My parents contracted with Fisher Realty to rent two houses in Pisgah Forest. After signing a contract, the homes sat vacant for five months. I became suspicious that something was going on, and searched for the rental properties on their website. Turns out that neither house was listed on the website. Meaning, they were not advertised to the public, and potential renters could not see them.
I called Amy Fisher (who was working on our contract) to discuss the problem. She claimed that the house listings were there, and that I just couldn't properly use their website. After giving her step-by-step instructions, I finally convinced her that the properties were in fact missing. She blamed their web designer and said that she would get them up on the website soon. Amy was rude and unprofessional on the phone, which was another red flag that something wasn't right.
Weeks later, the rental properties were still vacant. I once again searched for the properties, and did find them on the Fisher website - however, there were no pictures included for either property, and basic information (number of rooms, square footage, etc) was incorrect. My parents decided to cancel their contract and list the properties themselves shortly after.
TL;DR: after Fisher listed our rental properties for 6 months, we filled both houses (using Facebook marketplace) in one week. Highly recommend avoiding. read more
