He is currently a second year in the primary class. He has thrived in this atmosphere and without question stands out from his non Montessori peers. Stepping Stones is a private entity with reasonable tuition rates. I love the fact the lead guides have been there for a long time and are really invested in the welfare (saftey and development) of the students. There is a focus on the environment/nature, foreign language (Spanish), music, art and Yoga. This place is pretty impressive. Many parents send their children to traditional day cares where they learn little. You just have to observe to believe that the Montessori method works. I come from a traditional schooling approach and am amazed by this school, faculty, instruction and the resulting kids.

As a parent, I feel such a sense of peace when dropping my daughter off and a sense of excitement about picking her up and learning about her experience for the day. The emphasis on nature, communication with parents, kid friendly outings, and education through play is unique and valuable. I would highly recommend this program.

Our daughter came away with such a head start with her education. Her teacher in elementary school has commented on how bright she is and asked where she attended. We could not have been happier with how our experience at Eastminster turned out. We had taken the time to tour many area centers and found this to be the one of the most reasonably priced as well as the one where we felt our daughter would get the most care.

I think this place in theory is wonderful and such a good start for children before school. In reality the providers are tired, short fused, and unable to recognize that they are not helping parents navigate big emotions and changes in behavior. The reaction from the teachers and center director to my sons behavior was to isolate him, allowed my son to be labeled the "bad kid" and ultimately was (from my perspective) a bid to kick him out. It took us 6 months to bring our child back to center and encourage him to communicate his frustration instead of shut down. I wish I noticed how much my son had been made to feel like the "bad" kid sooner. He isn't an angel and I hope this review doesn't come off like I'm excusing anything from his end that happened. I am however disappointed in how the adults, myself included, handled my 5 year old. Disappointed in how uninterested the providers were in helping him, or my husband and I, get past this development stage. This daycare is not cheap, and I was expecting providers that cared to give a resource or provide some kind of guidance other then what actually happened. I left three stars on here because Ms. Mandy is a gem, and of the two years we were there the first year was wonderful. The things they teach the kids and the summer program are great too. It's really just the extremely poor way our time ended.

They are very discriminatory as to which children they want to work with, if they don't like your kid they will just force you out and not try to even work with them. Made me lose several days pay due to their own negligence. Center staff yelled at me on the phone in front of the children to cut me off while I was trying to explain she was incorrect about what their policy statement was. Called corporate and was told I was right and would get an apology, never happened and now they just ignore my calls. Avoid at all costs.
