He is currently a second year in the primary class. He has thrived in this atmosphere and without question stands out from his non Montessori peers. Stepping Stones is a private entity with reasonable tuition rates. I love the fact the lead guides have been there for a long time and are really invested in the welfare (saftey and development) of the students. There is a focus on the environment/nature, foreign language (Spanish), music, art and Yoga. This place is pretty impressive. Many parents send their children to traditional day cares where they learn little. You just have to observe to believe that the Montessori method works. I come from a traditional schooling approach and am amazed by this school, faculty, instruction and the resulting kids.

I watched my clingy, anxious child blossom into a confident and engaged kid ready for whatever comes next, and I know that was due in part to the compassionate work of this dedicated team. Their energy and creativity are boundless. They do great work with academics, and I believe my child is well on the way to being prepared for kindergarten already. Their work on executive function is important too, though, and that's where my child really benefited. He's naturally bright (well, we think so), but he is also gaining the skills to let that brightness shine through in a structured classroom setting. Go ahead and visit other preschools, but come here when you're ready to fall in love with the best group of early childhood educators in town. I emailed every week for the months of February and March to no avail, and Called at the end of March, and eventually scheduled a tour through their call center, only to suddenly get an email that they are full at the beginning of APRIL. I am now in a lurch as every interaction had been positive that I was likely to get care through them, and now I must search WAY later in the year that I wanted to. I am highly disappointed in the centers management and the staff at the call center who didn't bother to say there were no openings before scheduling a tour. This is unacceptable communication from someone who had been loyally advocating for their center.
