am installing flooring upstairs. Over the past 18 months we worked with Jason (JJ) Shepherd at Looking Glass in search of homes in the greater Asheville area, as part of move from the West Coast back to the East Coast. We were looking for homes in Asheville/Western NC area and several other areas on the East Coast and ultimately bought a home closer to the DC area. However, our during our housing search Jason invested significant time to understand the housing criteria we had, showed us homes during visits to the Asheville area and provided regular housing options via email. Honesty is lacking in the agent. She had information available at an open house from Looking Glass and it stated that at that time the house had been on the market just over a month. In reality the house had been on the market for more than 10 months. The owner will claim it was the fault of a third party. Looking Glass was the ONLY realtor who was ever the listing agent. Any information on the house came from them, not the mls. And they could have chosen to correct what they knew to be deceptive but they chose not to. In fact, as of this date, they are still handing out "owners disclosures" for that property that don't reflect the damage in the house. Shame on them. read more

We have a modest property we are considering renting. I explained to the agent (Mandi Burnett's) I would appreciate her coming to look at the property to evaluate whether or not she would be interested in listing it as a rental property, and if so, what would she recommend be done in order to make the place more desirable as a rental property. She rather arrogantly replied she would not even look at it until all personable belongings were removed and it was "rental ready" which defeated the entire reason for contacting her.
